Justonemore and Mouse~ I have asked my RE about the antagonist protocol but they wanted to try this estrogen priming first. This is my protocol which seems kind of strange but we will see:
Cycle day 1-15 Vivelle patch 2x per week and testosterone cream 1x a day.
Cycle day 16-25 stop the above and start prometrium 1x per day.
Cycle day 1 next cycle baseline u/s and b/w, 40ug lupron 2x a day, hcg AM, 225 gonal-f AM and PM.

I am in the last half of the first cycle so I just started the prometrium. So I should start injections in a little over a week.

Hi Ladies! Hope all is well, sorry I have been MIA for a week, I just got back from vacation. It was relaxing to get away from my laptop for a week and from IVF. I start Lupron on Sunday, cannot wait.
Has anyone had random spotting while on the pill? I didnt have any my last cycle but I have been having random spotting this cycle? just wondering if anyone else has had it and if its normal.

Southhampton~I know I will have my baseline and bw on day 1 instead of day 3 but I can't remember about the injections. I'll find out.

jp1981~Spotting is normal. I spotted the whole time I was on bcp. It was a pain but did not hurt anything. Good luck!

Ladies. I have nothing to report today because NOTHING is happening!! After 8 days of stims, my e2 is a paltry 138 and follicles are still resting comfortably, hanging out and basically doing nothing. My RE (who I really love) says not to worry. It's as if I haven't started stimming yet. He said we will get to where we need to be eventually and I should not be concerned about it in the least bit - just have patience and keep the faith. I am surprisingly fine about whats going on because I really believe him. I have 10 - 12 resting follicles on each ovary so as soon as we figure out which dosage of FSH my body is willing to respond to, we should be fine. GonalF is going from 375 to 525 and I come back on Sunday for another check.

JustONe- How did your ER go today? Hopefully you are feeling good and are able to walk around. How many follies did they get?

JustOneMore- I'm sorry to hear you still aren't responding to your stims. That's so disappointing. I can imagine that after doing 8 days of injections, you're thinking your close to ER and then this happends. On a positive side, your RE sounds like he is not worried and that everything is control. That's great that you have 10-12 follies on each side. God...I wish I would have that many. I only had 8-10 total!! I think with the increase of gonal-f....your ovaries will wake up and get moving.

Today I went shopping with my Aunt. I bought three pairs of comfy shoes and some candy (twizzlers). I had a craving. I think the lupron is making me crave sugary & chocolaty things. Maybe it's in my imagination. Either or...I had to have it. I am feeling alot better today since I had the increase of estrace (estrogen). It's so freaken hot outside. Yuck! I went into Target today and they had all their school supplies out already. It's hard to believe I will be back in school in another month. Has anyone seen the "back to school" staples commercial. It's so funny!

i've had spotting almost every day too on the pill. it's strange cause it didn't happen last cycle, but i'm trying to just roll with it. when i went for my first u/s she saw a lining and said it would be expected i'd shed it. last pill is FRI NIGHT!!!! i cannot wait to be off this dreaded pill.

lupron is treating me well. well, i'm sorta biatchy, but trying to keep it to myself lol

I never had spotting with bcp but my friend did and her RE told her that if you don't take it at the same time that is what happens??? Speaking of friend , she had ET on tues and still has not herad about how many embies were frozen or not...shouldn't she have heard that by now??

I'm feeling good, just tired and I'm alittle more sore this time than last time. Especially my left side. Get this though, they had accidently double booked and had some sort of a complication in the AM, so we were scheduled for 10:30 and I did not go in until 12:30. I was starving and freaking out thinking that I would start to ovulate on my own. They got 17 eggies so now just praying for good fertilization and good little embies

JustOne - Congrats on a great retrieval!!! I would've been freaking out too if I had to wait two hours since they are so specific about what time to trigger, etc. You have so many eggies! I'm so excited for you! When will you get a fert report? Will you do a day three or day five transfer? Eeek! Exciting!!!

JustOneMore - I'm sorry that you are not progressing as planned, but I think your RE is right. Plus, I swear, the phrase "slow and steady wins the race" was coined JUST for IVF. Hang in there! Your perseverance will pay off! Also, I remember them amping up my Gonal-F at one point too...all common practice as I'm sure you know. Keep us posted!

Samantha - How are your stims going? I know those first five days they have you stim and don't check you are just torture. Then again, I swear this whole process is all a big game of wait and see. You pass one milestone only to begin the waiting for the next and then the next and then the next. Exhausting!!! Keeping busy is the smart way to go. I bet your son keeps you on your toes too. Mine is six months younger than yours, btw. Oh and THANK YOU for adding moi to the list! I feel like part of the gang now.

CaGirl - You are so lucky not to have any side affects from the Lupron! I am just eeking by...it is brutal this time around for some reason.

Mouse - I have to go with YOU on this one. I would definitely NOT want to be having a huge party (which in my book, 25 is pretty **** big) while going through IVF. I am sorry! Also, I really and truly understand how daunting and terrifying it is to be faced with the "am I ever going to be a mom, is it EVER going to happen?" question. It was probably the most difficult part of this whole process for me. THe not knowing, the despite trying EVERYTHING, still failing. I honestly believe that going through infertility is one of the hardest things in the world to endure. Hang in there sweetie.

JP - I didn't have spotting with the pill, but I know it is a very common side affect. Welcome back to it!

As for me, I had a great suppression check today!!! Against all odds, my cyst has DISAPPEARED! ADIOS! I couldn't believe it. As usual, my gimpy left ovary had the most antral follicles - 11. My right side had 7. Not bad. My E2 level is nice and low at 34 and my lining looks great for day three. I am cleared to start stims on Saturday!!!!!!! 150 units of Gonal-F and 1 vial of Repronex. Staying on the 10 units of Lupron. Oh my goodness i am so happy and relieved!!! I had the WORST headache this morning, actually it was more of a migraine because i was throwing up and my vision was blurry, but I think it was also tension/stress from anticipation of the appt. After that appt. I had only a dull headache. Anyway, thank you for checking in on me. Have a great night all!

mouse: who knew the grocery store could be so dangerous! Although, I do have to say that I am proud of you that you didn’t bite the guys head off. Did he at least apologize? As far as your defrosting concerns, we only had one snowbaby that we could defrost for our FET and it made it through with flying colors; I am sure that yours will do the same and you will get your BFP…after all, you got 80% odds…this will work for you!!!

jp1981: with my last cycle I spotted for about the last two weeks that I was on BCP…I also had that when I did my FET. The docs and nurses have assured me that it was normal. I’m actually surprised that after taking BCPs for 33 days straight that I haven’t seen any spotting yet.

JustOneMore: GL on Sunday. Everyone reacts differently and each cycle is a little different for the same person; your docs will get you where you need to be!

Maggie, yes, i do believe that that phrase was invented for IVF. the nurse that writes my protocol said it again as she was updating it. It is a mantra!

How many are you transfering? I assum that with so many, you are going for a 5 day transfer?

WOW ladies - I miss a few days and things have gone nutz in here - there's no way to mention everyone, so I'll just say - YAY - we're all getting closer and closer - before we know it, we'll all be starting a pregnancy thread and doing lil for morning sickness and making bets on who's carry how many babies LOL

According to my temp (yes, I want my **** to hurry up n show already, so I've been taking my temps the last few mornings, to see when she'll rear her ugly head) and it should be here today....... come on b!tch - this is one of the only times in my life I'm asking for you to come.... listen to me for once LOL As soon as she shows, it's soooo close to stimming for me too and I cant wait........ that much closer. So close, yet so far away.

Also, I've been HUGELY busy with another 'project' I have going on - I'm keeping it on the hush hush for now, til more is known - BUT - when I tell you guys about it - I do believe you just might and then question my sanity!? hahaha

So - we should start a new 'update' list thing.. this one should be like this:
