Thunder & Mochamom2b!

Gosh.... so many of us are on the same schedule! That is great!

I had my mock transfer today. It was a little tricky.... he had to use a long stiff catheter and it was pretty painful. But I survived! And I got my calendar on paper. So I now have the day by day schedule. It is just so hard to believe.... I have been dealing with IF for 10 years now and in just over a month I could be pregnant! WAIT.... I WILL be pregnant! It is just something I thought would never happen to me, so I am having a hard time wrapping my head around everything!

How is everyone else doing during this wait?

Nicole-Glad your mock transfer went ok. You have a great positive attitude.

I had my hysteroscopy yesterday and it was no big deal. The doctor told me that's b/c I'm used to people sticking me w/ needles and harvesting my eggs. Ha! Everything checked out ok, so I see my RE this Friday to finalize the plan. Hopefully all my blood tests/levels are ok.

Our group sure is growing! I am so glad that I found this forum, it is nice to have support of people who know what I am going through. I got the results of my blood tests back and the liver function levels are in the normal range, so I was given the ok to schedule my sonohysterogram which I will try to do tomorrow.

It has been a tough week. I found out that my cousin and his girlfried are expecting. It is hard to hear of those "oops we are pregnant but weren't trying" scenerios. It just reminds you of everything we put our bodies through to get that while others don't even try. I try to look on the positive side though. When I finally get that , I will appreciate it even more and enjoy every minute of it.

to all those who are new since I last posted and good luck to everyone as we all start our cycles!

to all the new soon to be mommies!!

Nicole - Glad to hear you made it thru the TT - I am a little worried now that it is going to hurt?? I guess I did not realize it was a painful thing. I am going in tomorrow - we are at the same clinic as you so we are making the drive down tomorrow.

Hopeful10 - I know how hard it is to hear someone close to you (or even someone not so 'close') who becomes pregnant - especially if they are not trying. Hang in there your time is coming.

Wish me luck tomorrow!!

Now don't let my TT scare you! He had to use a bigger catheter than normal because of the curve of my uterus. My bladder wasn't full enough... WHAT! LOL. So when we do the ET, I need to be wiggling! He said that will help.

Good luck tomorrow Newroad! It will be easy! Make sure you have a full bladder!

Nicole, I' m sorry to hear that your trial was a little more difficult. Hopefully next time a fuller bladder like he said will help make it a bit easier!

newroad, like Nicole said, it can be a bit tougher for some than others based on your circumstances. I have read through a lot of posts and for some, it does not really hurt while others have a tougher time. It can depend on if you have a tilted uterus, how full the bladder is, etc. In my situation, quite honestly it did not feel any different than the "fun" annual exams we go to. But again, everyone is different.

It is hard to get the full bladder thing and get to the "wiggling" point as Nicole's doctor told her. Quite honestly I was afraid I was going to go right on the table if it was too full haha. To make it worse, as soon as I was on the table, the nurse came in and said the dr had just started an exam on someone else and hopefully I was not too uncomfortable. So I had to wait another 10 - 15 minutes until the doctor was available, that was probably the toughest part for me, I really was wiggling by that time.

At least we go through a "trial" run though, because when that day comes, hopefully the doctor will know what your personal situation is and how to make you a bit more comfortable (as comfortable as we can be) for the process, which is important.

I can't believe how real this is all becoming. Like Nicole said, all these years of hoping to see that and that day could, sorry will, be here soon for all of us!

Hi Ladies!
I am very excited to see a lot of us on (about) the same schedule! This will be very interesting and one pretty good hormonal October forum! he he he But, I can't wait!

I am just about to start my AF, but do not have the full flow as of yet, so I can't count it as day 1. So, I am really close to starting BCP which in my mind is a start of our IVF cycle! Yipeee!

I would also agree with the other ladies on the SIS, it is not painful for everyone. For some it is, but I think it also depends on your pain tolerance. When I've done my HSG and SIS, they were no big deal. I've never done the trial transfer so I might be singing a different song in a week (haha), but for me the pain was no worse than my usual AF cramps pain. I don't remember needing to go in with a full bladder though. So, maybe it is all different and depends on your uterus shape.

I have my preliminary dates, but now really excited to get my full day-by-day sheet! I don't go back into the RE consult until Sept 10th though. I hope all goes well and we get a full green light!

Hi Ladies!

Christin2084-glad you got your dates! You are almost on the same schedule I am!

Has everyone updated their dates on the calendar? I haven't checked yet.... But it is pretty cool!

I have a very high pain tolerance. My TT was only painful because he had to use a stiff tube and really push on me to get my cervix to move. It was just really tight in there. My insides are a mess because of my endo.... so it is never easy. He said the tube was poking me inside, which is why it was painful. I had really no lining at the time because of the lupron I have been on for 3 months, so nothing to cushion. Does that make sense? So don't let my TT worry you.... I am not the norm. I have had IUI's before where they insert the cath. into your uterus too, and didn't feel a thing. That is how it should be.
