Talking Bfp

I started out on this thread but fell off because it caused me to over think and over stress reading through everyone's progress. We finally got our BFP and are expecting twins! We're 6 weeks PG today and have had 1 US already with two visable sacs - there's maybe 3! Another US next Friday for another sac count and heartbeat.
Good luck to anyone else in the 2WW or for those still looking for their BFP....it will come!

Welcome back Nirac9 !!

So excited for you and your twins / maybe triplets.

I also have to say that selfishly - your timing for coming back and posting is huge for me. As I see you had a lower BETA and you are now doing so well.

I had my 1st beta yesterday and it too was lower than the norm. But seeing your results has just given me such hope !!

G-D Bless and feel good !!

Nirac - welcome back and congrats on your double ! That must be exciting. It just goes to show that the first number is not the most important - especially since it didn't even show that you had twins!

Good luck Wannabe - I know your beta will be perfect tomorrow!

Hazel - congrats on seeing the heartbeat!

Lucy - enjoy the beach!

Hi -

Very sad and sorry to report that my Beta went DOWN to 10.8.

I wish I knew why my body won't let me be pregnant.

At first they said to stop the PIO, and I would get my period in about 2 weeks - but I asked if there was any chance that the numbers could go up. So they called back and said if I wanted to continue to do the PIO shots for 2 more days until my next blood test on Monday to confirm the values are NEGATIVE - then I could.

Not sure what to do. Do I really need false hope?

So I think we are just going to call it quits for this cycle and then will consult with my RE and the nurse said we could very well start cycle #2 with my next period (after this one)

Thank you to each of you for all your support.
Will be sure to check in on you from time to time to see how u are all doing !!

Wanna, this is the kind of news that breaks my heart. I'm very sorry for this happening to you and pray for comfort. If it makes you feel better to stay on the shots until Monday, I'm sure there's no harm in doing so until you're more sure.

Wannabeamomma: I know this is awfully painful ... and Im sorry you are going thru this. Here's how Im looking at it ... my body is "trying to get pregnant" .. . struggling, but trying. Something did happen inside you... which is why the HCG went up ... and while it may not have stuck... the body learns... and next time know better!

I dont have any children at all (and seems you dont either)... so basically our bodies have been in a deep freeze for a while, and finally its getting around to recognizing that it does have this other special function ... that of sustaining life. For some of us, it just will take a little longer.

Keep a positive attitude ... im trying hard. Hang in there, and after you have taken a little time to grieve (it is important) and to pamper your self, have a good talk with ur RE and decide next steps.

You wannabeamomma? well, you gonnabeamomma .. someday soon !! cheers, and hugs,

Anj

ps: they do need to track the HCG levels to zero to ensure that you get ur period and there are no complications ... have my own test on Monday (again!)

I am so overwhelmed by your kindess and support.
I pray your dream comes true as well.
Your attitude is wonderful.

So far, I have just been going thru the motions...went to a movie with DH last night, didn't really laugh at all and cried the whole way home. It comes in waves. It really is a grieving process. And the waiting for my AF to come - is like torture bc still at this moment - my baby is still inside me. Whether its still an embryo or not - it WAS MY BABY !!!
Just gotta keep pushing on, I guess and in time it will get better, right ??

Thank you again Anj, you are something very special !!

PS. I opted to stop the PIO shots. Just want my body to do what it needs to do, so we can move on. The chances of a rise at this point are nill - why delay the inevitable...right??

Wannabe - it's so hard when it doesn't work and my heart is breaking for you. I hope that you'll be able to dust yourselves off and try again. I believe with all my heart that if you can afford (financially and emotionally) to keep trying, that eventually you will achieve your dream. It only takes one... (that's my daily affirmation!)

So I'm sending and wishing you a quick recovery and lots of other good things in life to take your mind off the present. Maybe I'll see you on the September board?

Leora
