Hey All~

I haven't ever posted before but I think this is the thread that I belong on. Also, I don't really know all of the abbreviations yet but am trying to learn how to use them, so I'm going to go ahead and apologize for that now.

DH and I have TTC for over 2 years. Went to an RE last year that just didn't work for us, so we walked away and tried on our own for a while and then didn't try at all for the rest of the year. This year we started with a GREAT RE who did all diagnostics by mid March. Last week we attended the IVF Seminar and now here we are. We are waiting until June to do our first IVF Cycle and TTC'ing () on our own in the meantime. Also, I'll be taking Metformin (picking up script this week) and trying to be as healthy as I can be in the meantime.

I am very excited to carry on to the next step FINALLY and am looking forward to a great summer.
To All!!!!!!!

I'm on BCP now for a saline sono on Friday. Start Lupron May 10th. This is our first IVF cycle and hopefully a successful one! I'm thankful to have all of you ladies to figure out this crazy journey. Hi all, I did not know any of the lingo either when I joined last month but if you click on the acronym link (just to the right of the User CP link) in the subheader of this website it will guide you through.

So excited to have some IVF friends to go through this process with. Even though we are doing an FET it's just so nice to have buddies to share everything with!

Shari-gonzo - Thanks for the info. about the acronym link, I will be working on doing better with those. It is very nice to have buddies to share this with.

I have to say that I didn't realize what all I have been missing having no one to connect with about our infertility. This is going to be very helpful.

Trying41 - Thanks so much for the great welcome. Hopefully all goes great for everyone in June.

How far ahead did everyone get their protocol's together before you actually started with the BCP's? I am getting nervous because we have not yet scheduled our IVF Consult so that we could get the protocol from our RE. I have a call into our IVF Nurse so we can make sure all of our ducks are in a row and we can carry on as soon as the finances are in order. I can't wait. I am wondering if we shouldn't have already had that appointment.

Skogies, were you in the March group also? I was as well but joined this group since my March cycle did not work out.

We're going to do a frozen transfer for June. Went to see my RE today but they messed up on the schedule and we were going to have to wait 2 hours to see him - guess the IVF business is booming! Anyhow, we're having our consult this Friday afternoon instead.

to you.

to you.

Yes I was in the March thread also....but ours did not work either. It was very shocking and devastating to us as we have done this appx two years ago with a positive result. And according to RE this cycle on paper was perfect in every way just like our last successful IVF so....you just never know, it truely is in God's hands. But we did a Shared Warranty program so we have 2 more tries so hopefully the next one will be successful. RE told me yesterday they will do assisted hatch the next time but nothing else different. Unfortunatley we did not have any embrios make to freeze so we have to start from scratch, oh well.

Well enjoy your next couple months off. I am going to spend it trying to shed the 15 lbs I gained from the stims just so I can gain it back again in June .
Take Care.

if you need help financially with IVF, he is the best dr.

Western suburbs, IL - The Fertility Institute at Edward Hospital in Naperville is conducting a clinical study of an investigational medication’s impact on in vitro fertilization, and researchers are looking for participants.

Women who qualify for the randomized study will be given either an investigational product that excretes progesterone or an FDA-approved progesterone medication. To be eligible, women must be 18- to 34-years-old non-smokers with a body mass index of 38 or below and one functioning ovary.

All women who take part in the study will receive one IVF treatment cycle at no cost. The study will include investigational medications, monitoring visits and office visits up to 12 weeks’ gestation in the event of pregnancy. Preliminary diagnostic tests and some medications will be paid for by study participants.

The Fertility Institute specializes in treating complex infertility and has offices in Naperville and Schaumburg. Dr. Charles E. Miller and his team, who will be leading the research, have helped thousands of Chicagoland couples achieve pregnancy. To check success rates, visit www.pregnancynow.com.

For more information and to enroll in the study, call (847) 593-1040 or visit www.pregnancynow.com.

Started a List!

Hey Ladies

I just thought I would start a list of everyone in the June group. I know it is a little bit early but as more and more join the harder it would be to make a list without leaving someone out. I thought it would be helpful to keep up with everyone and where they are at in their cycle. I pulled this from a previous thread I was on. I hope this helps. I have put everyone in the Waiting to start. If you know when you will be starting other things (bcp, lupron, etc.) just update the list by copying it to your post and putting yourself in the right place. I am not trying to take over or anything but I just thought it was really helpful with my last cycle.
