Any idea why they wouldn't want me to walk 3 days post ER?

Walking (as mild of exercise as it is) is really the only thing that makes me feel like me right now. I feel like I have sacraficed myself so much during this process (and all for good reason, I know), but for someone who normally works out 2-3 hours per day, it kills me to see my husband gear up for a 14 mile training run today (he's running the Chicago Marathon) and get to keep training. It's just not fair. I seriously just want to cry...we're so close to being PUPO that I'm not about to quit anytime soon...but seriously, why can't I just walk!??! Do you really think there'd be any harm in me going for a long slow walk? I think my embies will do better in a non-stressed body versus in one with an unstable mind.

Maria: My understanding is because of the risk of OSHH, which doesn't end after ER. The risk continues for a few weeks. It isn't so much about the embies after the first 24 hours after transfer. (after all if it were that easy to lose an embie, the human race would have been doomed.) The dangers of OSHH are real and serious. It isn't just about your ovaries getting big and painful, but it puts you at risk for Ovarian Torsion, which is incredibly painful, usually causes the loss of the affected ovary, requires surgery to correct and can result in death. given that your a person whose used to strenuous activity, it seems like stopping it completely isn't necessary. Toning it down is probably enough.

Did your dr mention draining the fluid off your abdomen? That helped me instantly feel better. If not you will feel bad until your cyle starts from what I have been told. We went ahead with the et because after genetic testing we only had 1 normal embryo and didn't want to risk losing it during freezing and thawing. I hope you feel better soon!

Embryo Grading

PG_Florida,

Doc Manko explained to me that 4AA, the quality of my eggs, was clasified by 3 different separate qualities

the fist number meaning, the blastocyst stage, how far they have "developed". 4 is when is getting ready to come out of its shell. 5 is already out of its shell which we want to happen when they are inside our uterus. I still have some other embryos which will get there tomorrow, but not quite there yet for freezing. They preffer to freeze them once they get to the 4 grade.

The first & second letter go from A-D, A being good and D been not so good.

The first A or B, depending on what you get determines the density of the cells in the inner cell (wich will become the fetus), how many and how tight close together they are. A more density B, less density.

The second one defines the quality of the outer layer of the "cavity" or outer shell, If gade A it means that cells very tight together, if lower grades happens it means its a little less cells and spread out. This section will become the future palcenta.

Ok ladies I think I already said this but I am EXTREMEMLY TIRED. Is this normal? I don't know if everything is just catching up or what. Went to bed a little after 10 slept through the night had to get up at 640 to help my mom get on the road for a visit/funeral. We went to the grocery store, came home put away and I warmed up lunch and went to the couch. I was on the couch in and out of sleep for a couple hours! That is not like me! I felt like I could not keep my eyes open. Now I finally made myself get upa nd am going to work out. DH and I are having date night so I need to find some energy. Dinner and maybe a little shopping (bedroom all painted and new bedding now need curtains!) and then maybe home for some movies and vegging!
Anyway did anyone have extremem tiredness? Only 2 days of stimms down- starting to feel a slightly full feeling down there. I know when doing IUIs they thoguth I really had potential and responded well so hopefully they are doing their thing.

I've had some bruising. But I've been worried b/c the PIO injections don't hurt.

They don't hurt one bit when I am getting them- just are sore later and one side hurts and is bruises way more than the other. I keep switching sides every night.

I mean, I'm not having any soreness or anything. I have alot of fat on my behind and I worry that we aren't getting to the muscle and I'm not absorbing the PIO. My RE says not to worry. But I can't help it.

If you're getting sore, I think you're fine.

Hi All,

Congrats to the !!!!!

My thoughts are with those whose cycles didn't make it this time, or got a . Keep moving forward.

I now only have 5 more days until 1st beta. I confess I have cheated and HPT'd...... A LOT!. A WHOLE lot!! I have them lined up in my bathroom so I can assess the varying shades. They have been getting darker for the last 3 days. While I am excited about this result, I am also trying not to run away with it, I don't want to build myself up for a fall.

Does anyone have any experince with getting a positive HPT, and then a negative beta?

Thanks in advance!
Sara

08-25-2009 - 1st beta 462 (1st anniversary of reptured tube 1st baby )

08-27-09 - 2nd beta 1070

09-03-09 - u/s!!!!!!

We are doing natural cycle IVF which involves minimal drugs and retrieval of the one egg your body naturally produces each month, and is MUCH cheaper than traditional IVF.

I am taking 2 estrace and 2 progestrogen suppositories(sp?) each day and 1 baby asprin.

Diagnosed with anti-m antibody - monitoring baby will be close throughout whole pregnancy. U/S's weekly from 18 weeks.

11-18-2009 - we're having a boy!!!

EDD May 1/2 2010!

I think given that you've been having positive beta and its getting darker that you are probably fine. so Congratualtions to you!!!

Katie I was negative today too- but according to what happens with implantation HCG should not start into our systems until tomorrow. Even then it will likely be too low to register.

Thanks, that gives me some consolation. One of the hardest parts is that I cannot escape what I am going through.

This is what other people have posted on this site- add two days for a 3dt.

I am 5dpt today.

0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT
