I'm hoping that someone can give me some positive stories right now...because I'm having a really bad day.

During both my fresh and frozen cycles previously I was on PIO (sesame) and I ended up with a pimply rash on my chest, back and neck. It's really rather ugly looking. So this time the docs have me taking Endometrin instead. Well, yesterday I had a few pimples on my chest and I started to get nervous but figured it could just be a coincidence. This morning I woke up with about 50 of them all over my chest. I called the nurse and she has me taking Benadryl in hopes that it will combat the reaction I'm having. I'm ready to throw myself a pity party since this is now going like my previous cycles that were all BFNs. Please tell me there is someone out there that has had this happen and still had a BFP. I was so positive that we hit the mark by switching types of progesterone since the rash started a little later this time.

Anyone? Maybe even just someone that got the rash from this stuff? It's now spreading to my neck!!

I broke out in hives from the PIO shots and had a really bad allergic reaction. My entire body was covered with bumps. They switched me to suppositories the following cycle. I don't know about you but the shot hurt and it left my bum bumpy. Good Luck!

YES!!! I am taking Endometrin twice per day. It was and still is terrible, mostly on my chest and some on my face. However, when I called my nurse, she said it was not a side effect from the Endometrin that they had ever had experience with. I did get a BFP, so maybe it is a side effect from the spike in all those pregnancy hormones.

3rdtime - my husband has tiny red bumps on both arms...they don't itch but they look like a rash. It started a couple days after taking the antibiotics, got worse and now is going away (has been off the antibiotics for a week now). Thought it was weird, but did the RE put you on Antibiotics?

gillac: I am so happy to hear that someone else is going through this...not that I want you to suffer, but at least then I know I am not alone. I feel somewhat like an anomalie when no one seems to know how to fix it. I am taking the Endometrin three times a day right now and should lower that to two times a day if I ever get pregnant. How long have you had the rash? Is there anything they were able to tell you to help mitigate it at all? Congrats on your BFP...that really makes me feel better that this has no link to my previous BFNs!!!

I took the four days of doxycycline after after the ER; normally that just makes me throw up...and I've been off it since Thursday morning. It doesn't look like the rash that I get from sulfa drugs...it really looks like a bunch of little pin prick size pimples that are red with a white hat. It's ugly!! At least it doesn't itch all that often.

Hey 3rdtime~ I broke out with dozens & dozens of tiny little pimples too. I'm on Endometrin & I've had 2 "outbreaks." The 1st one started a day or two after starting Endometrin, it was mostly all over both sides of my jaw-line/neck, a little on my cheeks (close to nose, along crease to outer edge of lips), and my forehead. It only lasted a few of days, I thought maybe it was because of the heat even though that has never happened to me before (it was during that heat wave that N.E. got). I also had a little bit of stress at that time. Anyways, it just came back this past Fri & this time it is mostly on my chest, more sporadic on forehead & rest of face. It is aweful & I'm hoping it goes away (& stays away) soon!!!

I'm feeling better by the minute...you make the third positive story I've heard with this rash. I'm thinking that I need to close out my reservation for "pity party table of one" pretty soon here. One more week until beta!!

I've had this rash on my neck, chest and shoulders since July 2009. Tiny pimples with white heads that don't itch. Just terribly hideous. I didn't know what it was from at first, so I tried switching soaps, lotions, detergents, etc. Then I thought it may be my birth control. I went off of it for a month and the rash went away. I had to take the Plan B pill that month though, and I broke out twice as bad. I figured it had to be the progesterone component since the emergency contraceptive pill is just a high dose progesterone. I've tried switching from Yasmin to Apri to Ortho Tri Cyclen to Kariva. None of them help. During the luteal phase of my cycle, the rash becomes worse from the rise in progesterone levels. I really cannot go off of birth control. I don't know what to do though. Benadryl does not work either. Did you ever find a solution to your problem? My gyno isn't helping much. I might go see a dermatologist next.
