Honey - you already have a 20mm follie after 7 days of stims? That is overachieving Seriously, though, don't lost hope yet...I'll be for those smaller eggs to grow and catch up quick! Please let us know what happens.

Are you going to get to meet the other RE before your ER? My clinic is the largest clinic in New England, so they are kind of like a factory...so I get a different RE doing my procedures every time. On the one hand, I know these docs must get a lot of practice, but on the other hand, there's a certain comfort level with your own RE. I hope things work out and that the fill-in doc is just as good!

AFM - I can't change my schedule to start my stims earlier...apparently the embryology lab schedules start dates for patients based on expected length of cycle and what the lab can hold. So I just have to that I do 8 days of stims again because that is the day my RE is 'on duty.' I have an appt with her on Friday to chat about all this and her thoughts on doing a definite 3DT if I do 8 days of stims, just so I get her on her 'on' day. She did say to me last time that "if an embryo is going to implant on day 5, it'll implant on day 3." But since I had 2 fantastic 8-cell embies last time and neither one implanted after a 3DT, I am skeptical.

Anyways, I am going to focus my energy on all of you for the rest of the day and that tomorrow is a much better day!

Val-I'm so sorry about your position. I truly believe that God only gives you what you can handle. You can get through this and everything will work out in the end.

I started the Gonal F shots today. It is a Gonal F "pen" and you had to do these twists and clicks to give yourself this injections. Very different than a needle and syringe so of course I feel like we didn't do it right. First time jitters, I'm sure.

Ladies, hang in there! Remember, we can handle this and it will all be worth it in the end!

Honey - we seem to be in the same position I have 2 follies on one side and 2 follies on the other. Obviously both the RE and myself were hoping for more. I had BW this morning and waiting for my call this afternoon to confirm if he wants me to continue or not!

Hoping this cycle won't be a complete bust!!

Holly - on starting stims! I know what you mean with the Gonal-f pen...The first time I used it, both DH and I had to sit and read the instructions. We even watched an instructional video! After you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy though.

Val - I am thinking of you and your eggs I hope you get some good news soon!

Holly - a big for starting stims. I used the Follistim Pen for my IUI's. I loved it. So much better than drawing out of the vials. U'll get used to it.

KMP - you must be so excited for Friday. Hope to be right there with you.

Holly/KMP/Honey/Wannabe - thanks for much for thinking of me. This is really driving me nuts, I feel so helpless.

Had another US/BW - have been there every day this week so far and back in on Fri, so I get tomorrow off thank goodness.

RE said there was a slight change from Tues scan, lining has thinkened a tiny bit, the E2 level seemed to have increased a little but don't know the specifics. Biggest issue is only 4 small follies progressing.

Honestly thought I was out but got a call this afternoon that RE wants me to keep to the Menopur for another couple of days. He also had me start the Cetrotide (to stop ovulation) today, hoping that he still has some hope in this cycle. Praying for a miracle and more follies for Fri.

Wannabeamomma - AF was a couple of days late for me this month and much lighter to start with. This has never ever happened to me, I think I was willing it too much. The relaxation tapes sound like a good idea!!

kmp0430 - that your stims schedule works so you can have your regular RE. I too go to a hugh clinic here in Chicago and its like a factory so there is no guarantee that your regular RE will always be the one doing your procedure.

The Lupron shot was so easy i hardly felt it. Hubby did all the prep work and watched as i did it. I'm currently waiting for to show up then i'm supposed to call the clinic on my 1st day of a full flow to schedule the baseline US & BW then hopefully i start stimming if all goes well. Why do i have a feeling that will be late just to play with my mind.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a little behind but I think I'm caught up on everyone.
I'm just continuing with Lupron waiting for AF to show. For the last 2 years I didn't want her to show and now I'm waiting and waiting...go figure. Hopefully tomorrow she'll come and then I'll go in for U/S and B/W by the end of the week. So, that's all I'm up to. Looking forward to hearing everyone's updates as we go through this process together.

Val - I am so for you (that's on both hands )! At least the RE isn't giving up hope yet. Try and think positively...I know it's difficult when so much isn't under our control, but that also means things are unpredictable and could turn out in your favor.

mrembo - So glad the Lupron shot was so easy!

Honey - any word on your Day 9 u/s results?

I emailed my acupuncturist to tell her that my cycle got pushed 4 days, and I wanted to make sure she was around on the holiday. I must have sounded frantic in my email because she wrote: "Kalmi, first stay calm calm calm..." It made me smile

Also, I went out to dinner with a friend last night, and came out of the infertility closet with her. I feel so liberated...she's only the 2nd friend I've told. Turns out her sister had 2 IVF babies (and 3 IVF m/c's). She said there's a family history, so she'll probably have to go through the same one day (she's single now). Seems like everyone knows someone who's done IVF...

Can't wait until tomorrow...I start stims and DH comes home!

So I've only been on lupron for 2 days and showed up this morning. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? My cycle is usually every 34 days but since I was on BCP that means it's only CD 23? I'm so confused.

Mrembo - I don't know what is normal. My AF was supposed to come 3-4 days after stopping the pill and it came a week later. But it came ! Yahooo !! Glad u are having an easy time with the Lupron shots.

KMP - yeah on starting stims and DH coming home. And glad u were able to tell your friend about your journey. Its seems the more people we tell - the more we hear of others going thru the same thing. Its so nice to know we are not alone, although at times it feels like we are.

Hope the rest of you are doing well.

AFM, the witch showed her face late yesterday afternoon with some staining and I had a bit more of a flow this morning.....its still pretty light though. Makes sense, my lining was only 5mm. Either way - we start our anti-biotics and stimming tonight and then at 8:30pm I have a massuese coming to my house for an hour massage. I am cashing in my holiday gift from my boss. Yahoooo !!
