Beta results are in...

My beta is 278 !!!!! Do you think it's twins? I go back on Wed for my 2nd beta. They also took my P4 and told me my progesterone is really high so I can stop the PIO shots for the short-term. Also very exciting!

Mrembo - OMG, I am so so so so happy for you!!!! Congratulations!!

Wannabe - Wow, you are a true inspiration! I don't know how you are holding out for your beta. It's definitely a good idea to be at home with DH when you get the news...My clinic actually recommends it, or that you don't pick up the phone and listen to the message when you're both together. Don't worry too much about the lack of symptoms...I still feel the same, haven't had any spotting, got morning cramps this morning. My boobs aren't even any bigger So hang in there...no symptoms might be a good thing.

Kokasmom - the girls are right...I also know a couple of people on these boards who got BFN HPTs even after their beta came back ++. Whatever happens, hang in there...we are here for you. We've definitely been there before. Feel free to lean on us. Sending some your way.

Mak - I'm sure you'll get a nice big increase tomorrow. Hope you're doing well!!

Lola - good luck!

Sunflower - those DHs are so good at keeping us in line...I'm for you and your strong beta tomorrow!

Kellay - thanks for the info...glad to know I'm not the only one...

I don't now if it's all these crazy hormones, but I am seriously having a sappy moment because I love you guys, and it amazes me how much caring can be conveyed even through an internet message board. Thank you so much for being here for me and for my first BFP (I know I've said it like a million times already)! Let's keep the BFPs rolling!!!!

KMP - Congrats, that's awesome news. I wish the same for everyone else on these boards!

By the way....what exactly does BETA stand for? We don't use that term here?

ValtheGal - you said you had to wait six weeks for a scan in the UK? It's 8 weeks in New Zealand!
We don't get the progesterone in shots either, it's pessaries, and they need to be taken up to 9 weeks if you get pregnant. Does anyone else have to do that?

I work from home so I empathise with those of you who have to go to work through all this, it must be incredibly hard having to go back and forth for scans, blood work etc. And hard to keep it private also.

Mrembo - Yay! Happy for you!

Wannabe - I too am trying to hold out, but that one little test under the counter keeps calling my name! I thought I had used them all up long before now, but there is one left! If I do it, it will be right before I head out for the bloodwork. This waiting is exhausting! I'm not having too much as far as symtoms go either. I am going insane too!

Lola - Good Luck! Thinking of you!

KMP - Yay!!!! That is so amazing!! Your posts make me cry too! Happy tears of course!

Heart

I want to thank everyone for the encouragement. I needed to hear it. Even with the BFN, I'm not going to focus on it. My ex (who is still a great friend) reminded me that I had a really low beta number with our son in 2000 (it was 34 at 14dp3dt). My DH, who had to be talked into IVF this time, told me that if it truly has failed, he will sell his '67 Camaro to pay for future tries. That's his way of saying he loves me and has my back.

Now enough of the negativity. That's so not who I am.

KMP - I can't begin to say how excited I am for you! Over the last few days, I've read this thread from the beginning and you deserve this. And wouldn't it be great if it really is twins?!

I'm wishing and for everyone.

I will say, though. Having gone through this in 2000, although I was so happy, I was nervous until they placed my son in my arms. I can't tell you how many times I went to the clinic because I was sure I was miscarrying. I never had morning sickness, so I was sure I must be the butt of some sick joke by my RE. Every cramp, ache, lack of cramps and aches, and anything else was proof to me that it was over. I think I poked my boobs every day to check for soreness. To make matters worse, I had what seemed like a normal during my 2WW, so I was sure my baby must have been damaged. The point is, for everyone who does get the BFN, it's perfectly normal to evaluate and reevaluate every little thing. Then when you hold your little miracle, this will all have been more than worth it.

You guys are the best! Now lets go get some BFPs!
