Hi Jmom~ I also had nondoubling betas, the RE thinks that it was a vanishing twin. I hated all these tests, I also got negative urine tests but the ultrasounds were always positive and she would be right on track. Maybe your baby is like mine and doesnt like tests. I wish you so much luck!!

Me. Check out the signature. The first 2 beta tests were like 4 days apart, so I wasn't doubling. Thank God it worked, though! My LO is currently napping. (Thank you God for that, too!!)

Hey there Jan~
I've been thinking about you. I know what you mean about this being so nerve wracking! It's like a slow, cruel, torture. I truely think your little guy is just taking it's time. There are alot of ladies who have started out in the 30's and had healthy babies. Keep positive thoughts. AFM~ My beta of 3.5 went up to 7.4 two days later. The Dr does not think it's going to be viable and has given me the option of stopping or continuing my meds and retesting in 2-4 days. I, of coarse have to keep taking the meds and find out my next #. I mean, I have the meds, why wouldn't I finish them and see what might happen. I have been (& i'm sure you have too) online looking at Low Beta numbers and successful pregnancies. I have found someone as low as 12 too, but i'm thinking 3.5 is way too low. But I absolutely need to see what is going to happen and give the little bean every chance. Although I am also realistic. Looking back, my first beta was 8dp3dt and the second 10d, third 12 days. Anyway I will be testing again on Tues, giving it another 4 days. I am going back to work, full duty on Monday. As I don't want to use us any more FLMA time. We are changing clinic and will be having a consult with a Dr who does more extensive autoimmume testing, like natural killer cells etc and treats with IVig tranfusions. This is all controversial stuff and my current Dr doesn't "believe" in it. I just need to find out if I may have these issues and then go from there and figure out what our next step is. My current Dr. has been suggesting Egg Donor, but we make great 8 cell, no fragmented embabies. Not against it, but just not there yet. We will see... I don't think I'm that old, thank you!! Sorry for rambling. Keep your head up, stay positive. Bridget
