Justonemore - I hate it when that happens. for all the jabs you had to endure. I think if RE is not concerned then you are doing good. My RE waits 1 more day to do 1st check. I like that you go in sooner in case they need to regulate meds. Grow Follies Grow

Mouse and Maggie - I have had a killer headache today. I am hoping to stop Lupron tomorrow.


Cagirl2003- I know what you mean. All you can do is try to stay as positive as your can. for starting Lupron. Let the journey begin. The only med I take is tylenol.


So bloodwork and us tomorrow. Can't wait. I hope all is looking good in there .

WOW - you ladies have been going crazy in here - chatting n stuff - I'm starting to lose track of whats going on so thought I'd better add my 2 cents in, quick LOL

I think someone made a comment awhile back about me being a Personal Trainer - that's right ladies, be jealous - I get paid to be a b!tch! <-- Beat that!! When people whine and complain, I laugh at them and tell them to suck it up and to keep going. I have the best job in the world! LOL Its true... maybe it helps me while going through all this, as I can take out my frustrations on them!? <-- I did have a couple women Itrain together say something to that effect last cycle.... hmmmm, yup, and I just giggled and said 'H3ll ya I'm taking out my frsutrations on you guys' hehehe

The RJ I take is in pill form already - it's mixed in my 'Greens' pills PLUS my added RJ pill - I dont have to gag anything down - tho I also take fish oils, and man, those are so not the sexiest thing in the world to burp an hour later!! hehehe Mmmmmm tastey.. LOL

Awe, I'm sorry you ladies are having to go through some nasty headaches.... to you all and be suer to take some Tylenol - since that's about the only thing we're allowed to take.

JustOneMore - awe honey - what a bummer to go through all that!! This entire process sucks some serious butt, no one can deny that!! We get so excited about appointments, then get bad, or not so good news when we go. I know I'm always scared poopless about my appts with our RE - I'm always paranoid that he's going to give me some bad news of some sort: a cyst that is going to delay the cycle, follicles that just arent responding to the meds, only having 1 or 2 follicles... anything that's bad, I picture him saying as I'm on my way to the office. <-- Maybe it's our defense - to prepare for the worst, so when someone not terrible (even if it's slightly discouraging) happens, we're relieved? Whatever, I think it's all just part of the suck butt process

cagirl2003 - oh honey - we all know how you feel, really we do. We're doing the best we can with staying positive and most days, I think it's all an act, for myself. But, an act I'm perfecting - so maybe in turn, it'll work? hehehe Seriously, I'm such a loser! <-- anytime you need cheering up or want to whine - thats what were here for - for you to complani, ask questions, cry, vent and then, in turn, we try our best to make you feel supported and more positive!? JustOne - My RE doesn't worry too much if you are off to a bit of a slower start because he always says it's easier to speed you up than slow you down so they tend to be more conservative. Sorry about the cyst aspiration. I've had that done, it sucks. Chin up, you are still in the game baby!!!

CaGirl - Why so blue? Based on your dates, you are about on the same schedule as several of us - no reason to feel negative (yet)! My second cycle was my magic cycle, so it can happen the second time around! I know I had my doubts at the time, but try to find your positive energy and harness it. You'll need it for the weeks to come!

Samantha - Sorry about your headache today. At least you're in good company! GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!! Report back to us so we can cheer you on!!!

Girls, thank you so much for the support. It helps so much to have you guys here!! I was so stunned during the appointment that I don't think I asked what the slow start really means. I emailed my RE this evening asking him to tell me if he thinks things will pick up or if the cycle will be a bust. He emailed back that it should turn out just fine and I shouldn't worry. I am going to try and get some sleep and just not think about it for a day or so. I am just praying for good news on Thursday.

P.S. How awesome is it that my RE emails? I think I sent the message around 8pm and he responded within a half an hour. It makes such a huge difference that he is accessible and responsive.

Good evening everyone!! I had a wonderful weekend with DH…that is until some woman backed into me at the grocery store. It wasn’t bad…just some nice areas where she dug the paint off the car, but no dents. What can you say at that point? She was sorry and DH said looks like we’re going to be using some touch up paint…that doesn’t really cover the blue streak that she left, but DH said no big deal.

As for Royal Jelly…my doc told me not to take it. I didn’t listen and I took it last cycle. I really think that’s why my E2 didn’t sky rocket during the second cycle like it did during the first…then again, I had less eggs. It could all just be coincidence. This cycle I’m going to be good and follow the instructions. I am however going to ask the doc about red raspberry leaf tea for this cycle. It’s supposed to tone the uterus and help with the lining. I’m all for anything that will make the embies want to snuggle in more.

So how many embies is everyone going to transfer this time? Last cycle DH and I went back and forth about how many to transfer. He refused to do more than two, but agreed to AH. This cycle he’s actually agreed to transfer three. I don’t know whether or not we’ll do AH again. I’ve heard so many pluses and minuses that I don’t really know what the right answer is.

Mouse: How exciting that you got your results…and they were positive!!! That’s so neat that they know the sexes already…although, the 80% chances are even better. I think that I would have to know the sex as soon as we went for the 1st u/s...or maybe once their was a positive beta…that way I could protect myself if for some reason things didn’t work out…then again with 80%, this is your cycle!!! Oh, on the Lupron headaches…I didn’t remember having more than a couple of them my first cycle or with the FET, but last cycle they were a daily occurrence. I’m hoping that they stay away this time.

jdw: I’m so sorry that you have to wait until September…I that you and your docs come up with the perfect plan to help you and DH have a healthy pregnancy!

JustOneMore: I’m sorry that your visit with the RE this morning was painful. The good news is that it shouldn’t effect your cycle. My first fresh versus my second fresh cycle was like night and day. My first cycle my E2 was 5800 at ER and my second it was only 2200. The docs told me that was normal…I wasn’t really convinced at the time, but it seems like that happens to a lot of ladies. GL on Thursday!!

cagirl: I was told you could take Tylenol for the headaches. Although one of the ladies had migraines when she was pregnant and they gave her percocet to take for the headaches…so I guess if they get really bad the docs can help. I try not to take anything extra. That’s awesome that your RE emails you! Stay positive; this will be your cycle…this will be the cycle for all of us!!

Hi Ladies!

arrived for me this morning with a vengeance. Perfect timing for my suppression check tomorrow! Also, just for fun, I ran my date (and you all will be very close) through a due date calculator and it said April 20, 2010 is my expected due date! Then it said "you are one week pregnant." LOL. If they only knew.

So, if all goes according to plans for us, we will have to start an April 2010 due date thread. Here's hoping!\

Hope you are all well today. Cruising around in a fog from exhaustion again. I sure could use me a cup of coffee! Did you all give up caffeine entirely? I did my first two cycles, but this one I have been SO tempted to cheat!

i don't give up caffeine. i have one cup a day. pregnant women can have that so i figure why not. it's my happy vice.

lupron was really easy. that needle is a breeze! and i don't feel anything yet, which is i'm sure normal. for those that did get side effects, when did you notice it?

JustOneMore- So sorry to hear about your cyst...but it looks like it won't be a problem for your cycle. The aspiration attempt sounds so painful. I hate even getting a pap test. If I had a choice...I think I would rather progress slower through my stims rather than more quickly. Your follies can actually become "overcooked" if you stim too fast. Looking back, I wish I had stimmed a little slower so they could have been able to retrieve those 2 other follies that just couldn't catch up in time. Remember.. the tortoise and the hare..."slow and steady wins the race."

cagirl- My nurse told me I can take Advil for my headaches. I am happy to say..today I woke up headache free. I just got done mowing the lawn. My yard looked like the amazon rainforest. Should I not be doing anything strenuous before my FET. My nurse said I am fine. I am allowed to have caffeine because I'm not stimming....however I am done with alcohol. Not that I'm a big drinker anyway...but I have quit my daily glass of red wine. I am not going to the gym anymore....just as a precaution. I miss the tredmill, but I don't want to lose any weight before my little embies come home. As far as the lupron goes, I started getting the headaches about 3 days after I started taking them. I hope that doesn't happen to you. Everyone responds differently to the stims.

Bella- I know what you mean about the nasty burps. My prenatal vitamins are the worst. I now take them at night time to avoid the disgusting reminders that I have taken them. Gross!! Also....I hate my freaken . The older I get, the more painful the cramps are. She always comes at the worst times for me too. I get the worst PMS too.

Maggie- So glad to hear has arrived. I will definitely be joining you in your April Mommies to be 2010 thread. We all will. Let's try to stay positive and enjoy everday that we have good news. I myself have had a tough time these past few days worrying about my embies surviving the thaw, but I know there is nothing I can do about it at this point. At least we know that they are strong and healthy. We have to try to be positive even despite all the negative experiences and news we have had in the past. We get back what energy we put out. I think that is why I had such a good first cycle. I was very positive and did a lot of throughout the whole experience. When difficult news and unexpected things happen, we are here to support each other. But for now...we need to open ourselves up for positive things to happen.

3rdtime- That sucks that someone backed into your car. If it makes you feel any better...some guy crashed into the back of my ankles with his grocery cart at ShopRite the two days ago. I was in the middle of a lupron anger storm and I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from turning around and saying "what the fudge??" Yes...2 days ago, I was so enraged from the lupron I thought I was going to physically hurt someone. Don't ever go grocery shopping when you feel like this.

South- Good luck on your bw/us tomorrow. I have mine too!! Last time this new guy stuck me and I could swear he was drilling for oil. I was like "Woa buddy....what the heck are you doing?"

Can I join? I am on the estrogen priming part of my third cycle. Even though it is my third cycle I have yet to actually make it to ER.

I just can't seem to get into it this time around. I am forgetting to take my prenatal vitamin a lot, not being as careful with caffine and just don't think about it that often. I guess part of me is holding back because I have a hard time believing I will actually produce enough good follicles to even proceed.

Anyway, I thought it was about time I join a thread and try to get myself back in the game.

Welcome!!!! I hope that this cycle works out for you. I am doing an EPP protocol this cycle as well. Boy is it l..o..n..g and involved. I was just wondering, given your previous experiences, has your RE considered an antagonist protocol? This seems to work well for slow responders. I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be to have been cancelled...twice. My heart goes out to you.

Aflower....sorry to hear about your cancelled cycles. I remember you from the April thread. What stims are you taking? I did the antagonist protocol because my RE predicted I would be a poor responder. I responded really well...thank god. Has your RE mentioned trying it out with you? Perhaps he/she feels you may OHSS. It is a much shorter cycle and easier too. Maybe you should ask him about trying it out. What do you mean by estrogen primer? I am taking estrace pills at this point in my FET cycle. Would that be the same thing? I did my cycle back in April but am just now doing my transfer. We froze all embryos for genetic testing.

Hi South- I had a better day today. I'm just now getting a headache, but I made it through the day headache free. At last...some relief. I played a lot of freecell on my laptop and watched a bunch of on demand movies. You can see I had a productive day. Just passing the time. Would you be able to add me to your calendar (FET-estimated July 26-31). Thanks Sam.

The next two weeks till my FET is going to be long and boring. It feels like it will never come!
