Just wondering if anyone else is doing an IVF/ICSI cycle in July 2009?

I may be way ahead of myself, just figured I'd get one going!

You are not alone! We have been saving up money for ivf for nearly a year and we will be ready to in July. I just hope the next few months fly by!!!

Hey girls ! I am with you my Appt is for July 13 YAAA ! It might sound far away for alot of us but with a date it makes it so real ! I have been gone from this form for a long time i had hit a realy big rough patch and had to back off ! But I am back I hope we can keep this thread going till july ! I think we will pick up straglers along the way ! any of you can e-mail me at baby4me2hold@yahoo.com we can keep each other going !

we have decided to do IVF...and have to see a few more specialists first. I think by the time we get sorted ...we'll be doing out first round in july...maybe may....but it'll be close and i'd love to share it with you all!

I have lots of call to make next week...have to book in for the counselling to get started!

Hello ladies!

I found out last week that I'll be a Juner instead, but I'm gonna keep up with you as well!

I hear ya about finally having a date. Its like setting a wedding date...lol. Finally a goal to countdown to.

Iris- I'm sure time will fly by; it always seems to! Especially when it comes to saving money for something specific!

Cathie-July 13-an actual date! I'm not even that far, they've just given us a month for now!

Tracey- I saw you on the IVF 2009 post as well! Is couselling mandatory where you live? It is here in Canada. We're going sometime in March.

now Dh and i are on the same page and excited....it'll all be fine.

Hi laddies ! Well there are just a few of us here ! but that is not to bad ! I have not been on line for a while main computer fried GRRRRR! but I am on the laptop now ! Well my re dose not require any console just full steam ahead ! I was hopeing to have the funds to do IVF sooner but it sure don't look like it ! we have to travle 3 1/2 hours one way to my re so me and dh are still working on the details like were we going to stay and we have alot of animales so that is a problem we are tring to work out ! but got a idea to help pass the time I have started a scrapbook on my IVF journy and the people I meat and get to know ! I have had a couple of realy nice laddies send me books cards and even dotane there left over meds and I have started to put them in my book ! It is more just for me dh is realy privet and dose not want any one to know we have to go through IVF I think he is inbaresed I don't know why it is me and my tubes are the problem ! Well hope to here from some of you soon o we can keep this thread going!!!!

good to see an other new face ! I hear where you are comming from about getting rid of some bills so it will be easyer to save ! I have started a small project on the side that is helpping rasie the money we need ! And so far so good !

Hi every one this thread has kinda just stop so I figured I was going to wake it up !!! Hello any one there ! We there is not to many of us so lets getbto know each other ! I'll go first !
Well I am 35 and married I live in a small town in New Mexico , I own a small candie store and I am rasing the money for my IVF though baking and selling the baked stuff to local bussiness it is slow but I'll have all the money by July ! lets see I love animales got a lot of them. I do alot of different crafts and I have rasied my baby sister and 2 nieces for the last 10 years no babbies of my own . I have made a couple of good friends from this form we talk all the time thought texting , e-mail, and phones calls to each other we send cards and gifts all the time to each other so I know I have made some life long friend here ! So who is next !! I would realy like to get to know all of you !

Great idea Cathie! I'll bite...

I'm 27 and live in Canada. This IVF treatment will be our very first, and I'm nervous. I'm trying to embrace the attitude that until there is something to actually worry about, then I won't worry about it. I've been doing regular yoga since October and this has helped me relax tremendously.
We are fortunate that DH's work coverage pays up to $6000 for meds, so we don't have to pay as much as we originally thought. We are pulling in on spending, and cutting costs when we can (bye bye gym membership and satellite TV!). I'm also planning to sell a bunch of old stuff online.
While June still seems so far away to me, we have plenty happening in our little home. We are going to Mexico this weekend for a little RnR. When we return, we will be renovating our house to include a third bedroom, putting in new flooring and some minor landscaping.

Selling old stuff ! Sounds like a plan are you going to use ebay ?
Ok yolu are doing alot of work on your house so you must be a home owner ! We are always working on yours we are doing a bunch of things all at once dh likes it that way we just enlarged or basement from 1 8x8 room to a 22x22 foot room we are making it in to a master bedroom and dh is buliding a master bath and remolding a room for a nursury and that is just the inside dh wants to put a deck around the pool and he is working on 2 of our 3 cars get it we only got 1 running lol! So landscaping do you got a big yard ?

Ok any one else going to share ? Only put what you are comfortable with ! We are on a lond road and some times it gives us some thing to talk about if we know each other a little better !

Hi guys my name is April and I just turned 33 in January. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over 3 years now but as you can see from my signature we found out he does not have the vas deferens tube so will have to have his sperm extracted. Our insurance does not cover anything other than the initial consult so we have spent the last 6 months paying off both of our vehicles so we can use that money to save half of the cost by July then can just pay difference with a no interest for one year period on our creditcard and pay it off in 6 months. Luckily for us we did find a local re who is less expensive than most so total will be somewhere between 10,600 and 11,600 I am thinking even with icsi depending on meds. Our initial consult is scheduled for 5/06/09 to meet our RE and start knocking off any tests we will have to do prior to July. I am extremely nervous about our first ivf because I see alot that it takes 1-3 cycles to work but at the cost I can only think about 1 right now and hope it works out well for us since I am under 35.
