Okay, so this is my first post...I have been reading this thread for weeks now and don't know why I didn't sign up. But I want you to know that all of you have given me many smiles and laughs and some tears. I am sorry for the BFN's out there and my heart broke each time I read one. I jumped for joy at the BFP's and I know that those out there still trying will be proud parents one day soon.
I am trying not to freak out at this point and my DH keeps telling me to stay on the positive side but it's hard. I had a 5 day transfer and 6 days after transer, I had real bleeding, like a light period for me for several days. RE brought me in for beta test that day and it was low - 7.5, but it was early. I have been going every other day since and the beta has at least doubled (23, 64, then 127) but my progesterone level has stayed low. This last time it was 5.9. My DH also went back to Iraq two days ago so that is added stress. I have read several other threads that have resulted in healthy babies with low betas, but I can't find any that also have low progesterone levels.
Just looking for any feedback or opinions or anything!! I am very nervous about my BW tomorrow. I know it is late to get into a thread that has been going for some time, but most of you were on the same time frame as me. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Steph - I can't imagine how hard it is for you to have your husband away during this time. I really don't know anything about the progesterone levels but I have seen some posts of low betas leading to healthy babies. Just know we are here to support you even if we don't have answers. You should really ask your nurse for a consult to go over some of those questions and find out what the trth is about those numbers. You may not get the answers you want but knowing is better then waiting. Good luck.

Steph - I just thought of something that you may be interested in. I had read on another post that the progesterone levels taken form bw are not accurate if you are using the vaginal insert. You may want to look into that if that is what you are taking.

Stillwaiting (aka WaitingNoMore) - Wow, what a story! I'm so glad that you're cousin will be OK. How are you holding up as the nanny?

kts - I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering where you were! Good to hear from you. I've been getting really tired early as well, particularly after I eat lunch and dinner.

Steph - welcome! I don't know much about progesterone. During my 1st IVF, I took Endometrin suppositories, which didn't work at all because I got AF through them. This time, my RE put me on PIO shots, which worked fantastically. At my 1st beta this time, the nurse told me that my P4 level should be above 20. It sounds like yours is quite low...I would definitely ask the nurse if there are any ways to raise it (increase dose of PIO shot maybe?). Thanks for reading up on us...I'm glad you decided to post Good luck today and let us know how your beta goes.

AFM - not much is new. DH and I were trying to plan a vacation to Alaska to visit a friend out there, but I don't think it's going to happen...tickets are so expensive! So I guess we'll have to find someplace else to go for now. I hope everyone has a good Friday!

Yeah! My beta doubled again - its 287 today! They are still concerned because the number is low. They want me back on Monday to do another blood draw for the 6th time! Yikes! I am tired of being a pin cushion! They did go ahead and schedule me for the US on Friday the 31st because I will be 6 weeks by then. I hope thats a good sign.
Lucy - Thanks for the advice. I did sit and talk with the nurse today. She didn't seem so concerned with the progesterone because I am on the suppositories.
KMP - Thanks for the welcome and for sharing your experience. I don't know how you did the PIO shots. I heard they hurt!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Thanks girls, for making me feel missed. Sorry I wasn't posting both places this week, and thanks KMP for letting everyone know what my results were!! I had a hectic week with helping out my friend who is just home from a month in the hospital with her 11 mo. old twins and 6 year old daughter...between that, being tired, and having a little nausea, I just didn't have the time or energy!! I did read the posts, though, but when it came to typing...I just couldn't!! No excuse...so anyway! My u/s is scheduled for July 30 @ 11:30 to see how many little ones are in there! I can't wait to see how many everyone is having!!

Stillwaiting-I am sure you have your hands full up there in WI...!! Glad to hear that the news is somewhat positive for your family! that the antibiotics work their magic!

Steph-Good luck with everything...I felt my first beta was low, although it was not as low as yours, and I know how draining and emotional it can be waiting between betas, and then waiting for the call!! But it really looks like your levels are doing exactly what they should...I think you will be fine and posting that BFP before long!! It must be especially hard with DH gone...do you have other support that you have told about this process?

Wannabe-don't feel funny about coming over to the yo-yo sisterhood...we would be glad to have you there!!

Everyone else-can't wait to hear the results of all the u/s's etc...!!

Steph – Wow, how hard this all must be with your husband gone… you are a strong woman. I’ll be thinking of you and wishing you the best of news for Monday

Kmp – a vacation would be nice.. Alaska sounds awesome (though I’ve never been there for the same reasons $$). Just a short get away for a stress reliever, maybe?
Have a great time at whatever destination you choose!

Patilla – glad to hear the great news!! Sounds like you’ve been wonder woman for the last week! Definitely makes the time go by faster and the waiting easier.
I agree, can’t wait to hear how many everyone is having too!!

AFM - I am back in Chicago now and back to work, as I had 4 fun filled, high energy, very active days. My cousin is back home now, resting and still on IV antibiotics, but they seem to be working. Yay! I’ve passed on nanny duty to my Aunt, let’s see if she can keep up

I looked into changing my name, the forum does not allow this... so I'm changing it in spirit

I started taking oral progesterone yesterday (3x daily) in hopes that our ttc naturally worked . If not, it will bring on AF. Either way, we'll have an answer and a plan.

Thinking of all of you
