Bella: The good news is that we will get to do the 2ww together…the bad news is that they haven’t figured out a method to eliminate the 2ww. I’m starting to get excited!

Justone: Right now our jobs keep DH and I separated…he works in NYC and I’m down by DC…come December I will be back with him. So I took the long weekend to drive up to our house (about 30 miles from the city) and sleep in my bed…that’s always so relaxing! We had a lovely time in the city…other than the fact that everyone wanted to stay for the fireworks and I get very nervous inside a large crowd…so I was a little stressed.

jp: I cannot reply as far as tube issues are concerned. As far as a lap goes, my clinic will not allow you to participate in IVF unless you have had a lap done. Does your insurance cover a lap (mine considered it diagnostic so it was indeed covered)? In this whole process you have to do what makes you feel the best…if you are stressed out that there might be something wrong, I would recommend getting them checked…especially if you are paying for IVF (or a good chunk of it) yourself. I’ve actually thought about asking to have another lap done (my last one was in 2003)…just because there is part of me that says there has to be some reason this isn’t working and I hate spending money and not getting pregnant (although it seems to bother DH much, much more!). But you also need to weigh that with delays to when you could cycle again…after all, if you doc really thought there was a problem I’m sure there would have been some insistence towards a lap. I know that’s not much help…but you need to do what makes you the most comfortable.

AFM: I had a lovely weekend with DH…that is until he decided to tell me tonight that his sister is pregnant again (#3). So I’m a little green right now. They cannot afford the two that they have (we send them money every month), so I don’t know how they will afford another child. We are supposed to go visit DH’s brother and his wife next month (to celebrate her birthday) and the whole family is going to be there to include my now pregnant SIL and her other kids; all of this will be taking place during the 2ww and I just don’t want to go. I’m sure that DH is just waiting for me to back out…I really wish he would make this easier for me and just tell me not to go because I don’t think that is stress that I need during the 2ww. Did I mention that DH has known for over a week and he has still had me planning our trip? I’m sure the right answer will present itself…I’m just not sure I will like what that answer is.

3rdtimesthecharm-isnt that always the case!!!! Same with my SIL. She had 3 girls in like 4 yrs while not trying!!! Along with everyone else who is not trying...everyone around me is pregnant! Its like we have to stop wanting it and it will happen

Third - I'm happy for you that you have your schedule now. I also wanted to let you know that my SIL is pregnant too, so I sympathize with you not wanting to deal with being around her during your 2ww. My pg SIL is DH's little sis and it's her and her husband's first child. DH and I are very close to his little sis and her DH. So mostly I'm happy for them, but of course a little jealous too. I have to admit that I was happier about her being pg when I thought we'd be having a baby not too long after they did (but it wasn't meant to be). We are going to a reunion with most of my DH's rather large family in 2 weeks. EVERYONE knows that we lost a baby (again). I'm thinking that they will feel too uncomfortable to bring it up, which is fine since I really don't want to discuss it. At least my SIL is too pg to be there so I won't have to see her this trip. Oh and after SIL has her baby, we'll be going out there to visit, which is another thing to look forward to (not). I hope I am at least in another cycle by then.

I know you'll make the right decision for yourself about whether to go see your DH's family or not. I think if you are not up to it emotionally, it's fine to say that you are sick or something and not go.

4 sleeps til I start the Suprefact - the 1st injections of IVF#2 I know they're still going to suck and hurt, but hey, we're moving forward and this is our lucky #2 <-- Positive thinking at it's finest.

Ever since failing IVF #1, I find it even a bit harder to deal with pregnant women - is that wierd? I have a girl I know who is due in about a month - and I can't seem to bring myself to ask her how she's doing, or why she's still working - cuz, quite frankly, I don't give a d@mn - does that make me a bad person? LOL BUT, when she found out our 1st IVF failed, she said 'Well, now you and DH need to wait, grieve your loss, dont jump into anything - take a long time off all the treatments...' to which I replied 'DH and I will go into another cycle when WE'RE ready, when WE think it's right, be d@mned what anyone else thinks' <-- I think that ticked her off, cuz she hasn't asked me a thing about us trying since then.... <-- I'm to the point that I'm not here to make other people feel better or explain just what's going on and why I say what I say... you know? Before, I would have sent her an email and appoligized for what I said, or at least the way I said it - but, not anymore. Until you've gone through this, do not tell me how to deal with it or when to do another cycle, you know? Man, I'm sounding like a real b!tch, I swear I'm not hehehe I just get so tired of all the advice, especially from people who took 6 months of under to get pregnant themselves.

Shawna-I am with you on hoping we all get a I swear the last forum I was on almost everyone had a expect for me! And yes pregnant people are very annoying and all around me, hope we dont offend anyone on this forum

AFM: I have almost 3 more weeks of BCP which feels like forever. Not looking forward to the weight gain, praying that it only happens the 1st time and wont happen the 2nd time around. At least i will be on vacation next week so it will make the week go by.

AFM - Wow what a witch Lupron is turning me into. My DH is running for the hills. Oh well just part of the process. I am hoping to stop Lupron at supression check which is a week away.

Justonemore- I know right. It seems to be only directed to DH right now but I know how that goesAre you having any bloating as well?

Cagirl - I don't know why but it sure makes me *****y. I use to get very bad headaches as well. Luckly that has not happened this time so far. But I am bloated though. It is so amazing that same meds same dose but different side effect. Strange huh!

Hi Ladies!!! At this point I would take being on lupron over on the BCP's, i hate those things!!! if i know my Dr coldnt tell i would def not be taking them. The BCP period just feels like it lasts forever, I am dying to get to the injections stage which is really sad given how much I hate them.
I start acupuncture tomorrow, hope it makes some sort of a difference. My lining was fine all along but I am willing to try anything if there is a chance it may help.
