You guys are absolutely the best...thank you so much for thinking of me!! I really feel so blessed to have you supporting me through this.

So all day long I kept thinking about my test and trying to stay away from the beer, but not knowing how else to ease my nerves. Finally, our last guests left at around 8. I immediately ran upstairs and yelled to DH "it's gametime." Except I didn't have to pee. So we waited another 1/2 hour until I had to pee. Right before I sat on the toilet with a Solo cup under me, I had the worst menstrual cramp. I thought to myself, "This has to be a bad sign." So I peed in the cup, DH took the stick out, I dipped it in, he took the time, and then we laid down on the bed for the next 4 longest minutes of my life and talked about what we're going to do if it's negative. Then when the time was up, I told him to look at the test. He was like "No way, you're coming with me." So we held hands and walked to the bathroom, and I immediately burst into tears so bad I started sobbing and could barely breathe. We got our first positive test ever. I am still in complete shock. DH didn't want me to tell you, for fear of jinxing it (he is really superstitious too). But I have to tell you...how could I not? My heart is still beating a mile a minute.

Of course, nothing is set in stone until my beta tomorrow, so I'm still cautiously happy. But holy sh*t I can't believe this is happening to me!

I will write more tomorrow, since DH is coming over here. Congrats to all the BFPs, and hang in there to all the girls who have betas this week (thx for posting the calendar again).

Hi ColoGirl - I'm new to this forum. I see you were on 450 of the Gonal-F? The most they let you have here in NZ is 300. As I don't produce many follicles with even the 300 sounds like I need the 450. Wonder why they don't give doses that high here? They also never put in more than 2 eggs - and that's only if you're over 36. Amazing how different it is around the world!

Hi Kakey,
Yeah my RE had me on the highest dose since I have elevated FSH. I responded slow but I did respond which is good. I know the US doesn't regulate how much meds are given or how many embryos are put in. Perfect example is that lady in California who had 8 babies...crazy. Anyways, it's nice to meet you and I wish you the best of luck this week

KMP and Mak - can't wait to see your results from today. Everything I can cross is crossed for both of you!!

KMP - Is sureal when you see that positive. I have now pass up to 6 days of positive tests and I still am afraid to believe it!! When is just seemed so far off as a possibility and there it's right in front of you it's so hard to readjust.

AFM - rang the out of hours clinic and spoke to my favourite nurse, she was delighted to hear the good news. I will have to get prgesterone from my own Doctor as they don't take the treatment any further. No blood tests with them at all, not sure if my own doctor will comply as normally they only do a urine test and then send you on your merry way.

I will get a scan at 6 weeks with the fertility clinic, but up until then, I'm pretty much on my own. It seems a bit crazy really!!! That's the UK for you!!

Good morning!
kakey and mmr! I hope you find some great support with these awesome ladies. They have been helping me through my good and bad days alike. They are soulful, honest, funny, nonjudgmental, and incredibly supportive.

Patilla - I think you posted this question way back, but yes, the PIO shots (or progesterone suppositories if you take those) will keep AF away until you stop them.

Val - It's completely surreal! I'm still not really getting it and I keep thinking to wait for the 1st and 2nd betas so I know it's not just a dream or my imagination. I managed to work from home today...don't know how I'll get any work done though. That is crazy that they just have you take a urine test and no blood test! Can they measure HCG levels from your urine? I can't believe you have to wait 6 weeks for your first u/s! Here I think they do the first one 1-2 weeks after your first beta. That has to be nerve-wracking. I hope you make it through OK! The waiting never stops, does it...

Thank you again for all your messages! I am on the edge of my seat already, even though I know the beta phone call won't come until the afternoon. My digestive system is all messed up I think because I'm so nervous/scared. (TMI, but I've 'gone #2' 3 times in the last 12 hours. Definitely not normal.) My morning cramps came back this morning, but it could have been that my digestive tract was just putting pressure on my uterus...totally guessing here. Anyways, I'm fidgety this morning. The nurse who took my blood said that they make the positive calls first, so hopefully it'll be very soon!
