New to IVF
Well, the appointment went very well. The doctor is wonderful and very friendly. The RN Donna was great and explained everything to me and i have a large booklet that explains everything which is good.
Well i am now waiting for my  to come next month for everything to really begin but i'm not sure if things are going to happen next month.I found out that my DH has very low sperm count and he has an appointment with a specialist next friday. So right now we really don't know when everything will really begin. I'm playing the waiting game now till i know more about my DH's problem. I am very hopeful that the test will be positive and we'll be able go ahead with everything. I will keep you all posted on his result. Ola

IVF #1 about to begin. 04/09 Began RJ/RPollen with DH 04/17 DH went to see urologists. Waiting for go for lab test. 05/06 DH on HCG now. Waiting for the swimmers to wake up.  10/12 Began BCP and had u/s and blood work done RN says everything is VERY GOOD. (Hmm, we'll see) 10/22. Dh went for SA for swimmers. Swimmers 0. Moving to mTESE.10/27 u/s and blood work. Antagonist protocol 11/06 Baseline 11/08 Starting Stims on 375iu of follistim. 11/12 Follies, L:6 R:3 11/14 Follies, L:6 R:4 start progesterone today 250iu

My DH has a low sperm count and motility as well so we have to do IVF with ICSI. Have you talked to your RE about if this would be an option for you?

Hello ladies! I have been lurking in the IVF forums for a while. I go for my second-first consult April 13th, so believe we will actually do our IVF in June. So I think this is the group I belong in!

New to IVF
 Nicole. You will find that the ladies here are very supportive and will help you with any question they can help answer.Jessica: Yes we did speak to the RE about it and he was the one that gave us the info for a male fertility specialist. We have an appointment with him friday after next. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will find some and we can begin with process. My RE says i'm ready but we need to get my DH on track. I was very sad today but had to be strong for my DH because he felt like it is now more of his fault that things are on hold till all tests on his part is done. We were told by the RE that if they don't find sperm strong enough to use, we may have to wait for 120 days for his sperm cycle to get stronger while he takes the meds he has to take. It all sounds nuts to me. 120 days wait.  All i can do is wait to see how the tests go and hope for the best. Ola

Nicole!! purpledta- I hope everything works out the way you want it to. I know 120 days is a long time but I think it takes about 3 months for sperm to mature from start to finish. I am guessing this is the reason for the wait. Is the specialist you are seeing doing TESE? Hopefully they will be able to find what they need. I also updated the list with the new ladies. I guess I will be joining too. We just found out last Friday that IVF #2 was a
. We were very hopeful as we had a low BETA on 4/1 (Some April Fools Joke!), but instead of doubling, the level dropped. We meet with our RE next week and hopefully we will be able to try again in June. I am a teacher and would really like to try when things are a little less stressful eventhough I think we could try again in May. We really love our RE but after 2 failed IVFs we are trying to decide if we should at least get another opinion. He is an excellent Dr., and we have many issues other than my endo. The plan is to do ICSI this time as we have discovered that my eggs don't fertilize well (only 2 last time), and DH's sperm is excellent. Any advice? How long did you wait before getting a 2nd opinion?

I sort of jumped ship with my first RE after my early miscarriage. Mine was for different reasons though. I had many recommendations (and all positive) to the clinic I will now be going to. The fact that they have a guarentee program was a plus as well. Also, there were some things that happened and things that I think could have been done differently with my first RE and his clinic that could have possibly changed the outcome of my situation. I didn't have the greatest experience there so I wasn't a very difficult decision for me. Maybe some of the other ladies might have so advise for you that will help. Anyways Again! I am glad you are with us!!

Hello ladies i've been posting in May but just last week I was told that I have to wait until May 19 to start since my ins covers 100% but I have a pre-existing and wont lift up until May 19th.
Right now i am only waiting to start BCP and than the rest of the meds.... Happy Easter

I know I was laid off last month but I kept the insurance I feel like it was a blessing from God as I was only employed with the company 6mths...
But I am so excitied i cant wait until my period gets here to start BCP....

Hello to all the June IVF ladies. We got a
on April 1st it was our first IVF cycle. We have a consult on 4/17 to discuss the plan for our next cycle which I think will be June. This forum is very helpful I was in the May IVF group and couldnt have gone through the cycle without it.

me 39: tubal ligation after 3rd child DP 39: no problems Lost 3 children and husband 2/2/97 1998 tubal ligation reversal 2003 conceived but lost after 9wks 2008 laproscopy tubes now blocked 2/22 start lupron 3/7 stims (gonal pen, 5 Lupron) 3/18 er 17 eggs! woohoo 3/19 fertility report 4eggs fertilized and 6 more have potential 3/23 ET 4 embies transferred not the best quality preparing for the worst hoping for the best 4/1 Beta 4/17 consulation with RE regarding next cycle we are going ahead with another cycle when AF arrives next month probably adding menapur. 4/17 waiting for 5/23 start lupron 6/2 6/5 appt with re baseline u/s bw, large cysts on left side stims put off till monday. 6/8 stims gonalf menapur 6/17 trigger 6/19 er 16 eggs 6/20 fertility report/ 8 fertilized 6/22 6 transferred 1-8cell, 2-6cell, 3-4cell 7/3 beta

Hello everyone,
I am not sure if I fall into May OR June. So, if it is OK, I will post on both threads. I had a negative beta from my 2nd IUI on Friday - I stopped my vag progesterone and am waiting for AF. I am ready to go with my BCPs on day 3 and if everything goes well (if guy's chromosomal blood test is OK; if my mock embryo transfer is OK), we will go ahead with our first IVF (+ ICSI) cycle (via shared risk). adkw - Scanned your signature - my heart melted. Looks like you have been through a lot. I hope this works out for you!

Mar 19 - Mar/Apr 2009 - IUI #2 - Gonal F beta: April 13 - May 2009 - IVF + ICSI - April 15th: BCP - May 3rd: Lupron - May 9th: Cyst found but cycle continues. May 15th: Gonal F / Menopur.
