We just got our new protocol today.

I started BCP yesterday and will take them for 21 days. Then 4 days after that I will go in for bloodwork and ultrasound and they will start me on the Gonal-F and Menopur -- but then a few days into it they are adding Ganirelix. Then I guess it's the same ER to ET to PIO scenerio.

Has anyone else used this? I did no BCP and had Lupron last time. Not sure what the difference is...does anyone else have insight?

It sounds to me like you may be doing the antagonist protocol. That is what I am doing as well this cycle. I will be taking Bravelle and Menopur and then adding in Ganirelix. My RE thinks that the Lupron suppressed me a little to much. Hopefully this will work for both of us this time. It looks like we are very close on cycling too. My ER/ET will be at the end of May. Hello all was hoping I could join you guys here I am in the July thread as well but seems like most are gearing up for late July er/et and we are shooting for early July so hope to start in June. We have an appointment scheduled for Monday for the consult with our re and have already verified the urologist(for my husbands tese) will be in town the first part of July. I am a little concerned about the dates and maybe you guys with some experience would know. I just started my af Wednesday so called the RE office to find out what bloodwork I needed on cycle day 3 so I wouldnt miss out on the opportunity. That worked out great and I had blood drawn for the ob panel with hiv1 & hiv2, hepatitis c, and of course estradiol and fsh. Here's the dilemma I thought in my head this would work great because was thinking the re would put me on bcp for May then start stims in June for an early July retrieval. We have to have an early July retrieval because my dh has to have the tese procedure to get sperm from his testicles for icsi and will need to recover at home and rest before he goes back on call with work(he works for the water district at the wastewater plant but goes on call for water main breaks and all ). He is on call every two weeks the rest of the summer so the beginning of July and his 3 week break is our best opportunity. After reading your posts I am worried now that I cant go on the bcp until I start again and since my cycles are irregular (about every 40-45 days) that wouldnt be until late June. Any thoughts?

is here! I have officially begun. I will get my FSH Level drawn on Monday and start BCP that day as well. DH and I started our antibiotics today. My baseline u/s is on May 11 and I will find out that day when to start stims. I am so excited.

is here. I had my CD 2 FSH and estradiol levels yesterday, and I start BCP on Wednesday. When I spoke to the nurse on Friday, she told me that I'll start injections May 25-that's now less than a month away!!

I can't believe its finally getting so close to our turn!

You know I am really not sure why we have to take antibiotics. It is just something my new clinic does. I have talked to other women on here that go to the same clinic and everyone of them take them regardless of protocol. It is twice a day for 10 days and then they said I need to save 1 for the night of the ER. I did have to take antibiotics last cycle too but it wasn't this early last cycle. I would say that is is probibly so sort of precautionary measure to prevent any infections during the cycle.

I want to join you ladies; I'm starting the May/June cycle. My IVF cycle is low stim cycle, which is a lot different to long IVF cycle. I went for day 3 blood work and everything was great. Now I have to use ovulation test sticks. When shows on test, then I go in for ultrasound. After that I will be on low mini dose lupron along with Menopur and Bravelle. Strange isn't it? If anyone is looking for cheap meds let me know. My RE told me about this pharmacy in Israel and I got all my drugs for A LOT lower then US prices. Best of luch to everyone .

I am just curious, why the low stim cycle? My June cycle will be low dose as well b/c my ovaries responded too well in March -- had 63 eggs. I don't have the protocol yet but I am just curious about the reasons and whether or nor your experience was similar.

Thankfully, my insurance is covering the costs but I know that there are LOTS of women on here footing the bill for IVF so the pharmacy info will be very much appreciated.

Waiting for AF so that you can start your cycle is probably one of the most frustrating parts of the process...especially if she is late or unpredictable! I suggest you contact your clinic and talk to a nurse about this. There are drugs that can be used to bring her on so if timing is important, which it sounds like it is, perhaps they can use medication to intervene.

Last IVF I had 38 eggs, so I guess this new RE wants to try a less stim cycle. Works for me. I know I was feeling as bloated as a cruise ship with as many eggs as I had last time. I can only imagine how you felt with 63.
