Wannabe- congrats of you ET, I have a good feeling about today I think its good luck being on July 4th and all!

AFM- my transfer was a breeze. They dont really have a grading system at my clinic but all 7 people in the room seemed very excited about it and kept saying it was as good as it gets, so I am optimistic.....for now....

Oh and wannabe, I know what u mean about peeing out the embryo! I was so scared to pee but I had to so bad! The just drop it in the middle of ur uterus, its not like its attatched to anything!

p.s. did everyone get a little picture of the embryo? I showed it my in laws and called it their "hopefully soon to be grandchild"

kmp - omg...that is a crazy night. I am glad you are doing better.

Patilla - I am so sorry. I will definitely that the two that fertilized stay strong and continue to grow.

AFM - hoping to do the trigger shot tonight. Waiting for the nurse to call me with my E2 levels. My E2 was 1788 yesterday. The nurse called my right ovary beautiful this morning...haha. Thought that was kind of funny. My left is still not functioning as it should. Oh well. Anyways, hope the 2ww isn't too torturous for everyone. I will be there in about 5 days.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Quick question: for those who have had their ET, were you NOT given Valium? Some of the ladies here seem to have mentioned having Valium. My RE hasn't mentioned it at all so it seems I will be doing it without any pain pills...OUCH!

mrembo-are you on the east coast? my ET is at 8:45, EST. I am not having Valium, but I am going to be sedated. Did you have a mock transfer? I was supposed to (except it didn't work either time!!) and they indicated that there should be no need for any pills or anything. And even after they "tried" to do the mock for an HOUR, I was never in "pain", just some discomfort.

Hi ladies- congrats on everyone's great news & successful ET's!

We had our ET at 11am today, and all went well. We had 2 blastocysts that were ahead of the pack, so we transferred them. I had valium, but my doc didn;t fill my bladder. Can someone tell me why some docs fill the bladder? Anyhow.... I have a bladder the size of a peanut, so it's probably best.

for tomorrow's ET's. Please keep us posted.

, Lola

Thanks all for your good wishes !

Mrembro - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW !!!!!! You will do GREAT !!!
They gave us the prescription for Valium on the day of our ER. Its not for pain - just to relax the muscles of your uterus for an easier transfer. Not sure if all RE's do it.

Lola - my RE has the bladder full so the US tech can get a better pic of your uterus to make sure the cath is going where its supposed to. CONGRATS on transferring your beautiful blasts !!!

Interesting that you will be sedated. I'm in the Midwest. I did have a mock transfer and didn't need any pain pills for it so I guess I should be ok.

Lola3301: on your 2 embabies. Glad your ET went well.

Wannabe: ok so the Valium is to relax your uterus...duh, I thought it was for pain. Thanks for the clarification

KTS - on your transfer. "As good as it gets" sounds good to me!!!

Cologirl - Good luck with your trigger. You're almost there.

Patilla - My DH thinks we're hysterical too. Guys just don't do this sharing and caring stuff. So psyched for you tomorrow!

Mrembo - Good luck for your ET tomorrow. I think the valium to relax your uterus, not for pain.

Lola - Congrats on your 2 blasts. Sounds like you had the pick of the litter. Sounds weird when put that way.

mrembo-my RE does not normally sedate for the ET. Apparently I have a extremely closed up cervix (good for keeping babies in!! but not so good for getting them in there via IVF). The only reason I will be sedated is because the process of getting the catheter in is so difficult...and if the doctor thinks it's difficult...I am sure I would be freaking out by the end...

I had to take Valium to relax my uterus too but I didn't really feel a bunch of effects, just a little sleepy. The transfer isn't painful at all just like having a pap.

Lola- Congrats on the transfer!! I am sending good vibes ur way. I dunno why some RE choose not to fill baldders but I am super jealous that u didn't have to! My clinic does it because when ur bladder is full it tips the uterus into optimal position but maybe ur uterus was already there

mrembo & patilla- good luck tomorrow!!!

has anyone had their e2 levels plateau? This didn't happen to me last time, but this time it stopped at around 1700. The nurse said that when it plateau's it means they are ready to go. So the good news is that I trigger tonight, but I am still worried. From the ultrasound today, I have about 8-9 follicles on my right and 2-4 on my left. I'm hoping they can retrieve them all.

Congrats on triggering. How did it go?
