So in my typical fashion, I am getting myself all worked up over what is probably normal. For those of you who have had their retrievals, have you felt seriously bloated to the point you feel you may burst? It is getting worse for me as the day goes on, ugh! I feel like a helium balloon right now! Is this normal, or should I worry?

I've been reading the thread "List your IVF success" for inspiration, trying to hold out hope that embryos don't have to be perfect to have a successful outcome

Good Luck Kris and Cagirl2003 on your fert reports!

YAY for your fertilization report I'm reading that thread too, just for some positive vibes/thoughts. I'm also crazed with the thread "list your e2 and I'll predict the outcome" LOL.....I really need to stay away from these threads as I'm driving myself crazy with all the 'what ifs'.

Oh, good. Thanks so much you guys! I tend to get myself worked up. I am glad you guys had the same thing (well, not glad you had the same thing in the sense you felt like bursting, but glad to know I am normal-relatively).

The nurse told me to drink a lot of liquid but also to make sure that I was also peeing frequently. If you dont pee as much as you drink and gain more than 4 pounds in 48 hours you should report this to your RE immediatly. I felt bloated for a couple of days but it was not so bad. 2 days after ER I was still getting tired quickly but the bloating was gone, although I am still pretty thight in my pants...
Good luck...
Mary

yep...weigh yourself at the same time every day. your weight should reduce with drinking the fluids and peeing a lot. i've peed a TON!

anyway, that's a good monitor for you. i was up like 5-6 pounds and now i'm back down after a few days and gatorade/peeing.

oh and i freak over everything! hence, my mini breakdown this morning of balling my eyes out cause i had blood.

What happens after a Day 3 Transfer?
1 days past transfer (dpt): Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt: Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt: Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt: Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt: Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt: Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt: Morula is completely implanted and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8dpt: Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt: More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt: More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt: HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

Oh this day! I went today for my 5 day B/U. Re said I only Have 6 follicles. I am freaking out! He mentioned that if he has to cancel my cycle he would change my meds. Well what the heck does that mean. Re is keeping me on all the same dose of meds. I have been the same 300 follistim, 5 lupron and 10 low dose HCG. I am just so completely frustrated!! I feel like RE is already on to the 2nd cycle and I am thinking fix this one. I hope I am just freaking out and on fri I will have more pop up (is that possible after stimming for 5 days).
To top it all of... I started to cry a bit and DH seriously does not get it. I totally try to see everything in a good light but boy did he piss me off!
Dh said all the wrong things....text book wrong.
I HATE THIS DAY!! I cant stop crying! ugh!

Sorry TAbby I know what you mean....I had quite a few at my baseline appt, but then they kind of went down after starting stims. I did rebound after day 6 or so though...and started growing more, so you still have time

I completely get it about the husband thing too. My husband is very loving....but during these cycles he's said the wrong things a LOT. Like yesterday he said he wished it was just over so we could move on with our lives. I took that to mean he didn't care if it was negative or positive but he said he did....he just wasn't going to constantly worry about it like me. I think he's worried that if this cycle is a negative that I'm going to keep finding ways to make another one happen and another one....etc and he'll never get me back the way he had me before I was so obsessed with all this cycle stuff.

i'm sorry tabby. to comfort you...a friend in her cycle only had 6 on day 5 and guess what...they ended up retrieving 13 out of 16 follicles and she had 12 fertilize!!!!

i'd push to NOT cancel your cycle. that's totally irrational of your doc. sometimes girls just slowly respond...which can be good. you don't want to stimulate too quickly.

hugs to you. sorry about your dh. they try to make everything better...it's the "fix it" in them lol. try to brush it off as the stress of being mad at him will not help your cycle.

big hugs! for you!

My nurse told me to drink tons of water & gatorade. She said to drink so much that my urine was clear (or almost). Want to keep flushing the system. Mine was 4 days ago & I'm still feeling it to a degree. Not as bad, but still bloated.

So Sorry Tabby! I know how frustrating this is. I had my 5 day B/U and it wasn't what we expected either. I agree, don't let you RE give up on you yet. It is still early.

Tabby, don't worry - everything may still work out perfect! I thought I was going to get cancelled - I only had 5 follies and at ER I got 5 eggs, four fertilized and I had a day 5 transfer with one beautiful blast and one morula (almost blast) - and although I can't test yet, I felt them burrowing in for their 9 month ride last night and I just know it's going to work

Keep thinking positive thoughts!
