hopeful- Tell your husband thank you for all the research he did, what a sweetie.

Maple- How did the transfer go today?

AFM- I'm going crazy. My beta is next Friday and it feels so far away. I'm extra nervous because this is our last try. I'm just laying low and not doing much. I took 3 weeks off of work so that's been kinda of nice but now I'm wishing I had that distraction.

How is everyone else hanging in there?

Hi friends! Hope everyone is doing well. I had my Day 5 transfer yesterday, and oh what an experience! They gave us a picture of the 2 embabies, so that was really neat! I got a little nervous that the dr was having a hard time getting the catheter to curve with my uterus...I have a bit of a u-shape at the end of my cervix that the catheter needs to maneuver through. After a few minutes, they were able to do it. However, when the lab person checked the catheter under the microscope, she saw that the 2 embabies were still in there! The dr says that this can happen, and doesn't affect the outcome of the procedure. So, we went through the process again, and this time the embabies were not left in the catheter. Looks like they were playing hard to get the first time!

One thing I haven't found out yet is if any of the other embryos made it to freeze. I was expecting to get a call from either the lab or my dr's office, but nothing yet. Hmm - I'll call tomorrow.

Eileen - thx for the Fiber One tip...I feel like a whole new person today! How are you doing on your stims? You must be getting close to ER?

Rachel and Lisa - How are you doing in your 2ww? I was laying down for most of yesterday after the transfer, but have been walking around more today. I took the puppy for a walk and it felt so nice to get outside and enjoy the fresh air! The dr yesterday said that it's good to do whatever it is that makes you feel un-stressed...Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who starts to get stressed out when I sit for too long, thinking about all the productive things I could be doing!

Maple: What a story for transfer day! But I'm so glad it was a success in the end. And now you enter the wait with Rachel and I.

So for us in the 2ww: How are you doing? I believe I am reaching the crazy-mode breaking point. I don't know about you girls, but did you experience the obvious shift in the time continuum when the entire world slows down and each day becomes 472 hours long? Or is that just me?? I've had enough of TiVo and small tedious projects to keep me occupied. Luckily it is finally Friday and my dh will be home all weekend with me. We are keeping it low key, cleaning the house and watching movies. Maybe taking the dogs in the pool. I really really wish I could just fast forward to next week. I'm dying here.

As of now I am 5dp5dt and I feel.....nothing. Well, that's not true but I don't feel much different. I've been a litle quesy and I've had a terrible headache for 3 days. Maybe a few twinges and cramps, but I don't know if that's wishful thinking. The headache is pretty annoying though, since I'm too afraid to take anything. It's not at migraine status but hanging out just below. I usually get a migraine the day before my cycle starts so.... I've got myself all worried. I'm trying to tell myself that its the meds.

How about you girls? What, if any, are your symptoms so far?

And what meds are you still taking? I'm doing PIO (which is going relatively well I must say, I had a much much harder time with Menopur), Estrogen patches, baby aspirin, prenatals and a new form of metformin. I know that people can get headaches from a drop in Estrogen, but since I have estrogen being pumped into my blood stream from these lovely patches, I'm a little confused. Ah.... the struggles of IVF.

Ok, I'll stop blabbing now. My husband is on his way home from work and I'm thrilled. I really need some human interaction. I hope you ladies are doing well and are surviving this painstakingly slow part of the journey.

Eileen: Now you know what to look forward to! How are you doing??

Oh, and one more question. I've been reading all these other boards and was wondering where you ladies stood on the:

To POAS or not to POAS debate? We are undecided and I was just wondering what you ladies were doing.

Maple- that was crazy about your transfer. Mostly the part about the embryo's! After every transfer they always go and check and now 3 times later, that was never an issue. Good thing they check!!!!!

Hopeful I am right there with you. I'm going completely nuts! I don't know if next Friday will ever get here. I've had enough TV, I'm about to start a new book so maybe that will help with the rest of the day.

I feel nothing as well. I feel totally normal. The last two times I had very short lived BFP's but I did have some cramping, maybe it's still to early. We over think everything in this process. I am going nuts though....

I think I am going to POAS next starting next Wednesday that would be 9DP5DT but no sooner. I didn't POAS with my FET and it was really neat when the RE called with the suprise that I was pregnant, I was shocked and it was fun. However, after I lost that one and was in my 2ww last time, I had to POAS. I had a very very faint line 2 days pre Beta and it gave me a little hope. My husband is going to be out of town (leaving Thursday) we find out Friday and for this time I want us both to have some sort of a clue before he leaves. Long answer to a short question.

Good morning ladies,

Alright, 6dp5dt. I'm officially in the 2nd half of the 11 day waiting torture. I woke up this morning and I'm having some cramping, which is feeling very AF like, but no spotting. I know some people say that's a good sign, but I don't know. It's so hard to stay optimistic when the hours drag on.

As for the POAS debate, we are on the fence. I of course desperately want to. I always feel like the more information I have, the better. Maybe it would help me feel a little more prepared for the "phone call" next Thursday. But, my dh heard the nurses say we should wait because you can get false negatives and we don't want to be disappointed for nothing. Or the opposite, get excited but then have the numbers come back too low, indicating a chemical or something. I don't know though, it's so stressful!

It's Saturday morning, I'm desperately hoping for a quick moving, activity filled weekend. But I've already been up for two hours and I'm sure dh will sleep for another 3 (he's the classic sleep til noon on the weekends kinda guy). So here I am again.... waiting and waiting.

Hope you ladies have a good weekend!

Maple and Eileen, where are you? Everything going ok??

- Lisa

Eileen - good luck on your ET tomorrow! Let us know how it goes for you.

Today is 3dp5dt for me, and the overanalyzing of every twinge and cramp has begun! I told myself I wouldn't get to this, but I just can't help it! We're still not sure about whether I'm going to POAS or not...I have a feeling I'm going to, just so that I am somewhat prepared either way.

Hope you are all doing well!

Eileen: How did transfer go today? Are you snuggled in for your 2ww? I hope it all went well and you are resting with your little embies. How many did you decide to transfer?

Maple and Rachel: One more day down. I think this has been the hardest part. Having no new information is so frustrating.

AFM: I'm going back to work tomorrow. Thank goodness for the distraction! I don't feel so ready though. While I didn't stay off my feet most of the weekend, I still took it very very easy, being very careful not to lift, push or pull heavy items and sitting whenever I felt tired. (Which I do, all the time) I think the bedrest has knocked my energy level down to nil. Because of so little energy, my house is still a mess. My dh was darling enough to go grocery shopping and do the dishes, but the laundry is a whole different story. The mountain is growning!!

I think I'm beginning to hit my limit with the PIO shots. My "cheeks" are getting super sore. The shots themselves don't hurt, the ache afterward is the difficult part.

We bought pregnancy tests today. I'm willing myself not to test until at least Wednesday (10dp5dt) and the day before my beta. I'd like to just wait until Thursday morning before my beta. Although I know the results don't always coincide, I'd like to have some sort of heads up. My clinic tests at 11dp5dt, which is 16dpo? (if that math is right and those ideas are comparable) Seems like other women get their betas earlier than that.

How about you ladies? Rachel, I know yours is Friday, just a day after me, but what about everyone else? When will you find out?

Praying for all four of us to be !

Lots of love and prayers to you in your dreaded 2ww.

-- Lisa

Lisa- I broke down and POAS today. There was a faint 2nd line. I wish I didn't do it now I'm a nervous reck that there won't be a line tomorrow (especially with my chem. history). I am trying to be postive at the fact that there was a line this early though.... STAY STRONG TO NOT POAS, I was strong my first FET but after that I've realized I have no patience anymore.....

I hear you on the PIO my butt is hurting. I'm no developing the scar tissue back there where it gets more painful to give them. My husband is going out of town for work this week THUR-SUN so I have to give these big mothers shots to myself. Do any of you give them to yourselves? I know some people do but I am scared.

Praying everyone else is okay! I'm so excited for us

Rachel - 2 lines is 2 lines! Just keepi thinking that as each day passes, that line will get darker!

Lisa - I'm with you on probably not being able to hold out, and will probably test on Wed or Thurs.

My Beta is scheduled for Friday 10/16, which would only be 9dp5dt...does that sound too soon? if I count from the day of ER, that would be 14 days, so maybe it's not too soon?

I don't do the PIO shots...I was deathly afraid of the needle, but was prepared to do it. Until they told me that I had the option of Endometrin, which are the capsules that you insert vaginally, and they don't make too much of a mess. Onthing thing is that I have to do them 3 times a day, but I was willing to do that over the shots after they told me the effectiveness was just the same.

I'm so anxious to test...eek!

Eileen - how are you doing?

Oh my gosh, if you ladies break down and POAS, I wish you all the best. I am testing again in the morning and hoping for a darker line......So impressed by your strength!

MAPLE- I transferred the same day as you and have my Beta the same day as you so I guess it's possible to have a line already.

Rachel - my transfer was actually on 10/7, since I was pushed out to Day 5. But, it looks like we both have our betas on Friday. So, does it seem too early to have my beta at 9dp5dt? (I've now updated my signature to show my actual ET date)

Anyone else POAS recently? I broke down and did it this morning, and no luck. I know it's probably too early, but I just couldn't help it!!
