Started my period 2 days ago and got my estimated calander.....start lupron on July 27th, Estimated ER is August 19th and ET is Aug 24th

Anyone else on the same schedule?

Hi Ladies. Mind if I join you! =) I start BCP at the end of this month for 2 weeks and from my calculations, I will have my ER and ET at the end of August. Not ideal for me since I teach but my husband, parents, and sisters said they will help me set my classroom up. I found out on June 26th (the day after my 5th wedding anniversary) that my first IVF cycle was a BFN. I wanted to start my next cycle asap but my RE didn't want too since I had a canceled cycle in May and went into a cycle right away in June. Anywho just wanted to say hi!

I finally finished reading all the threads in this post. . . .bella (shawna) you are too funny. I found myself laughing out loud reading some of your posts. I think you mentioned that you had a ton of blood work done recently. I too had 10 vials of blood taken from me to test for blood clotting, lupus. . I guess to see if everything is okay with immune system. . . I'm not sure of everything tested. But I have to wait 2 weeks to get my results back. Did you find out your results yet?

3timesthecharm, Southhampton, Jdw - I'm sorry to see you girls on this thread. I remember you girls on the April thread. All of us are going to have something in common within the next month or so and that's . =)

i'm not sure what the infusions are...just that a lot of docs do them. i think it's for immunology issues.

Not much to report here...I'm hoping that I get to see DH this weekend. I can hardly believe that July is already 1/3rd of the way done (well, pretty much)...we'll all be starting before you know it!

Even though I've only had one IVF fail (for no reason) my Dr wants to add this as a precaution - I'm all for it - even though it costs a 'few hundred' for each infusion, and I think I'll have to have 2 - 3 (at least) But hey, if it makes this all work - bring it on!!

Jami - Sorry about your BFN - man those suck - I wish only people who shouldnt have kids, get those - unfortunately, that's not the way it is. BUT, I feel this group is a lucky one, so hang on, becasue a buttload of BFP's are heading our way!!! Oh yes, but 12 vials of blood - man, and I hate having my blood taken and I was there forever (or so it seemed hehe) They have my results, but Ijust havent had an appointment with my RE since he's had them. He JUST got back from a conference in Europe <-- Maybe he's now learned new and exciting things to ensure my BFP? Come on.... a girl can dream....

Intralipid infusions - they're not fun is what they are!! Its an ainfusion that I'll have to get, by IV, that is infused over a period of 2 - 3 hours <-- can you saying BORING!? hehehe And yes, cagirl is right, they're for immunology issues. There's a chance that the IVF didn't work because my body saw the embryos as foreign and attacked them - Intralipids will prevent that from happening. They're usually prescribed once yo've had your NK (Natural Killer) cells proven to be high OR you've had a few M/C's or failed IVF's - BUT, my Dr doesnt want to wait to find out..... go Dr go!!

PS - I called the clinic this AM, and am waiting, as I type this, to hear back about my protocol. Come on ******..... call already... LOL

bella!! we're on the same exact schedule. i had my baseline today AND lupron monday my first time on lupron so i'm excited for something new.

ivf #3 - IF i have to go there...will be intralipid so i'll ask you about it lots i'm sure.

Well, just talked to my clinic - I don't have my schedule quite yet - but we're getting there. I wait and start the Suprefact on Saturday (instead of Friday) and then I wait to get my period. I call the clinic on CD1 and we book for CD3. As long as I'm good and suppressed, we start the meds on CD3. <-- Thats why they can't gimme a decent schedule yet, as we dont know for sure when I'll get my period - so they're gonna wait til I call on CD1 to do up a schedule.

Also, just found out my Suprefact is now decreased from what it was last time - and, instead of doing Puregon and Repronex, this time we're doing Gonal F and Luveris. And, one more thing, I'll be doing my first dose of Intralipids on the day of my ER and again when I get my BFP and possibly once more after that (though they say its usually just the twice).

If I can go by what my cycles usually are (they say sometimes being on Suprefact can lengthen it!?) I'll be getting my period about Wednesday or Thursday - so I could be stimming come the 18th or 19th.

OMG, so much more real now......... though I'd love to have a better idea of when my ER and ET will be, I guess I can live with this knowledge - for now hehehe

I would love to join your group. Some of you I remember from the April/May group (3rdtime & Jami). I am sorry you guys have to be doing this again. I actually did my first IVF cycle in May. I am just now getting ready to do my first transfer. I have DOR and my RE was concerned about egg quality so we decided to do genetic testing on our 4 embryos (all 4 made it to day 5 blasts). We just got the results back this week (which it took almost 8 weeks of waiting to get these results) since my ER from my first IVF cycle. 2 of our embryos are normal and 2 are abnormal...which means they are missing a chromosone which would result in miscarriage. I have already been taking my lupron injections for 9 days now and am about to begin my estrogen pills. My transfer is scheduled for the last week in July. I know I am not doing a fresh cycle as you guys are...but I would love to join a group that is closer to where I am in my cycle. Looking forward to chatting with you girls as we all will finally get our . Is anyone doing antagonist protocol? That was my cycle before. By the way...we have an opportunity to find out the sex of our embryos already if you can believe it. The embriologists can tell from the genetic tests. Would you guys want to know or would you want to wait till later on. My RE did say they are both the same sex. It's so exciting. He said with the great quality of these embryos, we have an 80% chance of getting pregnant.

Btw....I have been having really bad headaches/dizziness from the lupron. I didn't take lupron during my cycle before because it was antagonist. Does anyone else get headaches/dizziness? I'm taking 20 units/night.

Bella-your posts crack me up. We need a lot of humor to get us through all these stressfull moments. I waited 8 weeks for a phone call!! Talk about going insane. I would call my nurse every other day leaving frantic messages trying to find out the results of the genetic tests. Probably drove her nuts. But at last here I am....doing FET!! My hobby is watching lots of reality tv. Cake Boss is my new obsession to pass the time (on demand under tv series). It's awesome!!

Mouse - I'm so glad that you came over and posted. It sounds like your FET has an excellent chance of working. I think you were smart to do PGD. A part of me regrets not doing it on our last cycle.

Jami - I'm sorry that your last cycle didn't work out, but glad to see that you're giving it another try.

Congrats to all of the ladies who are about to start their cycles.

AFM - I'm off to see my RE tomorrow as a follow up to my D&C. I hope she has some good info for us about what we might want to consider next. I certainly don't want to go through another m/c, but also am not ready to give up our dream of another baby and little sis or brother for our DS. I'll let you all know tomrrow what my doc had to say.

mouse, I would be out of my mind if I had to wait as long as you did for your ET. As it is the wait to get AF was forever. I lucked out though b/c my cycle is so screwy that I actually got AF like 3 weeks early. We actually were planning that I would start stim injections in early august, just go to show how unexact of a science this is.
For those of you who did intralipid infusions, how did you get to the point that that was presented as an option.?I've never heard of it.
This cycle is stressing me a bit. Like so many out there my insurance doesn't cover diagnosis or treatment so this has been an expensive journey for us. They recommended icsi b/c of the low fertilization rate last time but it is just too expensive for us to add it. I'm really hoping that all of us have this cycle. We deserve it.

Hobbies....exercise and drinking. Drinking definitely out but I'm allowed to exercise as long as I keep heart rate 140 or lower. I run and swim and neither are condusive to a good stress releiving workout when you need to keep heart rate that low. We just had close family visit which we don't see often so my first 4 days of meds really flew by as we were so busy doing "fun" stuff. Cagirl, do you do any crafts or read? that also helps pass the time. I've been reading the true blood books. They are easy fun books which are suprisingly addictive. I think there are like 8 or 9 in the series..

Bella, I take 150 repronex, 225 gonal f, and 5 units of lupron. This is pretty much same stuff I was on last time., except it was bravelle instead of gonal. I seem to respond well so they didn't feel they needed to change much.

Mouse007, did you do CGH? We need to do genetics testing and were considering CGH but I was concerned about how many eggs don't make the freeze/thaw process so we are thinking PGD instead. Can you share the decision making process?
