Update
To all the newbies on the thread. You will make lots of new friends who really care about you. So always feel free to ask. :-DWell today my DH is going to have his seamen analysis done. I am so worried about it. If it doesn't look good, we might have to wait for 3 months before we start our cycle. I am so hard that it looks good enough for ICSI.We don't get the results till the end of next week and i'm meant to have my b/w and u/s done next week. I can't help but worry.

Me: 30, Tubal challenges DH: 38, very low count d/t pituitary tumor TTC: 2 yr+ Fertility Journey March 13th, found out at a routine check up that both my tubes were block. IVF #1 about to begin. 04/09 Began RJ/RPollen with DH 04/17 DH went to see urologists. Waiting for go for lab test. 05/06 DH on HCG now. Waiting for the swimmers to wake up. 10/12 Began BCP and had u/s and blood work done RN says everything is VERY GOOD. (Hmm, we'll see) 10/22. Dh went for SA for swimmers. Swimmers 0. Moving to mTESE.10/27 u/s and blood work. Antagonist protocol 11/06 Baseline 11/08 Starting Stims on 375iu of follistim. 11/12 Follies, L:6 R:3 11/14 Follies, L:6 R:4 start Ganarelix today 250iu 11/19 Trigger 11/21. ER. 8 eggies 11/24 or 11/26 ET

Is anyone taking Marvelon as the BCP? I haven't taken the pill since I was a teen and wonder if the dizziness, nausea and sleepiness could be attributed to it. I feel awful *ugh*.

Ola sorry to hear it will take so long to get those results.I would go ahead with the plans for your b/w and ultrasound and try your best to be optimistic it will work out. We will be crossing our fingers for you.

Brooklyn- Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well! I am on Loestrin and so far, so good. I am curious when I'll start to feel the affects of all of the hormone adjustments. Maybe with the Lupron??
I went to a consult today with an acupuncturist. Has anyone tried this in the past? She said that some studies show that a woman doubles her chances of conceiving with IVF by doing acupuncture, but I've been researching and I think it's more like 20%. Still- I'll take that 20%! I'm scheduled for my first appt on Friday- same day my Lupron arrives. for for all of us!

Hello Ladies,
Jessica, Thank you soooo much for adding me to the list! It feels nice to belong somewhere when going onto Ivf. Ecox03, Thank you for the advice about BCP. It means a lot you took the time. Well today I went for my consent app. They went over what to expect. The Ivf manager should be calling to tell me when to stop BCP. It feels like things are moving along. FINALLY!! I guess I need to be moved to the BCP list....thanks Jessica Wishing all of you girls lots and lots of dust!! Thanks again

It is excellent for stress maintenance and I'm sure it does help the blood flow to your uterus making it more healthy and hospitable. I would definitely suggest it. We kinda broke the bank going, so I am trying my local acupuncture school next week. It's $30 instead of $95!! I'll let you know how it goes. Sounds like it will be well worth it though.

me 39: tubal ligation after 3rd child DP 39: no problems Lost 3 children and husband 2/2/97 1998 tubal ligation reversal 2003 conceived but lost after 9wks 2008 laproscopy tubes now blocked 2/22 start lupron 3/7 stims (gonal pen, 5 Lupron) 3/18 er 17 eggs! woohoo 3/19 fertility report 4eggs fertilized and 6 more have potential 3/23 ET 4 embies transferred not the best quality preparing for the worst hoping for the best 4/1 Beta 4/17 consulation with RE regarding next cycle we are going ahead with another cycle when AF arrives next month probably adding menapur. 4/17 waiting for 5/23 start lupron 6/2 6/5 appt with re baseline u/s bw, large cysts on left side stims put off till monday. 6/8 stims gonalf menapur 6/17 trigger 6/19 er 16 eggs 6/20 fertility report/ 8 fertilized 6/22 6 transferred 1-8cell, 2-6cell, 3-4cell 7/3 beta

Well, we're back.....after a long year's wait. I am waiting on AF now....should be here around the 9th and then I can start BCP's (or OCP's as my RE likes to call them).
After that she said that she'll probably cut my BCP's a little short so that I can make the ER and ET cut off date for the lab closure. I'll be on antagonist protocol this time, was on Lupron/GonalF and Menopur last time. The first time I had 7 eggs retrieved (which I thought was okay for my age) and 5 fertilized conventionally. I had 3 put back on day 3 and none left to freeze. On days 7,8 and 9 I got a BFP on the HPT's I was taking...but by the time Beta rolled around I had gotten AF We have secondary IF so we were really shocked that it didn't work that first time....and didn't think we'd ever get to do another cycle. Our RE is offering 1/2 price cycles this year for those that had a failed cycle in the last year so we had just enough after refinancing our house and we're going to take the leap. Well, I guess that's enough about me....best of luck for us all and our BFP's!

Can I join the group? I've recently moved to IVF and because time is of the essence for us, we cancelled this months microstem IUI combo and are moving right to IVF. I cancelled it because of the really high odds of success with IVF and I was worried we'd get a BFP on this IUI cycle, then lose the baby early (not uncommon for my age).
We're using donor eggs. I'm looking at the profiles now and two are perfect, both are ready right now. Since I've been under the care of a great RE who works with my clinic, I can get right into the IVF without a bunch of testing. DH and I are really excited. There is nothing "wrong" with me, aside from old eggs, and DH's sperm is fabulous (poster child for wonderful sperm we're told) so they give us an over 80% chance at success with two eggies planted. After a year of failed IUI's and a miscarraige, I'm finally excited again!
