Indie, try not to stress! I am sure you are fine and it was probably just diluted like you said. Remember what you told me yesterday, the line is not an indicator of how much hcg is present, just that it is!!

Kelb - I started with 24 for my first beta...went to 77 on second and as you can see from my signature I am almost 16 weeks...I know the feeling of being cautious....hang in there! Your numbers are looking good...wishing you a super high beta #3.

I know...but once you see it go darker and get as dark as the control line it's hard to see it light again. I did a quick search online and everything says to hold urine for atleast 4 hours to get an accurate reading. I don't know if I'll be able to do it again today or if I'll just wait till tomorrow. Praying it's dark again....I don't want to repeat last year.

Thanks for the vote of confidence

Yea....me too. I wouldn't mind waking up and being a couple of months pregnant LOL

I'm sooooo tempted to call my SIL and see if she can do a sonogram, but at the same time I think I'd feel really strange getting a vag ultrasound by my SIL...LOL

Ughghh, it's going to be a long wait though for the first U/S and I just can't shake these 'what ifs'....I wish I just felt so secure in my pregnancy that I didn't worry. The cramps are scary, the spotting worries me....it's just never ending.

Feeling very sad...

Well, it is official. My beta number came in at only 1.6. My other levels looked okay. I'm wondering if they actually took a beta when I was there on the 30th because my RE felt that the number was probably higher and now on its way down and that I probably had a chemical. She felt like implantation was achieved, but it just didn't continue to develop. I can't help but wonder if my autoimmune issues and my positive ANA could be to blame. Anyway, she wants me to come back in on Monday just to be sure and then I guess I'll see where to go from there. I am devestated and wonder how you pick yourself back up? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all of your support.

bmwolf - I am so sorry ! I know how devestated you feel! I wish I had some magic words to instantly make you feel better, but it will just take time. For me, at the beginning I didn't know how I was going to go on. But, with time we were able to think about the future and begin to make plans for what we would do next. I pray you are able to heal quickly and begin to make a new plan. Truly, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Indie - I hope your research has helped you relax. If I were you, I definitely wouldn't test again until tomorrow with FMU. Like I said before, I am sure you are fine. Praying you get confirmation of that on Monday!!

just checkin in

Hello all..

Ive been very busy lately, we are renovating our house so between contractors, trips to home depot and working full time Its hard to keep up with all the latest on the boards.
So far all is going well with my betas and Im excited for the US coming up.
My office manager spoke to me and basically cut my hours like from 40 to 32 a week, BC they have to hire another therapist part time to see the patients I cannot handle, lifting stretching ect. Whoa I freaked out, they said it wasn't in the budget to have both of us working those 3 mornings. Im better today, I will have plenty of time for MD appts now and shopping for baby stuff. May have to tighten my personal spending a bit, but I think everyone is now. Am I silly for freaking out so bad, I think my boss must think im a lunatic. My excuse will be that I am hormonal and I am sticking to it.

Well, I waited 4 hours and POAS again. It's much lighter than it was earlier this week. I'm pretty sure it's going down

I'm just sick....I think I'll go in locally on Monday if I can and get a BETA test so I won't have to drive 2 hours for the U/S on the 14th.

I can't believe that I'm watching the HPT's get lighter again...just like last year. I really wish my RE would have done 3 BETA's just to make sure it was still headed upward....but nothing I can do now.

I'm still having some brown cm type spotting, cramping and last night was the first night I didn't have the evening nausea.....so we will see.

Praying for you all, continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as well please.

Indie, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping the depth of the color is no indication of how much HCG is present! I'm keeping my for you!!

Anj, TTC, KelB, Indie Blue, I know how you all feel about not believe the tests because we have never seen two lines before, wanting to keep testing each time you get upset because you're afraid to have harmed or lost the baby, and not wanting to twell people because you're nervous. I have felt these exact emotions this past week and just wish I could enjoy this more than I am.

Anj, don't test more than once a day. I did and it nearly made me nuts!

TTC, lines will hopefully keep getting darker!

KelB, hopefully this will sink in for us soon and we can enjoy our pregnancies!

Indie, I drove about 20 hours in less than 3 days and got uposet a few times and was nervous but beta was good. I'm freaking out too because I've told more people than I wanted to and my dr only does 2 betas and now I have to wait a whole 2 weeks so we should support one another!

Hope you all enjoy the fireworks.

Update on my HPT from tihs morning...

hi all... so this morning, I tested using the clear blue easy digitial... and it said "PREGNANT" !... so much easier that squinting at lines (like I did yesterday).

Feeling a little happy. But this is my thrd IVF... so I know that only the bloodtest will show the HCG number and then see if its growing appropriately... so am "cautiously optimistic"

HAzel; thanks for the advice... wont test several times a day... but with my beta on July 7, might test once more (to save my sanity!)

Indieblue: Can you get another bloodtest done.. as thats the only way you can really confirm HCG levels. I think the HPTs are prob. stressing you out more ... and if you could get a bloodtest, that will give you a clear answer. Dont lose hope...

KelB: hope you get a GREAT third beta !!! for you!

bmwolf: sorry about ur low beta. to you. It isnt easy picking yourself up again. This is my third IVF.. and with #2, i had a chemical. It is always devastating... no matter where in the process you lose your pregnancy. Take a little time, remind yourself of this journey you are on, and pamper yourself. Wishng you lots of babydust as you decide next steps.

Anj

Anj, congrats on + hpt!! I understand the caution, as I am cautious too while I wait to hear a heartbeat! I understand testing again until your beta, we can't help it heehee

Indie, please try to relax until you can get another beta. I tested on the $1 store test last night and the line was lighter than it'd been on other tests. I've decided not to test again until I see my dr this week for a local beta so as not to make myself crazy. I was just happy to still see 2 lines!

Have a happy 4th of july all.

I know I am new to this forum but I am hoping someone can help me. I am 4dp5dt (fet) and I POAS this morning and yesterday morning and I got negatives both days. These are supposed to be super sensitive test from webwomb.com. Supposedly they are supposed to detect 10-15mlU/ml HcG, where most tests detect about 50mlU/ml HcG. Has anyone had a negative HPT this early and had a positive just a few days later?

My beta was so low that if I had tested at all before b/w it would have shown up negative (Still cautious and praying it continues to triple). I have read of a lot of women lately who have had negatives all the way up to the beta and still carried to full term. You are still really early... basically on 9-10 dpo. Give it a few more days!

I know others have posted this, but this might give you an idea of when you can expect to see a +

This is what happens in a 5dt:

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood 7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

I posted my response to you on the other post you made but basically yes it can be too early. It's good to get a negative a few days past transfer so when you see 2 lines you know it's a real BFP. I didn't get my first real 2 lines until 6dp5dt. Good luck!
