cagirl- Don't worry about your 19's. I had a few 22's at ER. My nurse told me that sometimes they'll risk losing your biggest follie to allow those borderline size ones to catch up. I'm pretty sure that's what they did with me. Best of luck on your ER. Can't wait to hear your fert report!!

thanks for keeping me positive girls. i just get so nervous around ER time...and then last month on the lupron i formed that follicle so i'm even more nervous. maybe once i go through a full lurpon cycle i won't be as scared.

i'm so sorry bella! that has to be so hard. i'm gonna tell you what the doc isn't...keep your chin up. i still really feel good about your #s! it's increasing! THAT is DEFINITELY positive.

maggie! ack! that's awesome!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Maggie, what a twist!! I know you were hoping for one but with a positive HPT so early, I knew it was two!

I had to look up momo and modi because I never heard of this before. When is your appointment? I will be praying that they are modi!!

I know you are cautious, but how cool would it be to have identicals? I really hope everything is okay and you are holding them before you know it!

My RE is sending me to the maternal fetal specialist where they have much more powerful machines and will be able to determine if they are monochorionic monoamniotic (momo) or monochorionic diamniotic (modi). Modi is far better because it means there is a membrane separating them within the sac.

So, happy but very cautious as it could be a serious problem that they are sharing one sac. Still, I am marveling at the miracle. One embryo split and we have identical twins. No twins in our families so this was completely random.

Hoping to catch up on everyone this weekend. For now, trying to eat my 3500 calories and tons of protein every day.

xoxo

bella, sorry to hear this has been so stressful for you with those numbers and more importantly the response from your clinic. The numbers sound good though as they are still rising quite a bit. not quite double but pretty close.

mouse sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I'm so envious though, I'd love to be have morning sickness right now!!! What about soy products for some increase protein? or even protein powder to mix into shakes. It is not that bad, I use it when I'm training for a tri.

cagirl- good luck on ER, I had follies at 22 when I triggered. and still ended up with a good number of follies. Can't wait to here your feert report

jp sorry to hera your confirmed news. glad to see you are meeting right away with your RE

maggie- I'm so happy for you. I know you wanted one little guy but the fact that one split means you are destined for identical twins. I'm praying that the specialists have good news for you. When will you have the special us (I'm assuming). Surely, they won't make you wait.

no news on this home front yet. expecting soon. I started breaking out so I'm pretty sure the au natural thing didn't work. Going campin labor day weekend so I'm sure I'll get at the most inconvient time!!!

Hi Ladies! How everyone had a nice weekend.
Shawna-so sorry for all the stress that you are going through, really hoping that everything ends up working out.
AFM: I woke up this morning with arrival then I had the baby shower. It wasnt so bad, i am really happy for them just sucks not knowing if my turn will ever come...i think as long as i dont find out of anyone else being pregnant i should be okay. I know way too many people who are expecting from now until X-mas...My next baby shower is in October!
I have my Dr's apt on Wed and I will probably have my LAP surgery next Friday. I am actually excited to get it done and over with.

CaGirl - GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!!! Thinking of you!!!

JP - Sorry that you are still in the angry phase. I remember it well. I hope you didn't go to the baby shower. I also boycotted those and would you believe once I got a "thank you" note for sending a gift PLUS the **** onesie I was supposed to decorate and it said "I am sorry for what you are going through but you will get pregnant when the time is APPROPRIATE for you." Can you imagine my fury? Just remembering it now still hacks me off. Who is to say when it is appropriate for anyone? How about just "thanks for the lovely gift. We missed you at the shower." No good can come of going to a baby shower right now! That was one I didn't even GO to! I really hope you saved yourself the grief. Hang in there. This crap is so hard.

JOM - I KNOW. Can you believe this twist? I must say we had to take a few days to get used to the idea but are now excited. We have a long road ahead because of the shared sac, but if they are modi, I have a good feeling we will be ok. On the upside, MORE ULTRASOUNDS!!! The one and only upside of infertility. What did you decide on the career front?

South - GO IUI!!! I am crossing everything that this is your miracle time. Hope you had a great, long weekend.

JustOne - I know everyone hates that "I started breaking out and I am PG!" kinds of stories, but I will say that I did break out this time and I didn't last time. Maybe, just maybe it worked? Still a possibility! Ok, annoying pep talk over. If she is on her way, I hope stays away until after your camping trip!

Bella - I know all about the obsessing that's going on in your head right now. I almost wish they had not ordered those 4th and 5th betas for you. They didn't with me and now after seeing what you are going through, I am so grateful! When is your u/s? Just remember, my numbers were 173.5, 241 and 623 and we had two heartbeats at 6w3d. Hang in there!

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I had thought maybe twins after my first beta, but when it didn't double, I was just hoping for vanishing twin. My RE thinks maybe it was vanishing TRIPLET. We'll never know, but I still cannot believe that we have a natural set of identical twins. WHAT. I must admit, the identical part is really exciting, especially to my nerdy husband. What we will hope to see on 9/10 is a thin membrane separating the babies within the gestational sac. What would even be BETTER is the membrane plus two placentas, but I would take just the membrane at this point. That membrane would keep the babies safe from the huge danger of cord injury and would also keep me from having to be admitted for 24 hour surveillance starting at 25 weeks.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, but know I am thinking of you all!

well i have to say i was slightly disappointed. i wanted more. i had 13 last time so maybe it'll become my lucky #. i'm more sore this time. truth is i didn't do the high protein/whey shakes this round and i think it "hurt me" my ovaries were pretty heavy with fluid. the doc has asked i drink the whey shakes/go high protein the next few days to avoid OHSS. oddly...and this is TMI, but my vag was like on fire after! i wonder if he "nicked" me it feels better now. my tummy still hurts though.

i'm laying in bed, drinking gatorade. i took my first vicodin. yum!

thanks for all the support girls. means so much to me.

cagirl - 13 is a lucky number - i can feel it!! Thats awesome - you should be happy!! YAY!! I'm excited for you....

Maggie thanks for the kind words and I desperately wish they hadn't made me do that 4th beta - I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!! Especially with the clinic being so **** negative about the whole thing. Your story does gimme hope though... I pray we have at least one lil one growing inside me right now... I now have my U/S for Thursday and I'll be 6 weeks and 3 days by then <-- Do you guys think I'll see a HB by then?

So scared... but staying as positive as humanly possible...

ok...

we split the egg count this time and we did ICSI on some and not on the others.

out of the 7 we ICSI'd only 4 were mature and out of those 4 all four matured!
out of the 6 that were regular IVF'd only 3 fertilized.

i'm happy though. i had 6 fertilize last time and 7 this time.

they think it'll be a 3 day transfer.

i'm pretty happy with that.

cagirl-that is awesome news, 7 fertilized
bella-my for an awesome us on thursday. i really feel good about this.
jp-hope your md appointment goes well tomorrow
maggie i can't beleive you have to wait to the 9th for your next us. I really hope it is a good us. It is so random to have an egg split, especially when you are going through ivf so i think that is a good sign.

South, i can't remember, did you do iui recently? when is your beta?

afm-no yet, I was in walgreens today and really wanted to by a poas test b/c if I buy the test, i usually get that night, but i didn't. i also think my plans for this cycle have changed. I have again heard through my mom several peoplelthat she knows who had ivf ended up taking heparin b/c clotting was an issue. all of them had 2-3 chemicals and then with heparin had successful pregnancies. Even though my RE didn't think anything would come of the testing, I'm really just feeling that if i don't do this and don't get preg, I'll always wonder???Because this is only some of the tests ordered for me, it will be covered by ins. I think it will put me behind though b/c I was told the tests would take 2 weeks to be done. DH just says do what you want....sometimes they are just no help. I feel pretty good about delaying this for a month to see if maybe this is the issue. part of me wants the blood work to show I have a clotting issue. My mom told me not to eat leafy greens. they contain vit k which increases your clotting speed. I eat spinach every day for folic acid. god it is never easy when you are doing ivf. for any other normal woman, spinach is recommended?????ughhhhhh

Hi Ladies! Just wanted to check in and say Hi. We had our 2 yr anniversary tonight, my mom cooked us dinner, it was so nice to have a few glasses of wine for a change. We live with my parents since we have been building a house for the last 3-4 which is finally done!
Sam-good luck tomorrow, catn wait to hear all about it, i hope that you done need it and that the IUI worked
Cagirl- that your embryos keep growing, you are at such an exciting time of your cycle!
AFM: I am meeting with my RE tomorrow afternoon, from the way its looking i am going to have a LAP done to clean or remove my blocked tube and see if there is anything else thats getting in the way. I am excited to get it done if it means getting me closer to a succesfull IVF cycle! On Thursday i have the day off and I am meeting with Dr Alper @ Boston IVF for a consult. If i have another failed cycle at RSC i am def going to Boston IVF so since i had the apointment I might as well go and jsut get a second opinion on things. Glad to see that we are all moving along...
