At day 3 we had nine Grade 1 & 2 embryos. Today, we still had nine, but only one had made it to full blast stage, and it is a grade 2. We transferred it along with two grade 2 morulas and one grade 3 early-blastocyst. So we transferred four!!! It sounds aggressive, but the Dr felt that the risk of high multiples was so slight that it was worth it.

Leora - I definitely had some major flunkies too! Out of the 7 that we got, 5 held on until the day before the 5dt but only 2 stuck it out (even then they were only in the early blast phase). It's just so disappointing when that happens. I'm so glad that you had a full blast and some good morulas to transfer! 4 - WOW! I'm that one or two strong ones stick for you!

FRER Question??

So, I did something I never do and POAS yesterday. I went to walgreens a bought FRER and got a very faint line with FMU. This morning the line was darker than yesterday. As you can see below, my beta on Tuesday was 18. Since the line is getter darker, should I expect my beta to be higher today or am I getter my hopes up just to be let down again? I really don't ever POAS and I have never used FRER so I am not sure what to expect... the web is full of a lot of info, non of which is very helpful.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer. I thought I might have a yeast infection (I've been taking antibiotics for the infection I got at the PIO injection sites), so I went to the ob, and while I was there, I asked if they would please do an u/s....

Happily, they obliged, even though I'm not quite six weeks (will be six weeks tomorrow). So, there are three (GULP!) sacs, and one with a heartbeat that they could see and measure. He thought it was too early to count the other two in or out yet, but I'm going to take this as really good news.

Yay!

Lucky you though, I still have 8 days to wait for my US... I'm going bonkers.

I do have some pretty serious morning sickness right now though - the first I've had *blah*.

YAY Wannabeamomma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Congrats

KelB, my FRER have been getting darker each day. I assume, and have read, that implies that your HCG is going up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

AFM, I have cramps today and yesterday, but my FRER came up right away with a dark line this morning. Is the cramping normal???

AMF: Congrats....wow, that's great. I'm praying that when I go in on the 14th that they see atleast 2.....I'm dying though, and my SIL is a sonographer so I could just call her up and go in. Not sure I want a vag. sonogram by my SIL though LOL

KelB: The PeeOnAStick website says that HPT's don't tell you HOW pregnant you are, they just have dye that either sticks to the hormone strip or not. But I did see mine get darker....I guess the more hormone in your body to stick to that strip the more dye it might soak up? I do have some really cheap HPT's though that I buy online and they don't really get much darker.....so I think it really depends on the brand. The equate ones I bought get a dark blue line but then the next day it's barely there...just kind of really thin blue line, still dark but not as wide as it was the day before. The FRER keep their color pretty much.....I've marked all mine with a sharpie and I've kept them in a ziploc just to compare from day to day. This process makes women do strange things doesn't it LOL

It's very normal. My nurse said that your uterus is growing and things are moving around so the cramps are completely expected. You cramp during AF because your uterus is doing what it's meant to....and you cramp pretty much the same when you're pregnant because it still deals with your uterus. It's a good sign....embrace it LOL The difference in my AF cramps and the BFP cramps were that I could kind of move around or lie on my back...etc and the BFP cramps would subside sometimes, AF cramps hurt no matter what position I was in.
