Hi ladies. Just checking in and I'm excited to see everyone is getting closer to ER (and Mouse to your FET). Even though I won't be able to cycle with you this Summer and have to wait until the Fall, I'll be here to cheer you all on to your BFPs.

Just one, congratulations on 17. I hope lots of them fertilize for you.

AFM - Nothing new to report. Just waiting until the follow up visit with our RE on 8/21 so that we can learn our test results and make decisions on our next steps. We are off on vacation tomorrow, so I'm excited about that. I'll check back in to see how everyone is doing when we return from the Ozarks. Have a great weekend!

I screwed up! I just realized that I messed up with my estrogen priming. I was on the vivelle patch and testosterone cream and then on Wednesday I started premetrium. Well, when I started the prometrium I STOPPED the vivelle and testosterone cream! I am suppose to stay on all three until my next period so I will have two days that I did not take all 3 things.

Do ya'll think it will really mess up my cycle? I am thinking not and plan to just continue on but I wanted some other opionions.

alflower- I know how easy it is to get all the meds confused. I would definitely say something to your RE. I know it sucks if he/she says you have to cancel your cycle. But....it would suck more if you kept going and had a failed cycle because of it. Your cycle seems longer than most, so it would be best to tell your nurse. Who knows....maybe you will be just 3 days behind and can continue anyway. Just to be safe, you better let her know anyway. Let us know what happens when you do.

Bella- Glad to see you back on. I will keep my in hopes that shows up soon. I hate all this freaken waiting around. It's giving me gray hair.

3rdtime- No the guy did not apologize. He was about 80 years old, so he probably didn't even know what had just happened.

jdw- How are you holding up through your hellish wait? I know how horrible it is...believe me. I'm glad to see you are going on vacation...it will help keep your mind off the wait. Time flies when you're not thinking about it.

cagirl- Lupron DOES suck. It made me moody and sad also. And...it made me eat like a pig.

JustOne- How are you feeling since ER? Any news about how many fertilized? I know what your mean about worrying over every passing minute before your ER. I was so worked up during the hour drive to my RE's office for my ER that my heart was pounding. I kept thinking my eggs were going to be airborne any second if we were late.

Maggie- 18 follies to start is so awesome!! Way to go girl!! How is your headache. Aren't they awful. My nurse said the lupron causes the headaches because it's not allowing your body to release estrogen. I guess our bodies are off balance. Hope you can start your stims tomorrow. It sounds like most of us will be doing our ET around the same week. How exciting.

As for me...another boring day of estrace and lupron. I need something new in the mix. I'm ready to graduate to the next step. What ever that may be. Just get me to my FET already!!

JDW- So glad to see you are going on vacation. Enjoy your time away and I am sure time will fly by till you meet with RE.

Alfower- I don't know anything about that epp. I would call RE just to check. Since you haven't had AF I am sure it did not mess things up too much. Call RE and let us know.

Cagirl - Lupron SUCKS!!! I hope it gets better.

maggie-glad to hear that cyst is a goner!!move over cyst , make room for eggs. what do you think ER will be?

bella- the thought of a crazy project intrigues me, when can you spill the beans? Isn't is crazy that for the past couple of years you'd pray for no b/c it gave you the hope of being prego and now you are wishing for it. It's so weird like that. At the beginning of this cycle I coincidently had to pick up my BCP and my prenatal vitamins at the same time. The pharacist was looking at me like I was crazy...

aflower- I know nothing about estrogen priming. I would definitely call RE. The last thing you need to be thinking now is " if only I....."

cagirl -cheer up. how much longer until you start stims and can decrease lupron? any idea?

mouse, how does it work with FET, you wait for and then what do you take and how long. We will hopefully be freezing eggs.

Fert report was good. 10 fertilized out of 17, which is better than 4 last time. I do a 3 day transplant with the plan to implant 4. justone would be great but I would love twins!!! my DH would freak but, oh well. Hoping that we have enough good eggs to freeze but my friend just got her letter and she had like 12 eggs left over and her letter said none of them were freezable and that only 20% of people have freezable eggs. It seems low but who knows

CHEERS to it being friday!!!have a nice weekend all.

Sorry I've been MIA. I had some stuff I was dealing with with my family. Well, I start my stims tonight. Got some bad news at the RE today. I have a large cyst, right on the borderline sizewise for continuing. They are going to let me cycle anyway and pray that the meds don't make it grow :-(. And unfortunately it is on my right ovary which seems to be the workhorse *sigh*. This is going to prevent us from getting as many follies on that side. I am soooo bummed. But I just got my E2 levels back and they told me as long as they were under 60 we'd be a go, and they were 42, so I start Follistim and Menopur tonight.

I now need to go back and read everything I've missed in the last week!

2lines- God...why does it seem like everyone in this thread is getting cysts? I am sorry you have this obstacle to get past. It's so unfair. I will that it will magically disappear...like Maggie's did. As if we all didn't have enough fertility problems....now some of us have to worry about cysts getting in the way. Sending you lots of and cheering you on as you start your stims tonight.

justone- I am still learning what the protocol is for FET, but this is what I know so far. Basically, I have to get my body to where it was right after I did my ER. I am mimiking my last IVF cycle. Day 1 of my I went in for us/bw and started 20 units lupron & bc pills. They want to suppress you so you don't release any estrogen and your follies lay dormant. I stopped bc on day 5. Then on day 11 I went in for us/bw. When they see your uterus beginning to thicken to a 3-4, then they decrease your lupron to 5units and begin you on Estrace pills (estrogen). 4 days later they increased my Estrace from 2mg to 4mg. They are controlling and raising my estrogen to a higher level. I have bw/us this Sunday, so I will let you know what happens next. I have Medrol pills too, but I'm not sure what they do. I haven't started them yet. The progesterone I begin a few days before my transfer. Not looking forward to those big a** shots going in my butt. By the way, I am fascinated with the info you posted....only 20% of women have embryos good enough to freeze. That makes me feel great because ALL of my embryos made it to day 6 for freezing.

Have a good night girls!!

Since I don't have my next check in until Sunday, I have nothing IVF related to report but a la Bella, I will let'chall know that I got a call back from that interview I went to last week. I need to meet with the top dog who has to approve me before they extend an offer....'cause apparently that is their intention! Whoohooo. I am so excited. It will take a few weeks before anything is firm but hey, don't we get really good at waiting through this whole thing? I am stoked (even though the timing is a bit nuts).

Good evening ladies! TGIF!

JustOne - AWESOME FERT REPORT!!!! You must be so happy. I certainly am FOR you! We did the same thing with our second cycle - transferred four on day three. It was our magic cycle! We are planning on a day three transfer again this time and will probably transfer three. My dh is also terrified of twins. Being a SAHM to our toddler, the idea scares me a bit too, but we will welcome whatever we are blessed enough to receive. SO excited for you!!! How many days of bedrest are you planning?

2Lines - I am so sorry about your ovarian cyst. I am a veteran myself! I am sending you my cyst-shrinking/disappearing vibes. I have been known to have the most stubborn type of cysts around and if mine could "resolve itself" I bet yours will too. Good luck with stims. I start mine tomorrow.

Mouse - Wow, interesting info about snow babies. I had no idea the stats were so low. We have only ever had one to freeze and that little one is still in the deep freeze. If we have any to freeze from this cycle, we will go back for an FET at some point. Thank you for the info about FETs, you are our resident expert!

Afowler - I would call your RE. You're probably ok, but since everything is orchestrated so carefully, it's best to let them now. Good luck!

CaGirl - Sorry that the Lupron got you. It's a you-know-what, isn't it? It does get better. I promise!

Samantha - How did the stims go for you? What are you on and in what dose?

As for moi, I start stims tomorrow night! I go in for a check next Tuesday 7/21 and then again on Thursday 7/23, with possible appts. every day after that and a tentative trigger on Tuesday 7/28 night and transfer on Thursday 7/30. Eek! It is all moving so fast. Does anyone else feel like IVF is a series of hurry up and wait steps? JEEZ.

OH and today I read a blog by a woman who is NATURALLY pregnant with triplets. Great for her, really. Except she said in her blog "We did not do anything out of the ordinary to have triplets. We just did it the old-fashioned way. It's more fun that way, don't you think?" Oh it just boiled my blood!!! I was so pissed! I thought about posting a comment that said "yes, I agree that the old-fashioned way is more fun, but not all of us have that luxury." People are so freaking insensitive. And this woman reads/comments on IF blogs, so she is well-aware what people go through. Stupid lady. Did I mention that she already has SIX natural kids and so the trips will make it nine. Okay Duggars! Sorry for the rant!

Justone - great fert report. Hope they are all doing well!

2lines- for starting stims. Sorry to hear about your cyst. I am sure you will produce lots of healthy eggies

Mouse and Justonemore - We are all going in tomorrow. Best of luck to you. Busy Sunday Can't wait to hear how everyone's us go.

Maggie - How exciting Stims start tonight. I do agree IVF is a whole lot of hurry up and wait. We all must have nerves of steel. My last Lupron shot was night befor supression check. I have been on 600 units of Gonal-F since Tuesday. I think I had about 11 antral(sp?) follies so they wanted a good workout. That womens comments make me crazy!!!! Like any person would choose to have their baby making experience this way. Don't get me wrong I thank God for IVF but who wouldn't want to and have them that way.

Alfower- Did you talk to RE?

AFM - I can't wait till 7 am tomorrow to see what is going on. I am bloated, emotional and a dash of b****y. So I am that they are all good signs. Thanks for reading ladies.
Happy Saturday!

Samantha

Samantha-not sure if you know the answer to this or if its true but someone told me that the Massachusetts mandate allows 6 IVF cycles per live birth. My insurance covers unlimited IVF so does that mean that it’s technically only 6 cycles that are covered?
AFM: I start Lupron tomorrow, I cannot wait! for a good cycle! My cycle is going to be same as last time except starting on GonalF 187.50 instead of the 150u i was on last time.

Hi JP -I am this is the cycle for us all I had heard that so I contacted my insurance and they said that there was no limit and so did yours. I wonder?? Does that mean 6 cycles for a live birth? Does it go back to 0 once you have a baby and have another 6 tries for your 2nd? I might have to call and ask all of these questions for starting lupron

You ladies are making me green with envy over here with all this talk of "unlimited covered IVFs"!!!!! We pay out of pocket for every single thing - every blood draw, medication, ultrasound, etc. I just wrote the BIG check (gulp) on Thursday at my appt. I had to do it twice because I ran out of room on the line. Not used to writing out the word "thousand!"

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. My Repronex this morning stung and I had trouble getting the air bubbles out of the syringe. Oh well! All for a good cause.

Is anyone on the west coast or are you ladies all in the east?
