hello ladies. Geez I never realy tried to count up all my cycles but after reading your numbers I did. I had 5 clomid cycles, 1 iui and 2 ivf's. My problem is that I get pregnant and then beta goes down by the time I have my second one. I would have started iui's earlier but I switched RE's b/c I just didn't think the first ws agressive enoough. He just kept saying "let's get you pregnant" ah, duh, that's why I'm here. Plus, like so many out there, this is all out of pocket. So as I figure it now this cycle will hopefully give me the million dollar baby or babies. I am taking a baby aspirin a day. Even though all recurrent loss bloodwork was fine, it can't hurt. will be starting lupron on 12th. yeah!!!I've been on bcp so I hear you with the weight gain. not a lot, but enough to make my "comfy " jeans not so comfy...... It is pouring here so just inside with a fire and doing some house cleaning. have a nice weekend all!

thanks for restarting this thread for oct/nov.

3rdtimesthecharm -- We started out with CA Cryobank but then switched to Fairfax. The donor from CA Cryobank had one vial with a low number of sperm (they only gave me a credit for it, no refund) and I had an incidence of zero fertilization with the same donor. I have had no such problems after we switched to the new donor at Fairfax. I am worried though because there are no more vials of this donor left -- I have only 2 left at my RE's. I really hope the next round works so I don't have to panic about finding a new donor. I'm sorry to hear about the rash with the progesterone! I had the worst outbreak of acne in my whole life after the first time I used progesterone.

cagirl2003 -- Although it's hopeless for us, too, I temp during off months just to see if things are normal and if I ovulate (which I have so far on off months). My accupuncturist thinks it's a good guage of things.

justone - to the thread! maybe counting up cycles isn't the best idea as it is a little depressing the chemical pregnancies must be so heartbreaking but at least it shows that you can get pregnant. i always get depressed when my betas show that my embryos don't even try to stick around. i've heard baby aspirin helps with your situation, so hopefully the next round will be your turn.

justone: I’m with DDU and Sam, it is depressing to count them up! Oh, I’ve decided that I am going to take the baby aspirin too! There is another lady that was writing about it giving her nosebleeds and no one seemed to think that was a problem, so I’m there too! I’m just going to wait until I start Lupron and then I will stop a couple days before ER and then start up again before ET. I’m pretty sure I cannot take the aspirin if I am taking the percocet that they give me after ER.

DDU: I haven’t been thrilled with my counts from Fairfax, but hey, they at least got me pregnant…now they just need to keep me pregnant. I think we’ll stick with the same donor this time around that we used last time. We didn’t buy a bunch from them because we didn’t want to feel obligated to use a donor that we didn’t get decent fertilization with. Last I looked, they still had a few vials of our donor, so we should be good. The rash sucks, but it will be easier to hide now that the seasons are changing! Where are you doing your treatment? I noticed that your profile says you are in NY…if this cycle doesn’t work we are going to be looking into clinics in NY (Orange County/Westchester).

South: Hello there! How exciting that you might be able to start stims within the next week; I’m jealous! This will definitely be your cycle!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I’m calling my clinic again tomorrow to start harassing them about results so that we can move on and get a calendar!

Hi ladies!!! You ladies are amazing for how much you have gone through to be mothers and the babies are going to be so lucky to have someone who wanted them so bad. I have never had any infertility treatments other then IVF so maybe I need to be patient and keep telling myself that it takes time to get the right cycle...I refuse to give up and hopefully it will eventually work. Its my 28th bday today and its so depressing not being pregnant on top of getting older......

I guess I will jump in! Doing the estrogen priming part of my cycle now and should start stims toward the end of October. I think I have cycled with some of you girls before, sorry we are having to go through this again but at least there are some familiar girls out there!

Hi everyone. I'm glad to see this thread. The October thread is HUGE and full of optimistic first-timers. (Not that I have anything against them, I just can't quite relate.)

I'm on IVF#2, after 1 failed IUI and IVF. Because of my age and diagnosis, we didn't spend much time on other treatments before moving to IVF. I'm doing an EPP protocal, and in the estrogen priming phase right now. Hoping for baseline by this weekend, and expecting a BIG package of meds on Thursday.

Wow, I love it! Look how our little group is growing!!

Squito: I've made similar remarks quite a few times...I know that the first timers look to us for advice, and I am always happy for them when they find success...it's just hard with repeated failures to be surrounded by that.

al: Welcome back! This cycle will be the one!!

yoda: Welcome! It took the August multiple IVF crew a little while to migrate, but we are here now and excited for success!!

AFM: I got the word today that they have my results and DH's results so we are now just waiting for financial clearance. I am sure that they will call me tomorrow and I can pay by phone...if they do that, then I should have my calendar NLT Thursday. I was starting to panic that they wouldn't have any more slots left for this cycle if the results took too much longer...then again, I guess that would've meant that it was how things are supposed to be. I think that I'll call finance tomorrow morning to try and speed things along.

Hi Ladies!!! Yoda, Al & Squito. We were on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th July/August forum which was a great group but once people got their it started to die down and it was only like 5 of us left on there so we thought we could use more friends who are going through the same thing.

Squito-I hear you about the optimistic first timers, seems like its all some need to get a first time around.

AFM: I am on Day 4 of BCP's so nothing exciting here just waiting to get my schedule I should be starting Lupron toward end of next week.

Hi everyone!
I'm on the October thread already, but would like to join you ladies as well since it's my 2nd IVF. I also went through 3 failed IUIs. I'm feeling much more optimistic this time, since I know what to expect. My ER is tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping and praying for good eggies . We're doing all ICSI this time since those were the stronger one's last spring. Lots and lots of good luck and for all my fellow "try again"ers !

Thanks for the welcome, and it's great to see this group growing.

Well, my timeline has been pushed up a bit. My cycles have been a bit wonky since my last IVF cycle a few months ago, and AF showed up early yesterday. (I didn't do BCPs this time around out of fear of oversuppression so no nicely timed AF for me.) Sooo, I made a hasty call to my clinic and went in for my baseline this morning. Stims start tomorrow. Here we go . . . .

Samantha, I think you're up next. When do you think you'll start?

JP1981, happy belated birthday. Sorry you're feeling down about not being pregnant as you turn 28. One great thing, however, is that you started this journey in your 20's instead of 10 years later when it may be too late. You will be successful -- I know it.
