Rachel - thanks for the info on what to expect at the ET. I will plan to have my husband there! Do you know if they give you muscle relaxers as a standard, or is that something that I have to ask for? If I can get it, I'd prefer to!
My ET is scheduled for 9:30 am PST tomorrow, but they did tell me that they'll call me in the morning to let me know if we will push it out to Day 5 transfer, in which case it will be rescheduled for Wednesday. Has this happened to anyone else?

Maple- My RE always prescribed the muscle relaxers, I never asked. It really helps relax. Also my RE always schedules me for a 3 day Transfer first, then if I still have a lot of embryo's that look good they'll push me out to 5DT. Let me know what they decide for your transfer. =) SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF US!

Well, I had just started my hour and a half drive for my Day 3 transfer, when I got a call from my RE's office that I am being pushed out to Day 5! She said that as of today, I have 5 at 8-cells, and 3 at 6-and 7- cells. I think this is a good thing, and am just praying that the little guys keep on growing!
Rachel - how are you feeling after your transfer?

Yeah Maple! So excited for your 5DT. Hope you didn't drive to far. We transfered 2 blasts. My RE was not comfortable with 3 due to my size and the fact that he felt the blasts looked really good. He isn't sure on how many will make it to freeze but will call tomorrow or Wednesday and let me know. Beta is 10/16.
Can't waiit to hear how your transfer goes......Any bloating after the retrieval?

Prince Jolsin - thanks for the well wishes! I had only 5 follicles on day 5 of my stims, so it's very possible that a bunch more catch up. And again, all you need is one, right?
![]() Hopeful - hope all is well with you. Let us know how you're doing. Rachel - I'm looking at it as a good thing that your RE recommended only 2 blasts...that just means they looked really good, right? That is how many my husband and I are planning to transfer on Day 5. If we had gone in today, we were planning to push for transferring 3. As I've been puttering around all day (I've taken the week off of work), I've been feeling some mild cramping - similar to the cramps I get when I'm ovulating. Not sure if that is from the retrieval on Friday, but I'm glad to get another couple days to let it subside before the transfer. By the way, I was checking on some of the other threads and found this helpful breakdown of what is/will be happening is our bodies as of the day of transfer. Thought you mind fild it interesting! This is what happens in a 3dt : 1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing 2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst 3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day 4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining 5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining 6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining 7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells 8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood 9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops 10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops 11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT This is what happens in a 5dt : 0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst 1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day 2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining 3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining 4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining 5dpt.. Hi ladies!
Just wanted to update you all. I did get to have my transfer yesterday.!!! No fluid found!!! Thank you all for your good thoughts and wishes. We had 2 great quality blasts make it. All the rest didn't make it so we had none to freeze. That's ok though, bc we have faith that these 2 are going to make it! I've been trying to keep myself distracted. I've been feeling ok, just a little crampy and sorry if this is TMI, but the lack of water and all these meds and so much sitting around really has me constipated... which is incredibly uncomfortable. I've never experienced this so its very distracting, among other words . Other than that, I'm sitting around and catching up on TiVo, long overdue phone calls and various other tasks to keep me distracted. My in-laws were up for dinner last night and that was fun. My dh is so excited, he's told nearly his whole family, so it was fun to get to describe the process and see everyone truly rooting for us. A good support system means so much. Eileen - you're probably halfway there! The next few days are going to fly by! Hope you are feeling well and the shots are causing too much discomfort. Rachel - so glad you're ET went well. Welcome to the 2ww. Its nice in the sense that the hardest part (all the tests, shots, most of the pills) are over and now we are just waiting and praying. But patience has never really been my thing, so I hope you are able to rest and relax a little more than me! Maple - Congrats! You've got a good number of eggs. You'll have lots of blasts waiting for you on day 5. When's your next appt? Thanks for that chart!! Its good to know exactly what's supposed to be happening each day. Best thoughts and prayers to all of you! - Lisa

Yay Lisa! Congrats on your transfer yesterday! I have such a great feeling about BFPs on this thread!
Unfortunately, I am right there with you on the constipation. When I went in for my last u/s last Wednesday, my RE asked how my bowel movements were, and I got so paranoid that she could see stuff on the ultrasound, but then I realized she hadn't started with the wand yet! I'm usually a very regular person (sorry if TMI), so this part is so uncomfortable! I joke with my husband that I'm about ready to smoke a cigarette and drink a big cup of coffee just to kickstart the pipes...even though I don't smoke and I'm not big on the caffeine! I too am catching up on TiVo, and am liking the time away from work. Which reminds me of a question: how much time is really ideal to take after the ET? Saying prayers for everyone tonight!

Lisa, so good to hear from both of you. I am right there with you and Lynn on the constipation. Today I feel much better then yesterday but I desperately need to go. I know very much TMI but we're all in the same boat here. NOT FUN!
Lynn & Lisa- What are you plans for the 2WW? How long are you staying off work? I'm stayiNg home until my beta next Friday. I'm planning on laying very low, staying in bed the next few days and then staying on the couch for the remainder.

Lisa~ awesome!! Sounds like you are going to be the first to have your
! So happy!Maple...I forgot..yesterday was day 7 of my stims..BUT you are right, only takes one! It is 6:45 am right now and I am about to go for b/w and u/s! Hope evreything goes my way.Rachel~hope you are doing well, too! As far as the constipation..I eat a huge bowl of Fiber One ceral (the plain) with skim and some strawberries every morning. It actually does help because there is like 18 grams of fiber per serving, so I eat a little more than the regular serving size. That helps me stay semi-regular with the meds. Even though I feel like I look like a balloon! \ Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Your friend, Eileen ![]() |

Hi ladies. Ok, so my wonderful husband did some research because I had reached my limit (literally). He found that there are a number of prenatal vitamins (one of which is Citranel) that include 50mg docusate sodium which is a stool softener. Docusate sodium is the same thing as Doculax which you can get in 50mg tabs. I took one last night (after dh ran to the store for me at 10:30pm bless him) and feel so so much better already. When my nurse called this morning, I asked if it was ok and she said she thought it was just fine. Just a little hint if it gets really uncomfortable ladies. I'm not going to take it unless absolutely necessary (I'm using preventative methods like fiber and leafy greens, etc.). But if its in PRENATALS it can't be bad right?
![]() As for me, I'm planning on staying low (relaxing on the couch) until Sunday. I do have to go to work for like 2 hours on Thursday for a meeting that I cannot reschedule, but that's it. Back to work next Monday. My nurse said that I should move around a little, that the blood flow is good, but that keeping myself as stress free was the most important. She even said I could go back to work as early as tomorrow, but I'm just not willing to risk it. I always get very stressed at work. I just wish I could make sure I was doing the right thing. I already feel like I haven't been on "bedrest." My dh has to work so I've been getting up and down to get drinks, let the dogs in and out, take showers, use the restroom..... I feel guilty every time I get up. I'm just leaving it up to faith. God has brought us this far and if it is His will, it will be done. In His time. Which is always the hardest part of course. That seems to get me through all of this. God bless girls! - Lisa
