Ladies,
I was wondering if anyone else was doing an estrogen priming protocol or had done one in the past. I know there are a lot of threads on it ...but, was curious if I was sharing thsi protocol with any of the June ladies. Welcome to everyone who is new. TAP

I'm 40 (one tube .. b/c ectopic) DH 50 (some male factor) Otherwise we are both perfect Ralph .. 13 years. Just lost to cancerl 1st IVF 225 Gonal F .. 5 eggs, 2 Fertilized and transfered, BFP. ECTOPIC ..  2nd IVF 225 Gonal F.. 5 eggs, 4 fertilized 2 made to transfer, Chemical. June-Aug. ... worked on adoption homestdy 3rd IVF. 325 Gonal F Only 3 follies. Converted to IUI. Insemination on Aug 21 08. Oct. '08 Adoption Paperwork complete. 4th IVF. Clomid and 125 Gonal F. Only 4 follies. Converted to IUI. Insemination on Feb. 3rd April Matched with Baby boy. Took home April 22nd. Reclaimed April 29th. 5th IVF. THIS WILL BE OUR LAST. ESTROGEN PRIMING Estimated Timing April 13th Started Lupron April 22nd May 1 Baseline and Estrodyl May 15th Start Stims. 225 Gonal F in Morning 225 Menopur at night. Retreival May 28th. EIGHT Eggs. Transfer soon.

Hello Ladies-
I would like to join the June group as well. This is our second IVF attempt. Our first IVF in March resulted in a .Can someone add me to the list? I started BCPs on May 1 and I have an estimated stim start date of May 28. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi Ladies,
I'm new to message boards and IVF... so I hope I'm not too late to join! I just read through the posts and I think this is the right group for me- if not, just let me know! I go tomorrow for my first sono/bloodwork and start BCP tomorrow. So, if I'm doing the math correctly (I was an English major, so my math is up for review...), I believe we'll retrieve/transfer in early/mid June. Here's my past (I don't know how to do this or use the abbreviations... forgive me!): Me- 27, endometriosis, missing left tube DH- 26, high level of mutated swimmers Married- 3 1/2 years TTC- 1 yr Ectopic- Sept 2008 (left tube rupture) Met with several specialiast and have "unexplained infertility".  theBunn and WanaBeeMom!!! You will love this forum. Some quick advice: Check out the Acronyms link at the top of the page to learn about some of the abreviations that are used. Once you see them, it'll all make sense. (I've learned tons of new terms since joining...It really helps when you are talking to your Doc or RE) Also you can set up a profile through the UserCP link and get your personal history built into a signature. It sounds like you both are in the right place! Best of luck on your cycles!Wishing all the couples out there in the very near future!

DH 30: no problemsTTC: 1.5 years Oct 08 IUI: BFN Nov 08 IUI: BFN Dec 08 IUI: BFN 1st IVF Begin stim: 3/15/09 10 follicles on scan ER: 3/26 7 eggs removed, 2 embryos transfered on day 5 ET: 3/30 B/W: DH and I: Heartbroken!Consult: eggs not good quality, embryos had little chance to survive 2nd IVF Stims: 6/14 ER: 6/24 ET: 6/29 - 2 embies transferred Beta: 7/7 BFN Heartbroken times 2! I guess we'll move onto adoption or egg donation since my eggs are not holding up so well. Good luck everyone!

Carla- I am happy to see you here! It will be fun to share our IVF cycle too!
However.... It looks like I may have to wait a few months now. Because of all the cysts, my RE wants me to do lupron for 2 or 3 months. However, he is trying to get my insurance to pay for it. If they won't he is going to skip it. So I should hopefull know more this week. I will be starting lupron regardless and then of course BCP, so now I am using an OPK for my surge. I thought I was done with those silly things! Anyway, I am also updating the list... I was in 2 places! Hello,
I was put on BCP 3 mo ago. If I am going to cycle in June when will the Re take me off BCP?? When It comes to all of this IVF stuff I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thanks for any help...I really appreciate it.

I was in the May group but think I joined the wrong group *doh*. I started my BCP on May 3rd and believe my egg retrieval is in early June. I go in for injection training on the 11th and will get a better schedule then.
Let's get some POSITIVE BFP's this month ladies... Baby dust and hugs to all!

TabbyM - I'm not sure that I can answer you question and hopefully the other ladies are more knowledgable but I thought I'd share my experience. During my last IVF cycle, I was on BCP until 3 weeks prior to ER. Of course this will vary based on your specific protocol. But assuming this is the same for you, then if you have an early June retreival, you'll probably remain on BCP until mid-May or so. Hopefully you don't have too much longer.
Something else to consider is that your RE is also managing a schedule with other couples and needs to ensure that they can support your ER/ET based on thier calendar. I doubt this would change things too much for you but it is something that you should keep in mind. I know it seems like years from now but the time really does start to fly...and once you are off the BCP you will feel like you on your way to getting your dream.  Baby dust for everyone!

hello and
to all the newbies.im still waiting for af in which she arrives on mothers day. lately ive been feeling really exicited and knowing that i should get my calendar 4 days after af. Im glad to see everyone moving along...  I have a question for the last two nights i have been having this severe cramp in my left ovary and this really thick clear mucus discharge (sry if its TMI) so i was wandering if im ovulating or if i should be concerned for a cycst????

for including me in your forum!! I look forward to following everyone I wish I could offer some advice to those with questions, but I'm super new to all of this. I know what it's like to be occupied with medical questions and feeling like you can't quite find the answer , so I that you find what you need!I started BCP today and Lupron starts a week from today. The sono and BW looked great (whatever that means). Can you please add me to the BCP list? And, I have a question for those with more experience in this... when will the drugs start affecting me? Is it with the Lupron? I'm just trying to plan my life accordingly Praying for for all of us!!

Hi ladies,
I was cruising around the web doing some research and I stumbled across The SHER Institutes for Reproductive Medicine - Network of infertility practices. They are a national fertility practice that has forums for different regions of the U.S. Post a question and an RE gets back to you with a response. I tried it today and got a response in an hour with an offer to call with any questions. AFter my first failed cycle, I had some questions about my situation and I found his response really helpful.
