Hi Girls I hate that I miss all the night time action on the boards seeing I am asleep by 8:00.

Justone- I am so excited for you. I am sure you will have great embies to choose from. Tomorow you will be PUPO

3rdtime- Holy Cow!! I will that you will have ET on the 11th. Thanks for putting my name on the list. I was too scared to. Don't worry about your lining. With my Son and this my lining was at 9 something at day of trigger. It will be perfect.

Bino- that you get to trigger today. You are too much! I love that you did that to DH. I always have a lot of CM and I thought it had to do with all the follies

JDW- I am so happy that you know around when you will transfer . This is such a busy month it will be here befor you know it

JP- for trigger. Can't wait to hear how it goes As far a pineapple and grape juice I ate pineapple for the 1st 2 days after transfer and then drank a couple of cups of grape juice. I did not do something everyday. I have to say I did rest more than usual

Genevieve- 4 days you are soo close. Can't wait to hear your news.

All same here just waiting for Tuesday and for a nice strong number. I hope everyone has a nice day

Samantha

Hi ladies! trigger went well last night so happy to have no shots tonight.
Justone-we plan on transfering 2 since the RE's dont like letting me do 2 due to my age. I dont see why it matters given my 2 failed cycles but still. We are going to give assisted hatching a try this time...i mean if it came down to it and they were lower quality then normally we would consider 3. I so much rather tripplets then a although DH is petrified of having tripplets! twins would be perfect aside from being high risk the entire pregnancy.
Will you get an embryo update today? do you still plan on transferring 4?
Genevieve-wow!! two whole pinneapples and a couple gallons of grape juice? i am not a huge grape juice fan so whatever it takes. I did it for my both prior cycles but not nearly enough to make a difference.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!!

Hey girls.

Sorry I have been MIA. For our final fertility challenge, I decided to just not talk about, dwell about it or jinx it in any way. I told no one .... not parent, sibling, friend, forum member or anyone.

Since our last IVF, we concluded that IVF wasn't going to work for us at all given how my body responds -- freakish amout of eggs, crappy quality so we did a low tech IUI this cycle with injectibles. IUI was 2 weeks ago and beta was Friday. I wasn't even going to take the beta because I was sure it failed but I POASed Thursday so I could tell the RE why I was blowing it off. Turned out, it was positive.

Now, I have been at this long enough to know that the +HPT is just one of many key steps that have to go right in order for there to be a baby in our future with the most important getting through the rising betas. For some reason, perhaps b/c I have been preggers before, I suspect a chemical. Mostly, b/c I am not feeling like I am preggers. Just a hair of boob tingling and nothing else. Anyway, I took the beta and waited for the results. Of course the lab screwed up and instead of getting them yesterday, I got them 5 seconds ago - murphy's law at it's best. Anyway, the number was just 35. The RE says the important thing is the trend and I should stay calm. Betabase says that 15 days post IUI, the median HCG is 131 so I am feeling like this is doomed.

Anyone hear of any success stories with such a low beta?

JustOneMore - It's good to see you post. It sounds like you've been through quite a bit with your IUI. As far as the numbers, I've read posts from plenty of other ladies with an initial lower beta number where they've gone on to deliver a healthy baby. The important thing is if the number doubles and continues to go up. Remember that having a high beta number doesn't assure a viable pregancy either. I know its so hard having it out of your hands now. Best of luck to you and I hope that those beta numbers continue to rise for you.

JUST walked in..... got dragged to an art show after RE appt....uuugghhh. Would rather have been home!

I've got like 5 mins, and then I'll be back later.

Ok ----thank you for your prayers. We got the greenlight to trigger tonight. ER monday morning.

Final readings:
20 Follies (sprouted 6 more from Thurs....odd!) I think we'll end up w/ 12/13 mature, there are 7 under 14.

Lining shrunk from 11.3 to 9....odd; but I guess it happens.

e2 - 1994; which I thought was low. Last cycle was 3600 w/ 17 eggs and 13 mature. RE seemed happy with it though.

10,000 Novarel tonight.... I'm scared!

Hubby is leaning over shoulder b/c he needs the computer.....be back as soon as I can get him off the computer !!!!

Thanks for all the support guys. My second beta is supposed to be Monday but my RE is in tomorrow so he said I could come to the office and he will do the 2nd beta. They do their own bloodwork right there so I will have results within an hour. Please keep me in your prayers. I am mentally preparing for a chemical but boy oh boy would I love to see the number shoot up.

Justonemore - Congrats on your . It is hard not to stress. I hope #'s look GREAT tomorrow.

JP- I hope all goes PERFECTLY tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how it goes

Justone- In just a few short hours you will be PUPO . I can't wait to hear about you embies. Pineapple and Grape Juice are suppose to help the embies implant. You are suppose to eat fresh pineapple with the core I think about a cup a day . I think the grape juice is the same amount.

Bino- for trigger! Best of Luck with your trigger. Lots of follies. Just think this will be your last shot or do you do PIO?

jp: GL tomorrow! I’m sure you will have great eggs!

justone: GL with your ET tomorrow! You’ll be the next one of us that is PUPO!!!

Genvieve: I know it seems like forever, but that u/s is right around the corner! We’re all excited to hear what you have cooking!

South: Your numbers on Tuesday will be outstanding! I can’t wait to hear their progression.

JOM: Congratulations! I’m so happy to see that the IUI worked for you. Don’t worry about your numbers (I know that’s easier said that done); what is important is that they double properly. There are LOTS of ladies that have had betas like yours (or lower!) and have had successful pregnancies. If I remember correctly, there was even a lady that started out at 4.3 and should be about 30 weeks pregnant now.

bino: yeah for trigger! I’m glad you didn’t have to go through the medicine stress!! I know last cycle my lining went from an A to a B on the day I ended up triggering…the doc said it had something to do with the body producing progesterone.

AFM: No call today. I am going to continue to do just a little bit less on my meds because I am nervous about my E2. I know that I’ve done fairly well at 6500 before, but I really don’t feel like testing my limits. I’m also really starting to get tired of my Lupron brain…last night I left the heating pad plugged in, on high, all night long (I wasn’t using it)…I didn’t realize I’d left it on until I got to my appointment and I was sitting in line. It’s an older model, so it doesn’t have an automatic shut off…oops! At least there wasn’t a fire and nothing happened. It just made me nervous. On the housemate front, I could have killed one of them last night. I’ve been having a hard time sleeping while anxiously awaiting my appointments…so last night I finally feel asleep around 1:30. At 3:30, one of my housemates came home with some of her friends…they stood right outside my door talking for a while, ran up and down the stairs so they could use the bathroom and finally ended by slamming the door. I did not make it back to sleep until well after 4 and had to be up at 5. Needless to say, I came home and napped...now I will probably have trouble sleeping tonight…it’s a vicious cycle.

Sam-thanks, I am so happy to have made it this far

Bino-congrats on triggering tonight!!!

Justone-yeah I go to RSC. I was supposed to go in for 10am and have ER at 11am but they called me today asked that DH get there at 9:30am because of scheduling conflict. Something tells me that they are going to be very busy tomorrow. Good luck tomorrow! I am sure you will have great looking embryos be sure to stock up on grape juice and pineapple!!! will you be taking time off work?

3rdtimes-your housemates annoy me I can’t believe how inconsiderate they are of other people living there. Does the lady who owns the place also live there? just think only a few more weeks and you are out of there. I am not sure what my E2 level was but the day before trigger day was around 1400. So I must have been in the 2000 yesterday...I try not to ask too much because sometimes I feel better the less I know.

AFM: I was talking to DH today about how happy I am with everything to be feeling good and already have my ER tomorrow. So he is like I know me too, then he is like “you know what I am doing tomorrow night,” so I was like “ummmm….” Then he goes “I am going to get a bottle of wine and sit in the hot tub, I’ve been thinking about it all week.” So clearly our priorities are slightly different but I still laughed because I know he didn’t mean it that way. We are leaving the house at 7am I need to be at my acupuncturist’s house for 8:30am

hello ladies, I was researching last night and there was quite a bit of conflicting eveidence on pineapple juice. It can cause uterine contractions if too much is consumed leading to miscarriage. I couldn't find anywhere though"what too much was". As for grape juice, couldn't find anything on it but also did not find negatives. So I think I'll stick with grape juice and avoid the pineapple. My RE didn't recomend this but I've heard this in several places that you should with DH night before tsf. Supposedly it puts sperm in the right places to make a more natural environment. IE;easier for implantation. too late for that for me as DH is out of town last night and won't be home until later this afternoon.

for those of you who take royal jelly/bee pollen...how long do you continue? I have like 2 pills left and just not sure if I need to go get more. Can it continue to help quality after transfer
jp good luck today, can't wait to hear your numbers
I hope jp enjoys the hot tub, I have to admit, I miss using ours so much!!!there is nothing like wine and a snowy night in the hut tub.
jom-praying for you this am. I hope all goes well for you
bino-yeah for 20 follies and triggering. any med mishaps?
sam-how do you feel?
I'll be leaving at about 9:30 to get to boston. DH is away so I'll be solo. As it is a sunday, there shouldn't be much traffic. This afternoon, I'm just making stuffed shells and looking through recipe books for turkey day recipes. I'm hosting this year. Anyone have any great veggie recipes for turkey day? There are 4 small piles of leaves in the backyard that I'm going to make DH pick up when he gets home. I will work tomorrow but, I have mostly administartive duties and only 2-3 patients so it should be pretty low key day for me

Hey guys,

Well, we are NOT doubling properly.

1st beta 35
2nd beta, 48 hrs later, 48

If this is a chemical (and how could it not be), I wish the numbers would just start coming down already. This is the ultimate tease -- go up a little but not enough to really qualify for a healthy trend.

I am so down and we are having a 5 yr old bday party for my daughter today. I just want to crawl in bed and hide from the world but instead, I have to put on a happy face and entertain 20 kids. Just not my day.

Next beta, Wednesday. It would have been Tuesday but of course I am away on business that day and couldn't make it. I feel like I need to atone for something -- things are just going my way at the moment.
