Am I crazy?

I have been cramping all morning...there was an especially pinchy cramp while I was sleeping.

This couldn't be implantation, could it? No. It's too early, right??

I am 1dp3dt. Too early. But why so pinchy?

I am 1dp3dt. Too early. But why so pinchy?

The pinching is likely your ovaries shrinking down to their normal state and/or your uterus recovering from the retrieval. It's hard not to wonder about every twinge and cramp following transfer. Believe me, I have been guilty of the same in my past cycles.

This schedule helped me understand what's going on with the embryos and how they're devloping post transfer. As you can see, the embryo has not even reached blastocyst state at 1dp3dt. I hope it helps!

What happens after a Day 3 Transfer?
1 days past transfer (dpt): Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt: Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt: Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt: Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt: Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt: Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt: Morula is completely implanted and has placenta cells & fetal cells
8dpt: Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt: More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt: More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt: HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

Thank Bridget

It's nice to have someone on the same cycle. for you too! This whole process can be so stressful first the 2ww, then hoping the pregnancy progresses normally.

My OHSS is alot better today, the pain is mostly gone, but the bloating is causing some wardrobe malfunctions

Now I find myself hoping it comes back soon, as the nurse told me OHSS responds to rising HCG levels.

I'm really hoping this is the end of my infertility journey. Last year I had 2 ectopics in a 4 month span. Both times had to have emergency surgery. Now IVF is our only option, and although OHIP covered some of my cycle, it still ended up costing alot because I was on high doses of the Gonal F and Repronex.

Let me know how you're feeling Bridget, it'll be interesting to see how we compare.

Best of Luck

Where's the Day 5 version? haha!

So if I'm 3dp5dt and crampy, should I take it as a yes?

Cuz I'm

Emmysmom-- I've just been feeling on and off cramping today and some pinches. But I think Danigrl is right that it's just my uterus and ovaries healing.

We should be implanting this weekend though! I am that it happens. I tried not to get my hopes up for this cycle, but it's impossible.

Sparkly-- I bet you can follow the same thing you're just a couple days ahead since you did day 5. Those twinges could really be a nestling embryo!

I am sending times a million to you all!

COME ON EMBIES!!

Torn

It's so hard, because I want to be positive without getting my hopes up (impossible). I usually go by the old "expect the worst and you won't be disappointed" but that never seems to pan out either. And not thinking of it is even more impossible

It's just hard waiting. My husband and I have been TTC for 4 yrs this May. We started when our daughter was 9 months old. Since then it's been a horrible roller coaster ride (and I usually like roller coasters). But I am ready for this ride to end soon.

I should find out tomorrow how many eggs are left to freeze, so hopefully it's a good number (hopefully we won't need them right away!)

I keep reading about everyone POAS, it's very tempting, haven't decided yet whether or not I'll try that
later on. Could be a big disappointment.

Wish you all Happy implanting

I know exactly what you mean. We pretty much canceled this cycle in our minds because I was responding so slowly, but as soon as they transferred those beautiful little embies yesterday -- I can't stop being hopeful.

I figure, either way, I will be just as sad and devastated if my beta is negative...so why not be moderately happy for a couple of weeks! It can't hurt...

I have officially decided not to POAS. I am going to hold out and try to enjoy the PUPO as long as I can.

Hi everyone

Hi all:

I'm in my 2ww in my first IVFcycle, too. I get my pregnancy test on Tuesday, June 9.

(I'm doing my IVF in Japan b/c my husband is Japanese--although I'm American--and we live in Osaka--it adds a whole new stress level since I don't speak Japanese! But DH is so great it's worth it.)

It didn't occur to me to take a home test early, but maybe I will. If I'm 8dpt now, is it too early to poas?

Also, I'd love some advice about what to expect at the pregancy test. Since I can't communicate very well with the doctors here, and DH can only come to the clinic with me sometimes, I don't know what to expect. It sounds like, from other people's posts, that they will give me a pregnancy test but also test my beta levels, and the higher the beta level, the better?

Also, how often in and when the US do they re-test, if you get a positive, to re-check your beta levels?

Thanks for any insight you can give, and warm regards to everyone!

Tracy

2ww

Hello everyone
I just started my 2ww, beta is on June 18th. This is our first IVF but we have been trying for 5 years. We did a 5dt yesterday. I have tried doing the passive thing, not getting your hopes up but either way when I get a I still feel the same.
So I have decided to be completely hopeful through this whole thing. DH has been truly a dream through all of this, and for the first time in a long time he seems o be letting himself get excited about this cycle.
to everyone and I hope we all get soon.

A lot of a little hopefully will produce a lot of people here!
