This cycle they gave to me 1/2 price since I'd have a failed one in the last year....they were doing this due to the economy, and it was 7000 plus meds that were around 4500.....it's crazy what IVF cost without insurance but I am glad we were able to afford 2 cycles with discounts, we couldn't have afforded 2 cycles at full price.

Happy Monday... or not?

Kelb, good luck with betas today! Kelb, numbers are increasing greatly.

Wannabe, I'm not sure how I missed your post yesterday but girl-it was only a dream (or a nightmare!). Just relax because you will be insane shortly when beta day doesn't come soon enough, when trying to decide if to POAS and when you do it's BFN, when waiting for forst u/s...see plenty of other opportunities to lose your mind are up ahead heehee

The rest of the ladies having this morning conversation about hpt, darker or lighter lines, etc... boy did you all sound like I feel. It's a crazy thing to be so stressed and worried when we should be happy like Anj said about "each day" but for me, it sure is harder to do than say. I had a freak worry this weekend that I had an ectopic pregnancy due to cramping, low back pain and some on and off sharp feelings so of course I called my ob who tells me to STOP READING ONLINE information. I just want to feel like I'm doing something as I wait. Especially after talking to my RE's assistant who said they'd do another beta on 7/16 before the u/s to make sure I'm still pregnant-geez thanks for being so positive!

Thanks Hazel - yes, it was a dream - but bc it was a replay of the days events - I convinced myself that while I was trying to push the pee into the bedpan - I pushed out the embabies. I am NUTS !! A big bag of MIXED NUTS.

I also agree that we should all stay away from the internet - its meant to be helpful but for those of us just hanging on by a thread - not so much !!

Wannabeamomma talk about nightmares, last night I had a nightmare that my blastocysts were of very bad quality and this cycle was also going to fail. And this is just the first day after the transfer... I still can't imagine how the rest of the week will pass by.

Really, those who don't have to go through infertility treatments to get pregnant are really blessed and the majority don't realize it.

to all of you for a and a healthy

Welcome back from the long weekend everyone. Sorry I was MIA for a while. I had family visiting and so I took a little break from the internet. I gotta tell you my mind was thanking me because I was able to focus on so many other things instead of on the wait. Of course like most of you it wasn't ever very far from my mind but the breaks definitely made for a more relaxing weekend.

Anyway, I wanted to anj, bmwolf70 and gbutterfly! Anj you are definitely quickly fitting into our little world with your great advice! I hope that the rest of us can offer you all some support and friendship while you move forward.

A HUGE Congrats to amf728, Jessica and gbutterfly on your confirmed ! Hazel and Kelly keep up the great Beta numbers too!!! (Good luck on Beta #3 today, Kelly!)

Jessica - 500 on your 1st Beta? That is crazy! Are you ready for twins?

We have a couple of POAS positives out there that definitely deserve some congrats! Megz, Anj - congrats and hoping the Betas come back strong!

Margie, Praying, Leora and Wannabeamomma - I'm so glad that you got your transfers in over the weekend and for plenty of for your embabies! Hold on tight kiddos!!! Hoping your wait goes by quickly for you!

Cathy - I hope that your ER went well and you got plenty of eggies! Like someone else said.....I have egg-envy....What amazing numbers! Get plenty of rest and let us know what the stats are when you get them!

Mandy and April should have just started their stims. I hope that the meds are ok and that you aren't having too many side effects yet! Your time is coming. Hang in there!!!

Last but definitely not least....I want to offer up HUGE HUGS to adkwmn39 and bmwolf70. We all understand how difficult it must be for you and just wish all the best for you and your future plans. Please keep in touch!

AFM - I am one day away from getting my first Beta results. Since I have to work tomorrow I'm asking the office to call and leave a message on my phone in the afternoon. That way I can leave a little early and my DH and I can get the news together. We did this last time and while the news was tough it was so nice to have DH with me. We are praying that we can celebrate tomorrow night!!! I haven't had any major symptoms but I have had some minor twinges and the occassional semi-painful cramping. Plus DH said he noticed that I'm walking more gingerly and I seem more tired. I hadn't really picked up on that but I think that each of those symptoms can be attributed to so many things. My body has been thru so much over the last 2 weeks I would expect the occassional twinge and tiredness regardless if there really is a baby growing or not. I'm trying to not read too much into the things that I feel since they could very easily be the result of the meds or my uterus/ovaries adjusting post ER/ET. I guess it's my way of trying to protect myself. (Not sure it's working but it's all I can do while I wait)

I know a couple of others out there are going in for betas tomorrow too. Baby4Gerbee and Anj - good luck tomorrow!!! I'm just so excited!!!!

Below are the updates that I've been tracking. For all of you ladies out there...regardless of the phase that you each are on, I that you have peace of mind and relaxation this week. I know that times are really trying and it's hard to stay positive. No matter how things go, we will all have our dreams fulfilled in one form or another but I truly pray that we all are successful during this round! Big hugs for all of us!!

Ok ladies, so you know how some of you were saying something about twins because of my beta numbers? Well, I had the first u/s this morning, and there *may* be a second baby (gulp!). There's definitely a clear view of a sac with one baby in it with a heartbeat, but then the Dr. found another flutter and light gray mass off to the side, but no other obvious sac/baby. So they're having me come in next week for another u/s to see what's going on in there. She said that it happens sometimes this early, but I'm wondering how you can see a heartbeat and pretty much nothing else. Any of you ever heard of this?

I am amazed at all that is happening on here!!! I confuse myself trying to do to many personals, but I want to say
to the newbies! We're so glad you can join us!

Congrats on all the BFP's!! That is AWESOME. I swear there's a new one everyday!

For the ladies that weren't successful this time around. I'm that you get the desires of your hearts!!

And for all the ladies who are still in the 2ww--Hang in there! I know it's torture, but we're here for you if you need to pass the time!

ecox: Wow are you organized! I'm really impressed that you manage to keep THAT many ladies together! It's great to see how everyone is doing. The next time you update.... please move me to the "Pregnant" category... as hesitant as I feel to even say it! I had my first beta today... and came in at 60.

Congrats on the possible twins, Coley, how exciting!

Wow....What great news! Nicole - first off...congrats on seeing the heartbeat of one let alone possibly two! I can't wait to hear how the u/s goes next week!!!!

Congrats to Kellay! You are definitely preggo! Keep the good betas coming!

BTW - I'm not too terribly organized but I have gotten a system down for tracking updates and now that I have very little to do at work, I get to spend my time monitoring the forum and seeing how everyone is doing. Without this group, my days would ddddrrrrrraaaaaggggg on soooooo long I'd be asleep at my desk in minutes. So keep up the chatter, girls! I need to keep pretending that I'm working.......shhhh don't tell anyone!

Congrats on all those eggies As far as what I did....my RE doesn't tell patients to even do 24 hours of bedrest...but I did take it easy for a few days because my ovaries hurt so bad. I played handheld games, did crosswords, watched TV, took LOTS of naps LOL and read all the magazines that I'd been throwing in the magazine basket because I'd not had time to read them.

I was told to take it easy and enjoy being waited on for 2 days but not necessarily bedrest either. so I just lounged around the house. I did go to lunch once with some family friends but still just moved from one chair to the car to a chair at the restaurant. I figured that wasn't too bad. Actually I've been pretty lazy ever since ER. My DH won't let me do much which has been nice. I recommend it! It's funny....we are always looking for something that we can do to make this work and if taking it easy has any impact, then it's worth it.

Have movies on standby and possibly a good book. Also if you have anyone who can come sit with you (babysit you) then ask them. My mom is retired and spent a couple of days hanging out while DH was at work. At the very least we can chat online until your bedrest is over. Happy to help fill the time for you.

Oh....don't forget the pineapple. I ate it for about 4 days in a row after the ET until I got tired of it.

Unhappy Beta #3

Beta came in at 185... not high enough to continue into a healthy, viable pregnancy . So, I discontinue meds and should show up in a few days. There is also the possibility this could be an ectopic pregnancy. So, basically there was no good news today. They will continue to watch my hcg level and make sure it goes down.

Dh and I have no idea where to go from here! I guess we will take a few days to mourn and try to figure out what to do next. Good luck to everyone!

KelB....seriously? I mean I know it's not quite doubled on that last 2 days....but it's really close. And it's going in the right direction, I don't understand?

I'm sorry that you're going through this....I guess I'd have a hard time stopping meds and not going in for a 4th BETA before losing all hope. There are LOTS of ladies that didn't have doubling BETA's on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd test.....and many of them went on to have healthy babies.

I'm sorry again.....I just can't believe they aren't going to give you another BETA to make sure before doing something as drastic as stopping meds.
