Smile Hello Everyone!!!!

Jillhopesfor09, purpledta and Genevieve! I am / We are so glad to have you along! I am starting the calendar – below! Please send me updates as you know them or update it yourself if you would like too! Right now all dates are approximate – but we can update them when we get more exact dates or ranges!

I have been out of it for few days – very busy – so I am a bit behind in my keeping up with this thread! It is so nice to see so many new faces and see that everyone is supporting each other already! It seems we have some newbies and some more experienced ladies on here – so we should have a great mix of topics and advice!

Cathie - any updates on your conditions? I am so sorry you are having all these issues! You seem very strong and will get through this! I had baratric surgery about 8 years ago and had my gallbladder removed at that time! It was the hardest part of it - looking back now. I did not realize (and I have heard others say) that gallbladder problems / removal can really mess with your digestion. I did not realize that was the problem then - because of all the things that surgery involves - but hindsight is 20/20 right. I hope all turns out well for you! I am for you that all goes well!

Hopefully I am going camping this weekend if my DH can fix the camper – we have a water leak! I already told our DD - 2 year old - that we were going - so she will be very dissapointed if daddy cannot fix the camper....And so I may not be writing much until Monday!! Everyone have a great weekend!! to everyone!

- Kirsten

Smile Back to work tomorrow.......

Hi Everyone! Back from camping! We went to Pontiac Start Recreation Area - a state park by our house. Only about 5 miles away! It was the first camping of the year, the camper had a water leak (that we fixed but were unsure it would stay!) and the first time with our daughter this year! So we wanted to be close to home in case....It was fun! I woke up sick this morning - sore throat - and I got really sick of the playground after 2.5 days of going to it - but it was still fun. The best part of the trip was this morning...my parents came to visit us - and I got a much needed break from being a mommy - and just got to relax a bit.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Just dropping in to say hi!

Jill - Glad to see you here! (well, would rather you got a BFP and wouldn't need to be here, but since you are I am happy to see you!)

Hope all is well with you ladies! I am hanging in there. Just dealing with the side affects from Lupron. Not too bad I guess. About the same as Clomid except I am not having the horrible mood swings. Let's hope that doesn't change! I do need to get on the ball and get my blood work finished and my hysterosalpingogram done, but planning on doing that in July. Whee!

I am a huge camper myself! Which is the only thing that will get me through the next 3 months! We just ordered a new trailer & I am super excited! It is nice to have something else to focus on!

I hope everyone is well! I wanted to bump this up again! Well, AF finally showed up yesterday . I can't believe I'm actually excited about that, but it kind of represents a new beginning in this crazy journey we're taking. I'm letting this cycle go by, and then hopefully starting BCPs next month, giving the herbs and acupuncture a little more time to do their thing . I'm so ready!!

Hello Ladies,

I would like to join you ladies.
Just had first canceled IVF cycle due to very rare problem… during ER my follicles were all empty inside – even that I had 16 follicles 18-21mm, and very good blood results when my RE scheduled for ER.
I found out that this is called Empty Follicles Syndrome but no one knows for sure why this can happen when follicles look mature and healthy outside, my RE said that this was the first case that he saw… So I have to keep researching in hope that I will find more information –especially how to prevent this to happen other times.
I will be in two month break, try to relax, go on vacation and for September I already decided to change the clinic. I will go to a very big and successful clinic in Istanbul / Turkey (I’m from Europe)
So, ladies we still have two more month before our journey began (at least my journey) and until then all I can do is to stay relaxed and prepare myself for September try...
I wish all of you good luck and hope to see a lot of in this thread

TTC for 3 years
Me 35 - PCOS, done laparoscopy on Nov removed polyp and cysts
Hubby 36 –excellent
IVF –first try canceled on 10th June due to empty follicles during ER
IVF –second try in September …….. please God let it work

Smile Good Morning Everyone!

Hi Ladies! It has been a bit slow on here - I was out all weekend being sick. I had bronchitits! Yah - that was not fun. I am feeling a bit better today after a few days of meds.

Today is day 3 of my cycle - so I went back to the doc to have b/w and u/s. I am not sure if they want me to be on the letrozole for another month or not. I hope they do. The times have hit my DH's business pretty hard lately and we are very worried - and practically convinced - that we cannot afford to do another round of IVF. I am still moving forward at this time with all the things I need to in case things change or we find a way to work it out. All I do right now is covered under insurance - so that is good. The IVF part is not though - and that is about an $8K price tag that we are just not sure we can do. It is very frustrating having spent so much on the first cycle just to have it cancelled really. That changed our whole outlook.

So I have been trying to work this out and still making sure I do not put our family at too much risk right now with the economy. It is very hard - we both thought we would have two kids - and when the first happened so easily - I never dreamed I would be having these issues. I am more than blessed to have what I have right now and I am grateful - its just hard to get over your dreams sometimes!

So there is really nothing new on my timing or life. Just trying to work through the issues and win the darn lotto! That is not working very well though....

Everyone have a great day!!

- Kirsten

Hello women !!! Jus t want to give you an update on my u/s ! Well there is good news and bad news !! The bad news is they stoped counting the fibrods after the 12th one but they are on the out side of the uterus and most are small OBGYN and RE said the inside is perfect now the bad news ! they said they just want to perpare me that when I do get PG I will more in likly be put on bed rest at 20 weeks and deliver by 35 with singleton and 32 with twins do to the fibrods they want to pervent my uterus from rupture my OBGYN was so casuale and acted like he dose this all the time well I guess he dose ! He did not want to remove the fibrods do to he did not want any added stress on the uterus he said he will remove them when I have a c-section and pray my uterus stay intatcked so I can have more than 1 PG ! So now I know what I am in for but RE and OBGYN want me inshape before so bed rest will not hurt me to much ! Talk to you all soon !

Smile Good Morning Ladies!

Cathie - well that is good news - but I do not think it so bad. It sounds like they have a good plan to take care of you and baby - that is comforting! I have had a myomectomy - and know that I cannot go into labor for fear of uterine rupture. (I had to have a scheduled Csection.) They made sure they watched me as it got closer to due date. I never had to do bed rest (that would drive me insane) - but I knew the risks and the possibilities. That made it easier for me to deal with - since I knew them from before the time I got PG. It sounds like you are in good hands!

My DH and I are kinda bummed. We do not think we can do another cycle (finances issue - we LOVE living in MI right now!!! ) and I just got some results that were not so good. I have been on BCP and Letrozole for one month - so on CD3 I had my b/w and u/s. My FSH was 29.5!!!! I have an appt with the doc early next month - but I know what is going to be said. There was some concern that because my endo, my age, and my response - that something was hiding. This was it! All my other FSH tests were VERY normal and my doc could not figure out totally why I was not doing as well as she expected. Its most likely the endo masking the real problem - low ovarian reserve. I think she is going to tell me even IVF is a long shot with my eggs. Maybe I am wrong - but from my research - that is what I have found / think! I cannot afford a donor egg or embryo adoption at this time.

So I have a new plan in the works. I am not sure it will work out at all. My sis cannot carry a baby - uterine problem. She has great eggs and response though (at least last time she was in treatment). I have poor eggs it seems - but can carry a baby or two (max due to problem mentioned above!). So she is going to her doc to see if they will work with us on this "plan". We use her eggs (do an IVF cycle) - split between me and my DH and her and her DH - and then freeze them. Then we can do FET to me (or fresh transfer depending on what we come up with) - one baby for me and then the next for her - or other way around. So I will have to be PG two more times (or three if she wants more kids) if this works out - but if we can get a doc to work with us - we could both save some money. We live two hours apart - so that is a bit of an issue - but that is what they make cars for right? ;-) We both have different insurance - her covers some mine doesn't and visa versa - so this way we can split the costs and help each other out when needed. I do not know if this will work - since its been about a year since she was in treatment - but she is going to go back to the doc to see the next steps. She is a teacher - so she wants to do this this summer to save her having to miss work during the school year. So..... we will see what happens.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

to everyone!

Doing FET in September

Hi ladies~

I had a myomectomy on 6/5 to remove fibroids after having a failed 1st IVF and FET this year. I have to recover for 3 months and was told I should be able to start another FET in Sept. Hopefully, things go well with my recovery and I can get started. I am hoping there is no problem wiith cysts or scar tissue because I am anxious to start. I had 10 fibroids removed--9 inside the uterus and 1 outside. I've had 2 myomectomys in the past, but they were both outpatient procedures. The 1st one I had I had before I was TTC so I probably should not have had that one...it's been about 3 years since that one.

When I cycled earlier this year I was not a member of this forum and it was tough going it alone. I seem to respond well to stims and according to my RE I have great embryos. I seem to have textbook cycles and then nothing! I am getting frustrated beyond belief. My RE seems to think we did the right thing in having this most recent myomectomy. I sure hope I get my BFP this time!

It sounds like you got a plan that would be so nice of you and your sis to work together ! What I would do for a sis like you ! If for some reason the RE gives you problems if you don't mind travle my RE will and will work with your local OBGYN for monitoring so you would only have to see him about 5 times ! and my RE is only $5500.00 plus meds for fresh and $1300.00 for FET Not to bad ! I live in NEW MEXICO and I travle to ARIZONA for my RE! Let me know if you want to check it out !

Hi, ladies!!!

I was on hold for a lil while, but it looks like we are back on for starting BCPs with my September cycle and retrieval/transfer in late October. Before I fully introduce myself, do I qualify to be here or should I wait for the October group?

Wishing everyone s!!!
