I have detected mine on day 17 before and I have a regular 28 day cycle and would usually detect O on day 14 thru 16. I remember being so stressed over it then when I thought I wasn't ovulating it detected it. What are you using and how many times per day?

testing with the clearblue easy smiley face ones...and twice a day. i hate how pricey they are so i guess now i might have to buy more!

Hi Ladies

Cagirl - With my last IVF cycle I was so way off. I did the IUI right after. I got AF on Aug 11th and did not do IUI till August 28th so 17 days. I hope you find it soon.

JP- When I did my Lupron cycles I always started stims no earlier than day 4. I hated it as well but it did not seem to oversupress me. They do what fits in to their schedule. I am excited that you are under way . Now that I am not responding as well I start earlier. This cycle I should start on cd2 I call with AF then I go in following day and I believe start stims that night. We will see how things go. I start estrace pills this Saturday. Excited to get things going.

Cagirl - I just used those as well. I thought if I saw one more blank circle I would scream. Those are soo expensive. I hope you see a soon.

cagirl-i used to be a major addict with those and i have done a lot of research on them and sometimes you may not detect LH in the morning but may be detectible later in the day and you may not catch it come night time since your urine has other fluids in it. So best just keep trying anyways since you are probably ovulating anytime even if its not detected by the sticks. I used to use the monitor and the sticks. I hate that monitor i seriously thought that investing the $250 was going to do it for me....Keep us posted!!!!
Sam-when are you thinking your ER is going to be? so you are also just waiting on AF? my ER it should be early Nov.

Sam-Thats awesome that you are not too away from everything! I wish my cycle was shorter. So far I have never made it to Day 5 and I am not counting on it so I am sure it will be Day 3...My RE said if this cycle doesnt work he will change my protocol by adding a medication that you have to mix every night, he doesnt want to have to do it since its more work for me...I responded great to the anagonist protocal just didnt have enough surving embryos based on the eggs taken. First cycle i had 12 eggs and second 13 eggs and both times only 2 good eggs to transfer. I think thats happening is that i respond really well to the meds so as the follicles go my E2 level goes really high so they have to have me trigger and afraid of letting me go another day in case i overstimulate....so its a tough situation as my RE explained just sort of have to keep tweaking my cycles I guess. I feel better that I had my LAP and i know my uterus and everything else was normal, in the mean time until i have a cycle that works will continue to blame in on the lab...
Have you ever done assisted hatching?

I wish more 2, 3, 4th IVF timers would join the group but since the name of the forum says July/Aug it probably wont happen!

hi all! sorry I've been MIA. we were out of town for a bit and then I forgot to pay cable bill. whoops. we had to wait 1 week for them to come and turn it back on. won't let that happen again. anyway..

cagirl-the opk's are such a pain in the ***. I have never had a positive except once after a cycle and even then it was just a pink line, not darker than the control line. I have tested first morning urine, second morning urine, afternoon etc. I guess I just always miss the large quantity in my pee. I also tried the monitor which I thought would be my cure.....yeah, no such luck. miracles do happen!!!
jp glad you got and are on pill. your protocol does sound so long. mine is similar but not as long. At least two weeks of bcp and then I start lupron with the BCP for 1 week, stop BCP and wait for and then start stims with lupron at a lower dose. usually when I stop bcp on sunday I end up starting stims on friday. i had to bump things out a bit this time b/c I'm at a course for the weekend oct24/25 and if I started lupron any earlier than the 12th, I'd be really close to ER that weekend. That is what does suck about boston IVF. Sunday is the magic day to start stuff, I guess they do it for there scheduling purposes.
We were just visiting my brother in law and his family. My niece is 16 months and not into anyone but her mom. She sat on my lap and just was content for like 2 hours as we all talked and my sis in law was so surprised b/c she never goes to anyone. They know what we are doing so she was so supportive in saying that you are meant to be a mom. It was nice, but it killed me. I know I'm meant to be a mom, that is why we have spent our life savings. god I hope it works for us all this time!

should we start another thread? for 2,3,4,5,ivf'rs in oct/nov? Looks like this one is down to just the 4 of us??

Justone-I know what you mean about family members saying stuff, they say it to mean well but it still hurts sometimes.

I really like your idea of starting a 2,3,4,5,ivf'rs in oct/nov. It would be nice to get a few more people who can relate.
