Hi Guys,
I haven't posted in a while, but I've been lurking...reading all your posts. I just want everyone to know that I think of you all the time and I am really excited for everyone to start their next cycle. I am cheering you on from the sidelines. As for me, I am done with the progesterone shots, but when I went back in for a blood test, my numbers dropped from 31 to 15. Because of that...I am now taking prometrium suppositories. Tomorrow is my first appointment with my ob.

jp- I am so happy your surgery is behind you now and you can move forward with your next cycle. Sorry you had to wait so long for your surgery. Did your re do your surgery, or did you have it done in the hospital?

Maggie- You are truly blessed!! So relieved to hear your twins will be ok.

South- Wanting to wish you good luck on your upcoming cycle. I'll be popping in to check on you.

cagirl- I'm so sorry to hear about your beta. It will take some time, but don't give up. Everyone is here for you...sending you the strength you need to get through this difficult time.

Cagirl-glad to hear you are doing OK. It’s what we do, dust ourselves off and try again
When is your follow up with your RE?
My acupuncturist said that cinnamon, garlic and ginger were great for egg quality. Her other big thing is keeping your feet warm at all times. Apparently the feet have a lot to do with the condition in the uterus.

Mouse-good luck tomorrow!!!!
My RE is also the chief of the dept at the hospital I go to. Unfortunately they don’t have IVF so he manages my cycle but sends me to a lab they use for the ER and the ET. I really like my RE but hate that he doesn’t work at the lab.

So I had to get this off my chest. My sister in law is going through infertility testing...She is 36, so she told me that she never knew anything about ovulating and when it happens she learned about it yesterday. She never knew that there was a time in the month that you have a good chance in conception. Her OB told her that yesterday and she is amazed. So she is assuming that they have missed it for the past 5 yrs and is going through all the testing. Its seriously people like that who give people who actually have infertility a bad name, I mean doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a problem but she has done zero research and expects the Dr's to just figure out her problem. As you can tell I am just slightly annoyed with the whole situation....If she went to my RE he would have probably made her cry and told her to come back in 12 months.

Exactly! I would take a thousand pills a day if I needed to. I know that all the pills are like pretty much everything when it comes to this whole process...what one RE recommends another one discourages. I just hope that I've got the right combination and the right protocol when I get started again to find success.

Feet warming is awesome! I truly believe the extra blood flow to the uterus from feet warming is what helped my lining make it to double digits during my cycles since without warming I could only get 8s and 9s. I have a nice kirsch (cherry) ceramic bead heating pad that I can heat up and have anywhere that I love to use for this.

All I can say is WOW! I guess if they have been trying for 5 years without knowing that there is a prime time for conception to occur (which I find amazing), they must've been trying at the right time without knowing it and they will probably have some of their own issue to conquer. Has she since become interested in doing some research or is she hoping that it all just falls into place? I would let her know that she can be led down a rather rosey path without doing some of her own research and then she might end up with unnecessary disappointment. I am learning more and more how important it is to take some personal control in your medical care.

Hi ladies. I thought I'd pop in the check on you all.

Third and South - I'm wishing a successful outcome to both of you as you gear up to start a new cycle. I know this will be the one for both of you. I may have missed this info in your past posts, but when do you plan to have your next IVF's?

Mouse - Great to hear that your pregnancy is progessing. I'm very happy for you!

AFM - I wanted to let you know that our clinic found an in-house potential donor for us. She has all of the qualities and physical traits that we are looking for. We even got to see baby, childhood and even an adult picture of her. We liked what we saw and we've told the clinic that we want to do a cycle in November. The next step is that she has to go through and pass a psych evaluation, which is a standard procedure. Keep your fingers crossed for us that our donor isn't crazy and is willing to commit to doing the cycle for us in November.

Jody

jdw-congrats on finding a potential donor. that is so exciting.

jp thanks for tips on egg quality. I just bought cinnamon stick tea and I also bought a tea called bengal spice which has cinnamon as first igredient. It is sooo good. I don't even need sweetner.

mouse-good to hear from you and congrats on graduating to the OB. that is a big step. how many weeks are you?

AFM-Just got the final two tests back and they are all perfect so here is my plan. I was going to start lupron this monday but there is no way I can pay for the cycle today because I need to tsf funds yadda, yadda, yadda....I have a course I'm going to in NJ on Oct 23-25 and if I satrt lupron any later than monday, I'm cutting it really close to ER/ET falling in that time frame. Ijust don't need that added stress. So I'll finish out the BCP and start another pill and start lupron on the 12th of Oct so ER/ET first couple of days of nov. It seems so far away but really it is not, so hopefully I'll have some cycle buddies

jdw: I'm waiting to hear back from the clinic on whether they will let me switch from MDL to Luteal Lupron; if they agree, I will cycle in October (probably mid October with retrieval in early November). I really hope that your donor comes through for you!

AFM: No word from the clinic...I left them a message so perhaps I will have something solidified on Monday...if not, then I'll keep pestering them. I am really excited to see that there are so many of us that will be trying again in October/November...this cycle will be ours!!

Hi Ladies

JDW- I hope all goes well with the donor . That is exciting news. I will be starting stims with next so it will be around October 10th.

3rdtime - I agree this will be our time . I hope you get the protocol you want.

Justone - I would wait as well. It would be close. I would have loved it if you did because we would have been so close. It will be here so soon.

CAgirl- I hope all goes well when you meet with your RE.

JP- Any word on what comes next?

I met with RE to sign consents today. So I start testing with OPK tomorrow once spike is spotted I will start estrace 10 days later. So I can't believe that she wants to add additional progesterone and estrogen 6 days after transfer. Has anyone heard of that. Hey I am willing to try anything so I hope it does the trick .

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Samantha
