MachuPicchu - The clinic I go to does the same thing. But... I am having blood work monitoring done from a different clinic. They will call and let you know if you want to.

Your brave, not sure I would hold out after the beta.
Last time I was glad I knew the outcome, cuz it woud have been really hard to hear that news at work. This time, I am going to do a day-by-day.
No surprises. So far, seeing the BFN isn't bothering me as I do know it's too early. Just hope this cramping is good and not AF trying to rear her ugly head. Although it would be early for her to do so.

mschalla: I am always amazed to see reports of how many have been retrieved, fertilized and how many make it to freeze. If you go back and look at other reports from the women who have posted here, it's weird to see how so many go down to so few. In the end, it really only matters how many made it to fertilization and so on...

This whole process never ceases to amaze me. I have scoured the posts by so many women to see if I could do a mental statistic of which day is better for transfer - day 3 or day 5 - I guess since my first IVF they did a 5 day and this time a 3 day. And since it didn't work for me last time, I was trying to see if day 3's were better. But, you know, it really sort of evens out.
The sad part of all the process is someone has to be in the unlucky %. I just for the rest of us that remains, that we are in the good %. However, since I am in PUPO with 3, 1 will be awesome and if all 3 make it, I told my DH that he is getting us a nanny!! hahaha

Carry on my wayward friends. Keeping us all in my thoughts. Now, if I could just do that and work productively - that would be great!

Take care!

Thank you for your kind words. I haven't talked to the dr. yet because they won't confirm the loss until I have a blood test tomorrow. I don't know if stress can cause it because the day before I started spotting my mother had knee replacement surgery and that night my dad had a stroke. So I was pretty stressed out the day I started spotting. I will talk to him about it.

Kaza - I'm so sorry. I hope you got to freeze some so you can try again.

I am going insane!! My clinic always calls me by now and of course the day of my actual beta, nothing. I called and the nurse said she is waiting from a call from the dr. and then she will call me with my results. I hope this isn't bad news. I have been for good numbers and they need to call me already

Well it's a for us.

Talked with the doctor and he's ready for us to move on to IVF #2. We had such a great embryo. My left ovary sits really high so he hoping to go in and see if theres anything he can do to move it to get the eggs for #2

Our RE has a shared rick program the next cycles are at no charge except meds. So we are looking into March of 2010.

So confused???

Well I just got my call and the nurse said my beta is at 37.3?? WTH. My estrogen is at 1200 and my progesterone is over 20, those numbers went up, but not my beta. I go in Friday for more blood. I don't know what to think, it's not bad, but it's not good. It's nothing! I don't know what to think, has anyone heard of this happening??

Kaza & tbdolphin - I am so sorry ladies. I understand the unbearable pain.... to me it was as if I lost my little ones. I feel so empty... even now. And moving forward is of course the only option... but it is so scary. I know I don't want to go through this heartache ever again. We are going to be the greatest mommies.... our little ones are going to be so loved! We will get through this, and our dreams will become reality for us. Cry and grieve... it is okay. But we WILL get through this.

Nicoleg- Hon I am so sorry you are going through this stress. Maybe it is twins.... miracles happen every day. My RE said sometimes we put too much into HCG levels.... they are only a guideline not a rule. And they can do crazy things! They go up and down sometimes.... You are in my thoughts. I am going to be popping in checking on you.

kaza - I am so sorry to hear the news. I am thinking of you!

Drag0nflygirl - Wow, you really have the bad luck with posts disappearing. To have all 7 fertilize too is great news! Congrats for being PUPO with triplets!!!! How long do you have to wait until beta?

Dink2D - I am so sorry. I was really rooting for your baby and that everything would turn out. I will be thinking of you and I wish you tons of luck on your next cycle, which is going to be the one. You have 10 totsicles!

Melissa - That is great news on the ultrasound. It must have been great to see your little one's heartbeat. I am so excited for you. I think you will be one of the first of us to have your baby! Let us know how sharing the news with your family goes!

Amy - Congrats you are PUPO with twins! How exciting. I am sure the 11th seems ages away, but soon you will hear the official news that you are pregnant. that your embabies burrow in deep for the next 9 months!

sweetie1680 - I am so sorry to hear that things are so stressful for you. I agree with what everyone else has said, I think you just need to really stress to them how difficult this is for you and how you need them to be considerate of your feelings. As for the 5 day transfer, it could actually work in your favor. Many RE's prefer to do the 5 day transfer because they can tell better at that point which ones are the strongest. However if it really was just because they have too many transfers, that is BS. I wish you the best and hope that you see your BFP!

Joy - A BFP!!!! That is excellent. You will have to let us know the official beta when you go in. When is that again? I am so excited for you!

Charlotte - Congrats on a great 2nd beta! Do you have to go in again for a 3rd or is your next appointment your ultrasound? I laughed at you wanting to eat nothing but cheese. My thing has been celery with ranch dip as well as green beans. I can't get enough of them! Is it too early for cravings? That is what they feel like cuz my mouth waters when I think of them haha!

MachuPicchu - How did the first beta go today???? Hoping that you got good news!

cwall - I am right there with you with already gaining. I have already gained 2 lbs as well! It just seems so early, but I know I, like you, have been drinking more things with calories, like more milk. It will all be worth it right? Congrats on hearing the heartbeat! That must have been an amazing sound. I cannot wait to hear the same thing soon.

martroy! It sounds like you may have a BFP on your hands! Hoping that the line continues to darken and you get a great number at your beta!

TxTinkerbell - I am so excited for you!!!! TWINS! That makes 2 sets already. I will be that everything continues to go well and you will be holding your little ones in 9 months!

shib! I wish you the best and hope that you will see your BFP soon!

hopeful2bPG! The 2ww is definitely not fun, but you will make it through and see your BFP soon!

Taylor20 - I am so sorry to hear your news. I have been keeping you in my thoughts. I wish you all the luck with your next cycle because you will be pregnant again!

NicoleG68 - I am sorry that all of this is happening to you and there is uncertainty right now. I will be thinking of you and hoping that everything turns out for the best!

CarrieAnnR - Congrats on the twins! Man that seems to be a trend. I am hoping all of you will bring luck! I am sorry that your nausea is so bad though I hope it gets better.

Nicole - It is so great to hear from you. I think of you everyday and I think it is great how positive and supportive you are of everyone.

LizzyM - I definitely hear you on the naps! I wish I could take one in the middle of the day, I have just been so exhausted.

Mommyinny - good luck on your ultrasound. It will be so great for you to hear their heartbeats. Such an amazing thing.

RBH08 - Good luck at your beta. I will be thinking of you and hoping you see that BFP!

mschalla - 25 eggs is excellent! I will be hoping that you do not get a bad case of OHSS and can move forward with your transfer! I also think that 10 eggs that fertilized is a great number.

tdbdolphin - I am so sorry. I am thinking of you and hoping that your next cycle will bring you the BFP you have been waiting for.

AFM - So I had my technically 4th beta yesterday which was 15dp5dt. I normally would have found out yesterday afternoon, but of course the lab was having problems processing, so they ran behind, so I had to wait until this morning to hear the number. It seems like this whole process is just a bunch of waiting. So at 10dp5dt, my number was 204, so doing the math of doubling every 2-3 days I was figuring in the 1200-1500 range. I was surprised to hear 3,055. Does that seem high to anyone else? So of course now DH and I are seriously thinking more and more that it could be twins, but I know beta numbers aren't always an indication, it could be 1 strong one....but that just seems like such a large jump. Believe me, we would be thrilled! So now I go back Monday or Tuesday for b/w and u/s. The nurse said don't count on hearing a heartbeat, it is planned moreso to check for sacs and make sure they are in the uterus and to rule out ectopic. So now I can't wait until then and am worried we will get bad news because things just seem to be going tooo well....well except for that we now probably have to get a new car because DH's has a cracked headgasket....yeah not cheap to fix and was totally hoping we could get by another year without needing a new one. But hey, things could be a ton worse. Anyway I am for everyone and just wanted to say good luck to all those waiting for news this week.

That sounds pretty twin-ish to me! At 12dp5dt, mine was 392 and at 15dp5dt, it quadrupled to 1619, and I thought that was high (we only transferred one embie though)!

It sounds like a definite possibility!

kaza - You are still in my thoughts. You were cloests to me I and my cycle so I am feeling for you in a very different way that I have felt for the others who have received sad news.

Drag0nflygirl - Thinking of you and your PUPO with trips. I think I would go crazy, not to mention employ a nanny and house keeper and cook.

Dink2D - I am so sorry for your loss. I don’t know what to say other than you have 10 snow babies ready and waiting when you are ready!

Amy - the 11th, So sure you are going crazy right about now…keep us posted praying for high #’s on your BETA

sweetie1680 - I have cried every time I have read over your post. I am so sorry for all that you are going through. Like the others before have said a 5 day transfer is better in the long run. The other crap about scheduling is just Bull you know what.

Charlotte - Funny about the cheese…another funny thing, I myself happen to be lactos intolerant unless I am pregnant, how crazy is that?

MachuPicchu - How did the first beta go today???? Hoping that you got good news!

martroy- Sounds like BFP to me. Let us know how your Beta goes.

TxTinkerbell - Twins are the coolest thing ever…I am married to an identical Twin and it is WONDERFUL to hear all their “growing up” stories. Please keep us posted

shib! Keeping you in my prayers.

hopeful2bPG! The 2ww is totally crazy. I was not planning on testing but I did got my BFP and I pray you too will get yours

Taylor20 - Still thinking of you and praying for you.

NicoleG68 - Try and stay positive, and do good things for yourself. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

CarrieAnnR -TWINS…totally cool. Everything I have read says that all symptoms of pregnancy are more intense the more you happen to be carrying

LizzyM - NAPS are a life saver. I am sure for me right now it is just all the EXTRA hormones that I am dumping in my body, but naps are so important. For those of you who work and need a nap…her is an idea. Bring a pillow to work, eat your lunch at your desk in 10-15 min, then put your pillow on you desk and snooze for the rest of your lunch break. Set a timer and put a not on your office door. I also had a friend who had one of those air beds with the auto inflate. She would inflate it while eating her lunch and then crash for the rest of her break. Just a thought.

Mommyinny - Hearing the heartbeat is the most amazing thing. Call ahead and see if they will record it for you if you bring a CD? That way you can listen to it any time you want.

RBH08 - Praying for big #’s on your Beta

mschalla - 10 embabies Grow babies Grow.

AFM- Other than feeling totally wiped out all the time everything is going really well. My first beta is in the morning 10dp5dt. Early in my cycle I had been doing my monitoring at my OB’s office here in town and they neglected to sent results to my RE. As a result my RE will no longer allow me to do any monitoring from out of town so in the morning I have to make the 3.5 hour drive to my RE. I will let you know how things go. I am sure we will see a BFP…however I am curious as to how high or low the # will be. We put 2 blast back so twins is a real possibility.
Each of you are on my thoughts and prayers
God Bless
Joy
