hey sam, please don't give up yet!!I'm glad you were able to get an earlier beta. I go to boston ivf and I see dr. alper. It is a hard question to answer b/c I'm not preg yet but have now been close 2 times. He seems to be aggressive appropriately and takes time to answer my questions appropriately. I had a phone consult with him yesterday, you can see previous post and I think he is honest. On my first consult he told me that most of my communication would be with his nurse but he is the one that does all the background decision making. this has been the case but his nurse allison is awesome. She always calls me back even for dumb questions and she calls usually within an hour. She has been really helpful and has conso, led me on a couple of occassions. hope that helps. fyi, I went there b/c that is where my MD in NH kinda works with. DHC in NH also has a pretty decent infertility clinic but they don't allow my dr in NH to do the us or the labwork. DHC wants it all so that would be alike 2 hour drive for a 15 minute us/blood draw. hope this helps.

Sam - I'm so sorry about your negative hpt. I wish there was something more I could say to make you feel better. Try to take comfort in your little one, I know that always makes me feel better when things go wrong. Sending many hugs your way.

Hi JustOne - Thank you for checking in on me, especially since I should be the one checking in on YOU. How are you holding up? You seem to be doing amazingly well considering what you have just been through. We are the same, like to have a plan in place. I made a list of questions for my RE the day I got my negative beta results.

As for me, I tested in the wee hours of the morning (way too early, but the HGC was out of my system for sure) and I got the faintest of faint second line. Just barely, but it's there. I made my friend who's an RN look at it this morning and she confirmed that I am not insane. As of today I am 6dt3dt so it's super early yet. Cautiously optimistic!!!

Hello everyone!

Well, well, well.

Well, guys, I emailed my nurse today to ask her about night sweats. I have been waking up soaking wet in the middle of the night every night this week. I never have night sweats unless I have a fever or the flu so I am thinkin maybe this is a side effect of the cronine.

She emails me back "definitely hormones ;-)". So a little web research and I found:

Night sweats during early pregnancy (first trimester) is the evening cousin of hot flashes, but typically more intense. Night sweats during early pregnancy (first trimester), which is also known as "nocturnal hyperhydrosis", isn't actually a sleep disorder, but it is a common perspiration disorder that occurs during sleep. A night sweat can become bad enough to wake you up night after night, either due to the uncontrolled heat over your body, or being wet and shivering because of damp sleepwear. This can be very disturbing since adequate sleeping is important for a healthy life.

The uncontrollable sweating can significantly disturb a balanced life (physically and emotionally). We should know what Night sweats during early pregnancy (first trimester) involve to be aware on how to face it. The following articles show and explain the different causes for Night sweats during early pregnancy (first trimester).

Holy Sh*t. Could it be? Could it be? This is the only darn symptom that I am sure of and I didn't even think that it is related.

D*mn, I am not even POASing and I am making myself nuts.

JOM- I believe you are experiencing a pregnancy symptom my friend. I read somewhere that a pregnant woman's average body temperature is a few degrees higher than a non-pregnant woman's normal 98.6. Perhaps you are pregnant. I am feeling optimism coming from you...and I love it. Good luck on your beta tomorrow. Are you going to wait till next beta to hear your results?

Maggie- I hope...hope...hope..hope that the faint pink line gets way darker as the week goes on. I took a digital test today...and "pregnant." The spotting has stopped and the cramps are much better today. I'm feeling very hopeful for my beta tomorrow.

nms- During your last cycle, did you get a before your beta and then get your period before beta??? I had alot of cramping this whole past week, so it could be a really good sign for you.

Mouse, I am so excited to hear your beta tomorrow. Best of luck for a super high number! Please update us when you can.

AFM, I may live to regret this, but I just gotta know. I am going to take the call tomorrow and find out if anything is cooking. Now that I realize what the night sweats are all about, I am scared that I won't have them tonight! I know that it is probably better to wait but I can't be making myself more crazy than I am already am making myself. [I only think I could be all cool-as-a-cucumber about it when I truly believed it was negative. Now that I know it COULD be positive, I can't wait any longer.]

I will post once I hear.

Mouse,

I got my period and never got a BFP. I was the worst patient here as I POAS every day for almost a week. It was so discouraging. I hope no on drives themselves crazy like I did. I am wishing you so much luck.

You have cramping right?
