What information can you awesome ladies give me about intralipid infusions? My RE just called me and wants me to come in next week to start this before my ER and ET later this month. I have a history of early loss and am giving IVF one last try before considering other options. Any success stories out there? Anything else I need to know? Thanks!!

I had my intralipids about a week ago! It's super easy and painless... this is my first time with it, but my clinic is big on this with early losses or immunology concerns. Of the women I know at the clinic, it seems to work well. Just FYI: I have yet to hear of an insurance company covering this... mine was $625 including the nurse (we did it at home). Good luck!!

Hi- I just started my Intralipid treatment last week and did not have any side effects. It was pretty easy and painless. Yes it is expensive though. I'm getting treated for high NKA cells. My RE used to only do IVIG but has moved to IL in the last 6 months and said he is seeing great results! When I was there 2 ladies were also getting the infusion both Pregnant. 12 weeks and 5 months! They had a history of miscarriages before.

I have natural killer cells and MTHR. My first was a BFN. I switched clinics and am on Intralipids as well as Humira. The intralipids is painless except for the pocketbook. Last Tuesday was my third and hopefully my last transfusion. I think it helped. I am 8 weeks pregnant. My Re wants to test me at the 11 weeks to see if I still need it. Overall, every little bit helps. It can't hurt. Good luck

That is great to hear and congrats!!! This gives me hope. My previous clinic said my only option was donor egg. I am hoping by doing these treatments first will result an a . I am also doing intralipids and Humira. Were you ever told it was your egg quality? I am wondering if doing intralipids can help egg quality also. thanks!

Hi Vintage,

I remember you from the February Thread. You are from the Bay area if I am not mistaken. I am not sure if Intralipids improve egg quality but it can't hurt. I am with Zouves Fertility Clinic. He was my last stop before donor eggs. I was told my FSH is too high, my eggs were poor and I had a low chance of pregnancy with my own eggs. I left my old clinic because he strongly suggested donor eggs. I was not ready to accept that I could not produce a biological child. I left him and am pregnant. I am glad I don't listen well.

Hi sophealy- that is right! I do remember you from the bay area clinic board. I also moved over to Zouves!! I'm glad you did not give up and look at you now! I've been going to the los gatos location for the IL since it is closer to me. I hope one day soon I can post on here I'm finally !!! thanks for all the advice. I'm really glad I moved to Dr Z.

Hello there Bay Area Ladies

I too will be seeing Dr Z. Vintagemonkey I got your PM, thank you for responding. I will be going to Dr Z's seminar this month and also have a phone consult.
I too was told (after 3 IUI & 3 IVF) that it is my egg quality and that I should consider egg donor. I am also just not ready to consider that yet. My clinic doesn't do the more extensive immune testing and I feel I need to know if this could possible be our issue. We make GREAT embabies~ 8 cell, grade 1 no fragmenting, so how can it be my eggies? Just hoping to find some answers and if not, than just a new prespective from a different doctor.
