Hi everyone! It is so great to know you were thinking of me! I got 13 eggs. Yes, 13. My first IVF in May I had 3. The ER was shocked, and happy! He says he might want to do PGD (preimplantation diagosis) on any embryos we get. I'm all for that. It's mostly an age thing.

Mrembo - I'm so happy to hear you got 12! Amazing. We are quite the forum group. on our fert reports.
Kellay - A few days in to your 2ww. We're with you!

Mak and KMP - enjoy your trips this weekend. If anyone deserves it, you guys do!

KMP - for your four beautiful embryos!

Importatly, is tuna really off-limits? I'm craving a big tuna sandwich! And chocolate, is it really so terrible while your waiting for ET? Is tuna?

Mom 43 - congrats on 13 eggs!

KMP - I know you are disappointed, but 4 cell embies sound good at this stage. Wait until tomorrow, you will have a better idea of how they are developing.

Kelley - welcome to the group!

This dreaded wait is making me crazy! I have a ton of work to do but am having trouble concentrating. I can't wait until Thursday....

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, work has been crazy. Nobody at my office knows except my boss (who has been incredibly supportive). It's getting harder to explain the bruises on my arms from the needles. I look like a crack addict!

I got the call this morning that my ET will be on Thursday. She didn't have an updated egg report (last I heard Sunday was that 6 were fertilized). She said it must be good if the lab thinks they are "hardy" enough to last for a 5dt. I guess I have to have faith they know what they are doing.

KMP, 4 embies sounds awesome to me!! Good luck at the ET. Maybe we'll have them the same day.

mrem, great job!!!!!!!!

We are closer each and every day ladies!

Holly

kmp- good luck if your ET is tommorow! My nurse said tomorrow is out so I will Thurs or Sat. Perhaps we'll be Thursday buddies....

26 eggs is beyond insane and OHSS wicked scares me!! I am so paranoid right now...all I do is eat protein bars and drink gator aid!

So 15 out of my 26 fertilized..... does that mean somethingis wrong w/ my eggs that the other 11 did not? Anyone else have something similar happen?

wannabe - Good luck! Can't wait to hear back from you how it went.

kts - 15/26 is actually a really good fert rate. The average is about 1/2 the eggs fertilizing. There is a lot of "quality over quantity" debates that occur, though...I've seen some people get 25-35 eggs, but only have 7-10 fertilize. So you are doing just fine.

mom43 - 13 is amazing ! I love your story about shocking your RE. Not sure about the tuna...but rest up! I'll for a good fert report for you.

mak27 - have a great time this weekend!

AFM - my ET is today at 11:20am EST. Looks like I will be a day behind you again Holly. I am nervous...I know I shouldn't be because I've done this before, but the 3dt just makes me nervous because it didn't work last time and I had 2 perfect embies transferred. Thank goodness I've got acupuncture before and after. I woke up so early this morning that hopefully I'll be able to take a nap afterwards. I know DH isn't going to let me lift a finger today. So all I've got going on post-ET is eating/drinking, sleeping, working a bit, and hanging out with you guys. Can't wait to hear everyone's news!

Quick update

I'm at the clinic. They delayed my ET until 12:20, which means I have to empty my bladder and refill it! Oh, the joys of infertility. The rescheduling is so my RE can do the ET (not the 'on' RE). So there is a good reason. Anyways, hope everyone is doing well!

KMP - Hope you get this before your ET. You are going to do great. Forget about last time. This time is this time and you are going to do just perfectly! I will be thinking of you at 9:20 L.A. time. Let's put all good thoughts out there.

Holly - for your ET tomorrow. You're right. If your embies make it to 5dt that is awesome and a sign that they are going to make it!

Honey - the waiting sucks, but the good news is waiting's just gonna keep on happening until your . When you think of a good way to deal with it, will you let me know?!@

So I just got the call and all 12 eggs retrieved were mature but only 6 fertilized. We get a call tomorrow informing us if we are doing a 3 or 5 day transfer.

I'm feeling some kind of way and that these are the lucky 6. I know I should be grateful that we have 6 but I can't help but wonder why the other eggs didn't fertilize. We did assisted hatching and ICSI. I this works out for us because our finances are tight and our insurance only covers 1 try. I'm already freaking out yet we haven't even done the ET. The next few days will be tough.

We got 10 !!!

Hey all - am home and pretty tired - but wanted to post to say they retrieved 10 eggs today. I was pretty out of it when they told me but cried tears of joy. 10 was the number I was hoping for.

Won't know much more until tomorrow when I get my fertility report.

Mrembo - 6 fertilizing is great. Remember it just takes ONE !!

KMP - Best of luck on your ET today

Mom43 - on your 13 eggs !!

Will check in on everyone a little later !!
