Hi Jess. Sorry to hear about your BFN. I get down myself. I feel like I am always watching everyone get pregnant around me too. And, somehow I am always the one throwing baby showers lately for people at work. We are also trying to sell our house at this point, so that is the way that I don't concentrate on this all the time. My mom thinks we are nuts trying to sell our house at the same time, but I told her it gives me something else to think about. Plus, going to look at houses is fun for me. I also can get lost in a book too for a few hours, and that seems to help. I hope the site will help you. I know it has helped me feel not so alone.

Hi Everyone:

I went to the doc today and they gave me the layout of all the meds. I am getting excited. I was worried before about the possible side effects of all the meds (well just worried I would become very emotional), but for some reason I am not too worried anymore. I keep telling myself it's only for a couple of weeks. I also had the sounding done today. He said the trial run went fine and didn't expect any problems when it came time for the real thing.

How is everyone else doing? I am also looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello all! I will be doing IVF #3 this Nov. I started BCP's on Friday 10/2 the day of my first BETA from IVF #2 I got two days before my BETA which was horrible...IVF #1 was even harder... I had a BFP but miscarried. This makes three cycles this year, which I'm not so sure about. I'm not sure if it is better to go ahead or wait a couple months, especially with the holidays coming up. Anyway, my meds come tomorrow and I am doing the same antagonist protocol as last time with and est. ER around the 3rd of Nov. to all!!!

Hello ladies!

I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I hope I'm being premature! I just started a 4th IUI, but this will be the last. We are kind of doing it to fill some time. Then we will take a cycle off, then do IVF. I have a grant application to send in, so we wanted to do one last IUI while waiting. Then, we'll take a little break. That puts me on Lupron at the end of November!!

I really hope I don't need it, but it's always best to be prepared!

Hi guys! I am too doing my 3rd IVF cycle starting in November. My ER is early December though so I hope I can be in this group..

We are resting this month until my next period which should be October 27th when I start BCP, and meds.

My first IVF they canceled my transfer because all my eggs were mmature, they tried to mature them and 1 did and got fertlized but the cells didn't divide. 2nd IVF 2 out of 6 eggs were mature, they tried to mature the rest and were able to mature 2 the fertilized 3 and transfered 3 embryos, they were 3dt and moderately fregmented, BFN.

My RE suggested donor eggs since my past IVFs I have been a poor responder, but we want to exhauste all possibilities using my eggs. My protocol changed to the Estrogen Priming Protocol, not sure how this one works..

I really hope 3rd time's the charm!

Hi everyone and to the newbies to the group.

So I am waiting right now too, kind of in a quiet spell. It's kind of nice to not be rushing to the clinic for an IUI this month, and to get mentally prepared for the crazy few weeks next month (Especially at work, I am sure November I will be preoccupied.) I am starting acupuncture this Thursday (well starting back I had stopped for a few months for $ reasons with the IUI's.) And this month I will actually be excited to see as it means we can get started. My guess is about Oct 29. And then I will start the bcp and lupron shortly after. I don't know the name of my protocol? But I will be doing menopur and follistim as my stims. I don't know my exact ER and ET dates or anything as they are waiting to see my response to the stims. I also have a vacation planned which they will start stimming me as soon as I get back. I think it will be kind of nice, to have that as a final time of relaxation, and maybe have a drink or two as there won't be any follicles to harm. As soon as I get back and stims start no caffiene, no alcohol, and a super quality diet though.

I go up and down. I was really excited. Now I have fears some days that it won't work, and I have to keep myself in check. I have to balance the negative and the positive, and it's not easy to do. I have hope it will work eventually but I fear having another m/c mainly. I feel like it would feel really bad after all the work of IVF, and then I'd have to wait for my hcg's to go down, etc... before we could try again. I know I am getting WAY to ahead of myself, which is the challenge of infertility isn't it?

Anyways, sounds like the lot of us is kind of in that middle phase where we are just about to start the process when we will be quite nuts for a few weeks. The calm before the storm. I am trying to enjoy what I can of it, though I do wish I could just do the IVF now, maybe this was meant to be somehow.

I guess I should have asked the doctor yesterday, but I was wondering how long you have to wait in between IVF's if it doesn't work. Or, is everyone different and it just depends on your hormone levels? I wish I knew exactly when was coming. I refused bcp this month because last month when I was on them, I had cramps and spotting for 3 weeks. My body did what it wanted anyways, and didn't stick with the pills. So I figured why take it this time, but now I'm not sure of my time frame. That's what is driving me nuts, is wondering when everything will happen so I can plan for time off of work.

Hi girls...i would love to join all of you. I am doing my 2nd IUI this oct, but if it does not work...will be moving to IVF. I am also going to my RE next week to get started on the IVF process..supposedly..there is a protocol that needs to be followed and i do not want to waste precious time. I am excited yet nervous...and i am glad that a group is forming beforehand..so that all of us can go thru the process together and get to know one another!

I just mailed in my application for the grant that my clinic gave me and have an injection workshop in late October. If we have to do it, it will be because IUI#4 fails and then we will take one month off. So I guess I would start the cycle on CD3 in November, which would be right around Thanksgiving.
Have you looked into this grant, since you are in NY??? Your clinic has to participate, but if you don't have insurance coverage, it is a great option.

bistro..hi!..yeah i truly do hope we do not have to do IVF...but in all honestly...i am quite certain i will have too..i will keep my fingers crossed for you that this IUI works . I have to find out from my insu if IVF is covered..the thing is they cover everything that helps with the diagnosis of infertility...but they will not help with the main event...so they actually paid for all my ultrasounds and bloodwork for my iui..but they did not pay for the sperm isolation and the main transfer. I am having a talk with my RE on wednesday next week...and i will get a break down from the clininc about the cost and call the insu company getting details on what is covered and what is not! I wish all the insurance people included infertilty in their coverage you know...like we need money problems among the other crap we are going thru! But, thanks so much for letting me know...basically i had no idea such thing as a grant existed..
