My first beta came in... and is 281.
The nurse said the number was good... is it ? Where's that link to the betaboard??

Anyway, now hoping this doubles (at least) by Thrusday (next beta). Celebrating cautiously!

Congrats Baby4gerbee !!!

Anj, congrats on your ! Here's the guidelines from the american pregnancy association:

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :
  • 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
  • 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
  • 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
  • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
  • 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
  • 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
  • 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
  • 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
  • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
  • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml
* These numbers are just a GUIDELINE-- every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters but rather the change in the level.

Thanks, ladies! We are praying for a miracle . They told my dh that in 20+ years they have never seen a successful outcome with levels and increases like mine. Praying to be the exception!

Hazel - your emotion is too sweet! I must say, when dh called to tell me, I had a few tears roll down my cheek too!

This 2 WW is for the birds!!! you all agree? ! I am drinking pineapple juice and eating pineapple....i wonder how true that is....they say it helps with implantation. this has to be the worst experience ever! I am so relieved though...it is in GOD"s hands and I am letting GO and letting GOD.

TTC-good luck with your beta today!

Phxindian-Congrats on your

Puggle-Congrats on your 2ww and have reached the point of trying to relax instead of allowing yourself to go crazy (like I did heehee)

Kelb-praying for your beta today! I also wanted to share this story with you from another couple who is experiencing the same thing as you.

IUI was done on 06/17. First positive 07/01, retook test 07/02, it was positive. Beta done at lunch 07/02, which was 25. Repeat Beta on early morning 07/06, which was 65. The numbers are doubling, but the RE is concerned that our little jellybean isn't growing fast enough and that we have low betascores. Still having major pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, queasiness, tiredness, sore bbbs, etc. AF has not arrived.

Repeat Beta is scheduled for 07/10 and first ultrasound on 07/13.

Surely this has to be some GOOD NEWS!

“The Lord is not too busy that he can’t reach down and mend a broken heart. And my burden is not too heavy that he can’t hear a plea of faith, God Still Answers Prayer.”

For those of you not in the loop, The Mrs. received a call from the doctor’s office yesterday saying that our beta numbers were extremely low and that they expected to see her numbers dropping by Friday and for her to miscarry the baby. They said they just didn’t see any way possible the baby could survive. I sure am glad they can’t see through God’s eyes. There’s no other answer for this other than some dear saints rang the bell of Heaven on our behalf. Thanks to all of you for praying for us in our time of need. Words cannot express our gratitude.

Her beta was 64 on Monday, and it needs to double at least every 72 hours. With that said, the beta this morning should have been at 106.80, based on 48-hours between the blood tests. She just received the results back from today’s blood work and the beta was 116.44, so our little jellybean is still growing!

Please pray for higher numbers on Friday; she will have it repeated then.

Have a happy hump day ladies!
