Ugh, so my stomach is getting "tough". Giving myself the menopur/gonal shot tonight and the needle WOULD NOT go in. I had to try 3 different places and even then I had to push harder than normal.

Is this what's going to happen to my butt with the progesterone shots? I can just picture DH trying to stab me with the needle and it bouncing off my backside.

On a side note: Fertility drug pharmacy would call local pharmacy in your area and transfer prescription if you are short of any. They will only deliver next day, unless they transfer to a local pharmacy. Or see what your RE can do to help. They can call in for favors too. Good luck hon! I am so thinking of you!! sara4: Yeah! I gave up trying to get along with my SIL. She gets intimidated by me and is just always so mean not only to me, but to her own brother (my DH). My MIL treats her like she is 12 and always makes it that it is never her fault. The worst thing, she treats her own mother like crap. Drives me crazy. But, I do get along fine with my MIL. As long as SIL is not around, we get along very well. If SIL is there, I am outnumbered and don't get invited to little shopping trips or anything. It's so sad that it is pathetic. LOL. So yeah, I gave up trying. I need my energy elsewhere.

AFM: OK, so I started this whole SIL ranting. LOL. My BIL came over for dinner and told us the SIL side of the story when she had a melt down last weekend. She was sreaming like an idiot for no reason (and she was completely wrong). So she lied and told my BIL how I yelled at her (and I didn't even say a thing) and my DH is the worst brother ever. My BIL was like "her story just didn't seem right". Ohh, she drives me bonkers. But, she want to crash and live with us for three months in the spring when she does her rotation a few miles from where we live. Then, we'll be the best ever. Sighh!
Ohh yeah, so she lived with us a few years ago as we tried to help her out. We collected $150 in rent. I told my DH that we will give her every penny back if she stayes the whole 9 months with us like she planned. Umm nope. COuldn't live with "my" rules so she moved out 5 months later with my in-laws to eat their food and drink their wine. Ohh yeah, the rules she couldn't deal with.... 1) turn the lights off when you come home last, 2) take your shoes off, 3) no shoes/high heels on the hard wood floor, 4) no shoes on the carpet upstairs... yeah, no freaking shoes in the house! I had my little nieces come and stay with us often so I was germo-phobic and wanted the floors clean... so yeah, couldn't deal with two things... shut the lights off and don't wear shoes in the house. LOL. I was so happy she moved out!

OK, I am sorry... I am venting again. hahahha

As for those hormones....DH and I own a restaurant/sports bar where we pretty much live! With a staff of 40 it's easy to get annoyed by people and their lack of doing their job, but man, talk about a short fuse!!! I was on everyone tonight!! Granted we were packed all night and I'm used to looooong hours, I ended up in the office crying and angry when I usually can deal with it all pretty darn easy. DH rescued me and sent me home. IVF 1 was not like this for me, should of known better than to think I was off the hook!!!

I get up at o'dark thirty again tomorrow to drive 2.5 hours for my u/s and b/w. I will insist on #'s this time as I was never given # of follicles or sizes the last cycle. I have this idea that I'll go in and be told there's nothing there, that my ovaries have decided to go on strike or are laughing at my attempts to make them actually do some work. How's that for a mental image, ladies...laughing ovaries? Ah, it's 11:30 again...I must get to bed before my odd humor shows itself.

Bino - Lol about dh. That sounds like something I'd probably get my dh to do just to gross him out. They told me that they were going to lower me to 150 ui yesterday, but then since I wasn't showing any follicles, they decided to keep me at the 225ui. They said they'd adjust meds if needed again on Monday. I really realy hope you trigger tomorrow.

ReadyinKC - Seriously, I can get obsessive about checking forums. I think we all kind of feel that way sometimes. I blame it on my introverted dh.

OnLoanFromAbove - I think you're so brave to do this alone. I love seeing confident women. That would have really annoyed me too. The nice thing about my REs office is they all know me when I walk in.

Thunder - We have someone like your SIL in my family and it's insane how much her mother excuses her behavior. It's nice when other siblings can see how they really are.

AFM: No real news other than the insomnia last night SUCKED!!!!!! I got the call this morning to let me know how my octuplets are doing, the lady at the lab is so great!!! They call every morning between 730 and 8am. So I have 4 four cell babies 3 three cell babies and one runt at 2 cells, but I didint lose any last night so that makes me happy. cant wait to get 2 of those little buggers back where they belong on tuesday!!

Gypsie, Awhh, that’s so sweet! Baby T! I hope he snuggles up nice & tight & makes a great home for the next 9 months!! Is that the only times you did acupuncture this cycle? Just curious, Im doing it this cycle too, and was wondering just how soon before & after they mean.

Hope2bsoon, my first IVF was not this emotional for me either. I’ve caught myself getting so worked up over pretty much nothing and then balling my eyes out. The first week of Lupron was the worst, its gotten better ever since starting stims on the 31st. I think some of it is the anticipation of getting the ball rolling a second time. Hang it there! Good luck with ER tomorrow!

Lovebug, what great news!!!!!!! I wish I made the switch to Dr. Starks! Is there more than one lab tech (embryologist in the lab? Is she the one that calls everyday? This cycle Im going to request someone from the lab call with my fert report. Since last cycle TWO nurses call me with TWO DIFFERENT reports!! Oh wait, no one called me! I had to call them! UGGG!! I could’ve just strangled them! Anyway, Im so happy all your embabies are doing well! Does Starks always do 5dt? It doesn’t even seem a goal of Dr, Stewart.

AFM, Im going to just listen to my RE & go tomorrow morning for bw & us. I figured Im already taking 0 dose of Gonal tonight, so its not like they can reduce that any. DH & I were awake from 3:30-4:30 this morning discussing it. We both feel I definitely need to stop stressing & obsessing! And just let the professional do his job. I suppose Im ok with our decision.
So today I'll be drinking lots of gatorade & water & enjoying this absolutely beautiful, sunny, warm Nov Sat!

For those that have had retrieval before-question-how bad is the pain after? Can you take pain medication? (other than tylenol that doesn't work for me). I meant to ask at the dr. this morning but forgot.

Stacy, YAY!! Congrats on the triggering tonight! You will be alittle sore & uncomfortable after ER, but not too bad! This is when you take advantage of DH & make him do everything I think it varies alot with each person though. And the trigger shot itself, doesnt really feel any different than the others! Good Luck!
