Hi all,

Okay, I'm nervous, but not terrified of the "big needles" anymore. There's LOTS of people on Youtube that are doing the Progesterone in Oil, and lots of them even do them to themselves. They don't cry or anything, so I think after the first one, it'll hurt, but not like I'm expecting.

I really do think it is what kept my E2 in control last cycle.

I like that the clinics seem to partner with another organization. WRAMC is aligned with Shady Grove Fertility Center...each of the docs must do a rotation there. I thought about switching to that clinic since they offer a shared risk program and in the long run, I think it would have cost the same.

I've heard of quite a few folks taking baby aspirin. WRAMC doesn't seem to have people do that, which is fine by me because aspirin and I don't get along (it gives me nose bleeds and causes my pain to get worse rather than better). It's interesting that you are on the patch (estrogen) afterwards as well...WRAMC doesn't have us take estrogen after the transfer.

As for the feet warming, it is supposed to increase the blood flow to the uterus, which in turn helps to thicken the uterine lining. As a matter of fact, I'm warming my feet right now. I'm certain that is why my lining made it to double digits last cycle. One of the ladies that I met in the forum last cycle said that her acupuncturist recommended it...she's now pregnant with twins. I've heard that Red Raspberry Leaf Tea can do the same thing...I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to touch base with the doc on that one come Wednesday. I'm ready to try whatever it takes this cycle!!!

I think I am going to have my acupuncturist come to the hospital after the transfer for a treatment. The coordinator said they can. I know that is supposed to help with the blood flow too!

i have a calendar!

hello ladies!

Thank you to all of your prayers for my sister. We are pursuing surgery soon and hopefully it will not be worst than what we thought. Thank you again guys for those kind words and support..
NLP and Jacqueline.
SuzS - I'll pray that your follies if not double, be tripled or quadrupled!!! but remember it only takes one...
3rdtimesthecharm - I started RJ last May since I read good things about it regarding making endometriosis better. I have not told my RE about it,i'll ask him next time.

AFM, we did see our RE today and did FUS, he said though he saw shaggy lining on the top part of my uterus there are smooth lining at the back and bottom where he could implant the embryo. Has anyone had a shaggy lining or have heard about that had a successful implantation? RE found 8 follies on left and 11 on right ovary. My sked:
7/9/09 start BCP
8/1/09 - BCP, Lupron, Dexamethasone (8/4/09 last day BCP)
8/10/09 - initial u/s and b/w
8/11/09 - start stims(Bravelle,Menopur,viagra,heparin,aspirin,vit, folic acid)
8/22-24/09 - possible ER
8/25/09 - ET

to all!!!!

Newbie, I don't think letting the drug warm up to room temperature for a few minutes before injection will hurt anything. You can check with your nurse to be sure.

That's great! we tried doing the injection really slow and then i rubbed it in for about 5 min afterwards and now it's fine after that....so i don't dread them anymore. Trial by error i supposed!!

But, i think the hormones are all starting to kick in....i'm an emotional mess. dh is not happy about this at all and i'm asking him to cut me a little slack because i'm trying SO hard to 'think before i speak' and to not cry over every little thing (i'm SO not a crier!!!) YIKES!!!! Sorry, just needeed to vent for a quick second....i'm done now

Has it happened more than once? I'm not doing menopur but the one evening when I did my Lupron, it acted goofy and left a bruise. I think it was just a bad spot or something. I haven't had a problem since then. I'm sorry I can't help. I don't know anything about menopur injections but I'm sure you're not screwing anything up. *hugs*

I started the Lupron 4 days ago. It isn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be- though I had a bit of a hot flash yesterday when I was grocery shopping.

This morning I felt sick to my stomach but I am thinking that might be because I took my antibiotic on an empty stomach. Luckily it is the weekend so I was able to go back to bed!

Hi MI11,
My list of medications was nearly 2 pages long. I'm on the OCPs, antibiotics, steroids, oral, vaginal and injectable progesterone, Lupron, Follistim, and Menopur....I think I'm forgetting one more. Now if I can only keep up with the schedule! We had to delay our start date, as the embryologist will be out of town when we need him....

Nlp & Jacqueline--
SuzS--Hang in there. My friend only got 3 eggs, only 2 fertilized, only one embryo made it to ET, and she has a beautiful son because of it!

I have to wait until Aug 24 or 25 (I'm praying for PATIENCE!) to start the whole cycle, so may end up joining the September group, but I am getting very VERY excited for all of you!!!!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement! I think it was almost like telling me I wouldn't have children- again. I'm sure it seemed a lot worse than it would have normally because of the Lupron. I seem to be freaking out about a lot of things lately. The dog being in my way is the biggest one- which seems silly when I'm not there in that moment getting frustrated with him. Silly! I'm so glad I have people to talk to who know

PG_Florida- that list is a lot to keep up with! TY! And yes I am am so ready for stims. It's always good to get to the next step. I am excited to feel like a voodoo doll!

Justwantababy- My RE nurse told me that the Repronex (which I believe is equivalent to Menopur) was going to be more painful. I am worried about getting all the liquid out of that vial and getting rid of all the air. It's easy to worry about doing everything right. I'm sure it will be fine though. They wouldn't let us do so much on our own if we could mess it up so easily-I think

Ok...omg..i am finally ready to join in...hope i can play with you guys.

I see my RE tomorrow...i am CD 20 today...and have a 28 day cycle. I am not doing BCP's...so will be starting stim's on about Tuesday 4th August.

this is our first IVF...but as I responded really well to stim's on IUI...they are expecting egg removal on about cd 15...but we all know how things can change with IVF lol

I have an auto immune disease...so as soon as I have had ER...i will be starting Heparin 2 times daily by injection.

They will play it by ear...but we are hoping for a day 4 or 5 transfer....as long as the lil embies are doing well.

I am sooooo excited. This has been stop/start for us...but I am really happy it is now all systems go!

Can't wait to get to know you all!
