divi- thank you so much. I was ready to break down in tears in another minute. I am actually doing the pio shots ..not the suppositories. Last night I had a sharp pain around my belly button. It kept me up most of the night. I didn't have it today though. But steady cramps all day today. I am hoping for twins. I actually should have my period now..that's why I was worried this was . She better stay the h#ll away!!

divi- Did you call your doctor about the pain in your pubic bone. I'm with you on being a worry wort. How can you not be after all we've been through? Was it a pressure pain or jabbing crampy pain. My uterous feels like it is in a knot...and feels very heavy when I walk.

Hi Ladies so I did a hpt this morning and it is a . To be honest I am not suprised. I want to call RE and ask for an earlier BETA I think it is a waste of time to continue the PIO. I am at such a loss. I don't know what to do. I would just like to get AF and feel normal again. I am just venting PLEASE don't tell me it is too early. It is 12dpo when I have been pg I have tested pos by now. I just want to take my big girl pill and move on.

divi-I'm sure you have but thought I'd mention it. have you looked into supplememntal insurances? My friend is in ma and her current ins has a 10,000 cap which means she has enough left to pay for 1/2 a cycle. she has been in contact with a bunch of insurance co and most have a plan you can buy. i would caution you though, that she has gotten quite the run around and has definitely learned what questions you need to ask. Some don't cover meds, some reguire 3 iui's before IVF and get this clause on some plans.... If you get preg and then have a chem or an early miscarriage, the insurance company considers you as not having an infertility issue anymore so you have to wait 12 MONTHS and not get preg in that 12 months before they will cover "infertility treatments " again Are you kidding me!!!!!!anyway, she thinks Fallon is looking like the best plan for her

NH coverage probably will never happen when I need it but maybe in the future. At least it may start the ball rolling. My insurance is cigna which actually does cover infertility, the company I work for though chooses not to include it as a benefit and it is specifically excluded. supposedly AVON is a fantstic company to work for for infertility benefits. maybe it is time for a career change RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association: homepage had some good info on infertility if any one has time to check it out.

First off, I’m rather excited…I got my fert report…though it could be better; it is my personal best, so I am thrilled!! Of the 17 eggs, only 13 were mature and 9 fertilized…considering my first cycle was 21/15/10, my second was 10/8/4, I’m happy to be at almost 70%. I would have been happier if I had 10 fertilize, but I am happy with what I’ve got! My transfer is scheduled for 0900 on Saturday. I want to transfer 3 embies. Please pray for me that my embies are good…I have never gotten an embie better than a 3 on the 1-5 scale. My first cycle I had 4 grade 3s and 6 grade 5s; my second cycle I had 2 grade 3s, 1 grade 4 and 1 grade 5. The fives are pretty much arrested, so there is no hope for snowbabies with those; the fours they will not grow out to blast. I would love to have beautiful embies to continue with what I see as success thus far.

I’m still a bit crampy today…part of the problem is that one of my dogs decided to use my stomach for his launch pad today; he is 15 lbs, so it could have been worse…but it still hurt. The good news is that I can lay on my side today (I couldn’t yesterday). I have a lovely bruise on my hand from where the Anesthesia team blew my vein yesterday…as DH described it, the vein blew up like a slug…I wasn’t looking, but even with the Lidocaine they use, I felt her blow the vein. Her second stick (in the other hand) was much better.

Question: all of you BFP ladies, did you do your bed rest lying on your back or your left side for increased uterine blood flow. For my other cycles, I did my back, but I was wondering if perhaps the left side is better.

mouse: Acne can be both a symptom of pregnancy and of progesterone…given that your progesterone would be increasing with pregnancy, I would think it is a positive sign. My progesterone induced acne/rash begins about 5 days into the shots…you’re well past that point. DH and I have talked about spending a weekend in AC; we just haven’t made it there yet. Any recommendations?

Bella: yeah for a 5 day transfer!!! You will be PUPO pretty soon…and then a BFP!!

justone: a little AF dance for you to bring her along… ...now if she will just do what she needs to do so that you can start the next phase of your journey.

Samantha, I am so sorry. I also think I am right behind you. Cramping and sore nips seem to be gone today. I really just feel fine. Too fine. Part of me is thinking maybe I should find out the beta number tomorrow .... maybe I should put an end to the waiting. At least then I can start exercising and 86 the ten pounds that seemed to have find me during this very long and arduous protocol. Oh, and sex would be good. Not to mention a bottle of wine (or two).

Justonemore - I hear you I am going to call to ask if I can do BETA on Saturday I hope they let me. I just want off of all the drugs. I am still pulling for you as well as everyone else here. Just sucks thats all.

So I just got off the phone and they will let me do BETA tomorrow but I might still have to return on Monday because they don't do BETA's on the weekend and they like to do their BETA's on 12pt or more.

Now I think someone here went to Boston IVF. I am currently going to RSC in Lexington and have been happy with them but I feel maybe a fresh set of eyes or even possibly a new lab might make a difference. If I am going to do this again I want a change. If someone does go to Boston IVF can you tell me who you see and how things have gone?

3rdtime- I'm so excited for your embryos!! I hope they all make it through nice and strong. Hopefully there are some 1's & 2's hinding in there somewhere. As far as after transfer, I layed on my back most of the time the next day after. When I started getting bad cramping, I had to switch to my side...and I hugged a pillow. That seemed to help and it was very comfortable. I followed the nurse's instructions very carefully...absolutely no caffeine. I tried not to drink ice-tea which is my favorite. Only water and juice. I can't wait to hear your report on Saturday. I'm praying for you. Atlantic City is a lot of fun. My favorite casino is the Tropicana. It's very clean and not nearly as smokey as the other casinos. Trump and Caesar's is really smokey. I always get really stuffed up when I go in those places. The restaurants in the Trop are really good too. There is an Irish pub downstairs that makes the most delicious reubens I have ever had. This is coming from and Irish girl, so I know a good reuben when I find one.

jp- I wish I had tons of secret tips for getting that , but I'm not sure what I could say. This was my first cycle of IVF. When I was stimming I just made sure to get lots of sleep, eat really healthy foods (lots of fruits and vegetables). I stopped exercising completely, but I did do some Yoga meditation. Deep breathing exercises. Not the stretching though, because I was told not too. I kept picturing perfect sized follies growing and finally getting pregnant. I also prayed everday and tried to be as positive as I could. I also took DHEA and fresh RJ. Maybe that's why this high fsh'er was so lucky to get 2 healthy embryos. You never know. I'm trying not to get too excited about my . What if I go in tomorrow and it's bad news. The thing is, it could all be taken away from me at any second...and I'm scared to death. I am still spotting a little bit, but now it is more brownish color. Sorry to be gross. A little bit of tissue came out this morning too. I hope this is good.

Mouse - A lot of women get some cramping at the beginning of pregnancy. Believe me, I know what it's like to worry about every pain or cramp. Just know that you are doing everything you can to have a healthy pregnancy and the rest is out of your hands. GL on your beta tomorrow.

Sam - I was so sad to read that your HPT result was negative. I had simmilar feelings when we got bad news on our last cycle, just wanting to be over it, move on and figure out what we wanted to do next. I too want to send you a big virtual hug for what you are going through.
