Oh- and just need to say- THANK GOD FOR ACUPUNCTURE!

I felt terrible and sick to my stomach all afternoon and feel much better after my treatment. Still tight and bloated but not nearly what it was earlier.

Is anyone else having their acupunturist come to their transfer? Mine is going to come and do a treatment before and after the transfer.

2Lines - congrats on your beta! How exciting! I'm very very happy for you! Can't wait to see if you have a singleton or twins !

AFM - I'm finally starting to feel that "full feeling" and "twinge" everyone has been talking about. Today is the first day its really really noticable. I wonder how this will feel 4 days from now at ER! Well, whatever - it'll all be worth it in the end!

Baby dust to all......

omg 2lines!!!! that is a great 1st beta...yippee for our 1st of many on this thread!

I've gone from no symptoms....to total sickness! I have been off all day yesterday and then threw up during the night (my dh win's hubby of the year for helping me clean up vomit off the floor). Spoke to the nurse today and she wants me to let it run it's course incase it is food poisoning...so i am sipping gastrolite and nibbling toast for the moment.

Next scan is friday, and i'll also get my herbs then....i am hoping i feel much better by then.

hugs to all - this board is helping me soo much!

Zozo- that is great news about your sister, thank god!

Trying tobestrong- I hope you feel better soon.

Newbie- you will be waddling in a few days from the extra weight of all the follicles! Just think positive, the more uncomfortable you are, maybe that means more eggs.

2lines- that is an awesome beta! Wow, maybe it is twins

MrsJB- I have been afraid to try acupuncture, but it certainly sounds good. Good luck on your ER

Good luck to everyone having ER & ET this week

AFM, I’m only 2dp3dt so I have a long time to go yet. I came back to work this morning after taking off for ER & ET. I can’t wait to just go home

I have a question about the eggs; What does it mean when people say 2 cell/ 5 cell/8 cell?

Unhappy bummy

Ok so I think I am just having an off day. I woke up with that ever famous "it didn't work" feeling sitting in my chest. 1 week to go until my BETA. In my mind I am always and will always be of the mindset that whether is worked or not my "feelings" on any given day are not going to change the outcome any. I just think this is my body/mind's way of preparing just in case. But it still makes for a glum and dum day. DH is so understanding and when I told him he gave me a hug and said that I could go on feeling that way if I wanted...he would think extra positive for us today to even things out.

Good Luck and Sticky Vibes for all those that need it.

Dillys: Welcome, and good luck. Youll enjoy it here.

Winnie: awww Cheer Up, we wont know till next week. I know the feeling though, because I still havent felt a thing yet...

MrsJB: I know people get welts from stims, but I would not be surprised if you could get a rash as well. What did your RE say it was? GL today with your ER!!

Dillys: ! Did you end up with a 3dt or 5dt?

cantwait: I’m sorry that you had to be drained; I’ve never gotten that far in the OHSS game. Is your RE a member of the salt/Gatorade camp or the no salt camp? I’ve eaten so much salt over the last week to keep OHSS away; it’s no wonder I haven’t lost any bloat. I’m a little surprised that they did your transfer on the 10th only to drain 4L on the 11th. Not to be worrisome, but I was told that if you were pg that your OHSS would escalate by a level. Please take care of yourself; if you are pg you more than likely have not seen the worst of this.

zozo: That’s great news for your sister. Hopefully her recovery period goes wonderfully!!

athena: the cell count is the number of cells within the embryo. At a 3dt, typically 8 cells is the best, but there are always some overachievers. The cell count alone is not the only thing used to grade the embryo; the embryologist is also looking at the amount of symmetry and the percentage of fragmentation. There are multiple methods of grading; my clinic uses the 1-5 scale. Grade 1 would mean 8 cells and no frag or asymmetry. For my grade 3’s, they were 2x7 cell and 1x8 cell ranging from 0-10% fragmentation and 0-slight asymmetry. Some clinics only use a 1-3 scale and some use ABC. What did they say yours were? Looking at the success pages, you will see some 4 cells that made it to a successful pregnancy. The scales are really subjective…it seems like in so many cases people are just told their embies are “perfect.” Can they really all be “perfect?” Blasts have their own rating system.

Winnie: this is my 3rd time with a fresh cycle, so I have that feeling a lot. Mostly I call that feeling DH because he feels it enough for the both of us and it makes it hard for me to stay positive. I’m glad that your DH is being positive! I’m just praying I got the right side of the coin toss this time!!

inwaiting: wouldn’t it be wonderful to become Sleeping Beauty for two weeks and wake up to a positive beta!! I didn’t sleep well last night, so that sounds outstanding right now!! Rest up.

PG: I’m glad that your meeting went well last night. I take it you got your shots on time.

Thanks for the good wishes! We leave in about an hour or so - so I should be getting myself ready. Instead I am on the computer!

So today I start my antibiotics, that anti-inflamatory stuff- and I got some good pain meds.

For those who did the ER already did you need the pain meds?

Athena- I was afraid of acupunture at first too- now I love it! It is beyond relaxing and I feel wonderful from the treatments. I am also a normally REALLY high strung person- and since starting it I have been soooo much calmer. So either hubby is secretly drugging me or it is working! LOL!

Cantwait- How are you feeling today? Is this going to effect your ET?

zozo- Great news on your sis!

Winniepoo- Blame it on the hormones! Do something nice for yourself today!

PG-Florida- I don't know how you keep up with all of us! Thanks!!

All that being said- so glad I found this website. It is just so nice to have people who really know what you are going through. I have a few friends who know. When I do complain about the joys of this process one keeps telling me oh just wait until you are pregnant- it will be worse. Really? How would she know! So anyhow- just nice to be somewhere where people really understand.

I will try to get on and update this afternoon. How long does it take to know exactly how many eggs and if they are mature?
