but if that's good, as of now...i start luteal phase lupron this saturday.

i'm feeling good. i felt good with today's appt.

CAgirl: That's Fantastic! I hate to hear about cancellations I know sometimes its for the best but its so frustrating. All we do is wait for this or that in the IF world.

3rd Time: 17 is great! Can't wait to hear a equally good fertilization report.

Divi: Your nurse is driving me crazy, are they going to wait til your in labor to say okay your Preggo!?

Alfowler: I'm also ing for your follies!

JOM, Good decision! BTW I made an appointment for a massage next thursday can't wait. I think I'm going to do one a week while I'm on stims, then one before the retrieval and one the night before the transfer, if they aren't booked. They do color puncture, and some other therapies to so I might check that out as well.

Mouse - congrats to you - I pray for high numbers for you on Friday!

Everyone else, I just lurk inhere now as I find it toohard to keep up with everyone, I keep getting confused as to who is who - so I just keep reading and seeing what you're all up to.

Good luck to all the BETAS coming up and cagirl - YAY - I couldn't be happier for you!

Good luck to those still stimming and starting lupron....

Anyways, my ER was on Monday - it was 100% better than last time. As you know, in BC Canada, we're awake for it all and last time, I felt all the needles goingin places that needles shouldnt go. This time however, I started to feel some pain and the Dr ordered more meds, I got them, then I was good to go. I was so good, that I even fell asleep acouple times hehehe Until the ned, when the Dr had the nurse really pushing down onmy stomach to get at thelast couple that were hiding. Anyways - the reports so far; Yesterday (one day after) we weretold 17 retrieved, 15 of those were mature and 14 of those fertilized!! Today, of the 14.. we're down to 13 and I'm thinking 13 is going to be my lucky number!? Our embryos are kicking so much a$$ that we dont even have to go to the clinic on day 3 to discuss them - we're waiting til Saturday and doing a 5 day transfer!! Go embabies go....... please gawd let this be our time!!

SOOPER to all of you!!!

fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood

I know it seems like there is a lot of people on here but there really isnt, i feel the same way when i check the forum at 9pm every night since i dont have internet access throughout the day. I think when we dont hear from someone with an update we start to wonder how they are doing so glad to hear from you and that everything went well.
Good luck with your ER!!!

wow, i can't beleive what goes on in a day on this thread, my head is spinning.
Cagirl that is such good news that your cyst is shrinking, you must be thrilled.
Bella-13 fertlized eggs that is awesome. glad you didn't feel all those needles this time. ouch.
divi- whya re they being so cautious, those numbers sound great. I think they like the numbers to double but there are lots of successful pregnancies that have beta's that are just slow. I wish you didn't have to go through another 2ww. does this mean they stop beta testing?
3rd time congrats on 17 hope your fert report rocks.
aflower. hope those follies grow more so you have tons of little eggies
jom-yeah for tender boobs without squeezing

maggie-how are you doing?
AFM-i had my consult and in a nutshell this is what I heard
1. recurrant loss blood work: he thinks it will be a very low yield test but if insurance covers it, he suggests it( I called and my insurance will cover it).
2. he really feels that it is unfortunatly the quality of my 40 year old eggs and even though testing was good it is still probably the biggest issue
3. He did not recommend the chromosone testing. his thought is that nature does a better job and because of the cost issue he didn't think it would afford us anything except for paying for a cycle and then finding out none were viable. and he also said the chances of damage to the embryos was very high. I'm still on the fence with this based on jom and mouse though.
4. the one thing he said that was encouraging was he felt i was in a better position now then when I first started because I've responded so well to stims, have had good fertilization, and have had successful implantation. He still also said he is not a crystal ball and this is an inperfect science. ah duh!
5. he said he would probably not change to much next cycle except up my bravelle a bit and he would consider implanting 5 embryos which I told him freaked me out a bit. He said he would never consider this in a younger person and he would max at 2.
so all in all think it went okay. i think he answered questions logically and unfortunatley this is an imperfect science. I feel good, though and feel somewhat positive. Maybe I was meant to be on maternity leave in the summer??? they like to wait take a break before cycles. so I would have to wait until I got next , and then do the 2 weeks of bcp and then lupron and then stims. So I don't know, maybe stims will start end of sept??? all depends on so I'll be way behind all you 's but hopefully you'll still chat with someone who is just stimming. LOL.

Hello,

My name is Melanie, very new to site and been reading everyones profiles, don't quite know how to set mine up but did want to let someone, everyone, and anyone know that I will be starting my first and only IVF cycle next week. I don't know what all the abbreviations are but will work on it. Starting with patch and shots on Wed, then if all goes according to the nurses schedule we will remove eggs on the 28th and transfer either day 3 or 5. Will be looking forward to all the support, advice and general conversation. Good luck to all and know that everyone is in my prayers for a happy, healthy outcome.

I had my first ultrasounds and blood work while on stims. My E2 was at 150. I didn’t have any measurable follicles but I had lots of small ones. My dose stays the same and I go back on Friday. I talked to the nurse and she said my last cycle at this time my E2 was 86 then toward the end it went up fast…she said that I am where they want me to be so I hope she is right. Hope all is well with everyone else on here!!!

I need help. i just have been googling and found a nh bill to promote infertility coverage in nh. I am so unpolitical so for me to even understand "bills" is a stretch. how do I start a new thread so I can just let nh residents on this forum know this?

melanie . hopefully, you will find the support you need here. It is a great group of people. to set signature/profile go to user cp(top left) and then edit signature to create your signature and then edit profile to do some different options. . next to user cp is acronyms which is a pretty comprehensive list of abbreviations. It helped me when i first was brave enough to join and not just read. Good luck on your first cycle

I don't know much about this one...of course Mass has one, however, it isn't as glorious as it sounds. A lot of insurance companies fall under ERISA and in those cases the state laws don't apply. This was the case with me. Unless you have something like Blue Cross Blue Shield or Tufts, the law doesn't matter. I imagine that it would be the same if this NH thing that is proposed ever passes. Sounds great, but when you get down to it - it still only helps a select few, which is great for them...but I think everyone assumes that b/c they reside in MASS they'll be covered. Not true. I'm a nurse and work for a company who does reviews for insurance companies for this stuff. I tried fighting it when I tried for DD#2 and my employer wouldn't budge and they still don't offer infertility benefits. They're main insurance carrier is out of Texas or some state out there. So Mass. law doesn't apply. Let me know what you find out. I'm curious...especially since we're self pay now.

Guys, I'm freaking a little bit. I just went to the bathroom, and I had a few spots of lite pink blood. I am worried because I thought that implantation spotting occured BEFORE a , not after. Am I getting my period? I am still having cramping. Divi, are you cramping still after getting a positive hpt?

Yes, I'm still crampy off and on. Some times it is worse than others. Today it was a different type of cramping that worried me a little. It was real low by my pubic bone and it felt like extreme pressure, like my pubic bone was going to shatter. Are you doing suppositories? I can't remember. I know spotting is common with suppositories. I also know its common in anypregnancy, especially a twin pregnancy As long as it stopped and isn't full flow/red...no worries. Of course, I'm a worrier and I would freak personally...but I know that I can be irrational. Most 'normal' people would say not to worry, just rest, drink lots of water and if it continues call your RE for guidance/reassurance. But it is pretty common. I hope I helped

Its also around the time you'd get your normal AF and I know I've read somewhere before that some women spot at this time as its the normal time for AF...
