Late October-Early November IVF

Good afternoon ladies! I was looking into starting a late October to early November IVF group. I've been looking and chatting with the original Oct 2009 IVF thread but feel a little left out. I was thinking that by starting this group now, any of us who are still waiting to start our meds to prepare for ER can get to know each other and of course vent our frustrations on having to wait.
My story is apparently more common than I thought. I went in a week ago today for a baseline u/s and bw. They found a nice big follie on my right ovary. This is crazy b/c I could even produce one on Clomid. B/c I had been taking Lupron and was on CD2 the doctors just decided to wait it out another 3 weeks before starting my meds. If everything works out my doctor is looking at ER on the 26th of October. We are hopeful that I will respond well. I did during our IUI tries so I see know reason otherwise.

I want to join you in late October to early November IVF group
At the end of October I will start with stims ( I'm not using bcp and lupron this time) and hopefuly if everthing is ok ER will be early November.
In my first IVF cycle during ER all eggs were empty inside ( even that b/w and ultrasound showed perfect with 25 mature eggs).
Since I was not happy with that clinic I changed clinic this time..
Now are doing different protocol and all I can do now is to

that this time I will not have problems with empty eggs and this cycle will be it

Hey girls! I will join you! I should start stims a little before Halloween. I was going to go forward this month but my RE office has their IVF lab closed for cleaning so it pushed me out another month.

Anyway, wanted to wish everyone good luck and I will be around.

I am brand new to this whole IVF process this will be my 1st cycle. I am on BCP and scheduled to start stims on 11/03 ER & ET mid Nov. I hope to learn and understand more about this process from the veterans. Wishing y'all nothing but the best and

Hey Ladies.. I will join your group as well... I'm waiting to start my 3rd IVF but waiting for my AF. We tried in August and got a BFN, I had my cycle on 9/1 but now I'm late and HPT said negative but my nurse said that the second cycle it's normal to be late by 2 weeks so we wait, as soon as it comes I start my BCP and hopefully we will have an early Nov. Hi Everyone! I just posted on the October 2009 IVF page, but my ER/ET is tentatively scheduled for early November, so count me in for this group!

My IVF #2 is underway! I had a chemical pregnancy with round 1, so we are hoping and praying for better results. So far, I started the BCP and will start Lupron on the 10th. I am really nervous about Lupron since this will be my first time using it. Wish me luck!

Also, do any of you have a blog? I just started one last night (no clue how to blog though so I am a total rookie). I thought it might be a good way to keep track of everything this time around. Any advice?

I'd love to join this thread too. I'm starting my stims Oct 17 with ER/ET just around Halloween or early Nov.

This is my second round and I'm nervous. Had a BFP the first time but it didn't work out. I'm scared to death that this won't work at all. I'm also on different meds this time and am just as confused as the first time LOL!

Hi Ladies --
I would love to join this group......... This will be my 2nd round of IVF as well, like some of you.........and coincidently, our last. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed with this one......for all of us!

A lot is riding on this journey! We had a FET get canceled this past July because our 4 frozen babies didn't make the thaw process. The rug was ripped right out from under us! My doctor wanted us to start a fresh cycle right away, but I needed time to heal emotional and physically (from all the shots.) It's funny, the first round of IVF, I could do most the shots myself, but during the FET cycle, my husband had to do all of them.......I was too scared to be honest. But, this cycle I will have to go back to doing most shots because of my DH's work schedule.........we have opposite schedules. He works nights and I work days. Anyway, I can't wait to chat with you gals. I start Lupron on 10/9 and I am currently on BCP. What are your thoughts on the H1N1 virus? Did any of you consider waiting after flu season?

I had been hanging out with the ladies over in the Oct 2009 thread as well. Even though they were great bunch, I too felt a little left out. After all I’m still waiting for my AF to make it’s appearances just so I can began taking BCP…wouldn’t ya know it’s late this month! Lol
This will be my first IVF, I’m a little…ok a VERY, nervous!! This is all new to me and I have so much to learn.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!

I would love to join this group too! Right now I believe our ER will be around 11/11. I started BCP on Fri. and I should hopefully get my my med outline soon.

We tried IVF in Sept. but cancelled our cycle because of my poor response to the meds - we only had about 4 eggs, and since this is our 1 chance at this we thought we would wait. I do know my Lupron dose will be a lot lower this time.

The shots don't seem as scary this time. Except for the IM ones - yuck.

Here's to luck for all of us this time!

I would love to join this group too...

This is my 2nd try at IVF.

The 1st one was text book perfect....responded well to the stims, got 10 good eggs at ER, 6 fertilized with ICSI and 2 excellent 8 cell embabies were transferred.

Then the day of beta we get the call - CONGRATS your pregnancy test was positive ...... BUT......my beta was only 22. Prayed and prayed for the numbers to double - but sadly they slowly went down to zero.

Took a nice 2 month break to get back to me...exercise, lose some weight....

So I am happier, healthier, 10 pounds lighter...and ready to start again. Have been on BCP since 9/22 and tonight was my 1st Lupron shot...

Looking forward to sharing the jouney with you all.

Hi guys- I was reading the other October thread & I posted this on the regular IVF board- in summary:
I went Thursday for my 2nd SIS & got suprising good news-apparently I "shed" my polyp all on my own & I am now OK to proceed with my cycle. I am already on BCP so I will be starting my stims in about 10 days.

I am very excited about starting our cycle, but I am also confused. I have a lot of anxiety about things going wrong, both for me and/or baby. I wish I could just feel happy about this but I can't seem to. Also, my DH is supportive, but he seems oblivious to my fears. I think this is his way of coping-avoidance basically, but I feel very alone right now. You all know how hard it is to talk about this with anyone....& my best friend just had her 1st baby a few weeks ago, so I am careful what I say to her because I know she feels bad for me, plus she has all the tyoical new mom worries...

Did/does anyone else have these types of negative feelings regarding IVF? One thing I am super anxious about is how the meds will affect me. I am a teacher & I have visions of me bawling or snapping students' heads off-not a pretty picture! I thought the clomid sucked, so I am imagining this to be worse <sigh> However, I am very excited to have a place & folks to share/wait with. Just think, in a few short weeks we will be on our way to pg. I will be

Moremama-
I am a teacher too, and I was worried about how all the meds would affect me and the 8th graders I teach. We were going to try IVF in Sept, but had to cancel after I took all the shots and meds. I seemed to do okay with everything, but what made it a lot easier was that a couple people knew what I was going through. That way if I had to be 2 minutes late to a class so I could go take a shot, they would cover for me. It was really nice to have people who could help me out.

I hope this helps in some small way.
