Fun, fun, fun.

Good weekend to all!

Congrats on starting stims! Things are going to move pretty quick from here on out (that is except for the 2ww).

AFM: I had my friends baby shower this afternoon which was really nice. DH and I went out to dinner and now we are on the way to see Couples Retreat which I have been dying to see. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!
I'm only doing it to save myself the hassle later on. Plus, then I know that DH is eating something that's fairly good for him. Enjoy Couples Retreat. DH and I saw it last weekend and we enjoyed it. I think it was the first time that we have been to a movie together in quite some time.

to Anj70 and bino! I don't even want to talk about the extra 10 IUI/IVF pounds I'm carrying around this year. I have to force myself back into the gym if this cycle doesn't work.

3rdtime: I'm impressed with your motivation and organization to make food ahead of time. I'm just trying to squeeze grocery shopping in tomorrow so that there's food in the house to be cooked later.

Skittles and RSF: Hope your first day of injections went well. You'll be at ER before you know it.

JP: Hope you guys enjoyed the movie. Kudos to you for going to a baby shower and being able to be positive about it.

Samantha: Hope the ganirelex did it's job and you are on track to trigger!

AFM, Today's check showed 16 follies -- a feat I never thought possible with my ovaries. A couple are in the 18-19 range, but most are around 15ish so I'm going to do one more round of injections tonight. Last check is tomorrow morning and trigger is tomorrow night. DH is going to be out of town for two and a half weeks on 3 different trips starting Wed., so we just made it under the wire w/o having to freeze a sample. I updated the calendar with my ER date. I'm starting to get nervously excited. Next worry: that the eggs aren't any better quality than last time.

Waiting on

Things are starting to get exciting!

Skittles - congrats on the greenlight!

Squito- awesome to hear you're responding so well to the stims! I bet you're excited to trigger! Glad dh's "candidates" will be warm and toasty for your eggies. Stay positive on the egg quality, good vibes baby, good vibes. I've been on DHEA for 3 mos, in my April cycle one of the gals swore by it, and she got preggers. Figured it couldn't hurt. Already popping a zillion vitamins and pills anyway!

Samantha - Did you trigger? Follie count sounds super! I'm excited for you

3rd - you're a good wifey to take such wonderful care of the hubs. That's sweet! You're going to be an awesome mommy I bet you're a good cook.

justone - hope you had a great night!

AFM - "Lupron head" after only one day. (uugghh!) I just hate the lupron. And the RE also has me on metaformin for PCOS, and it's producing hazardous waste! (How nice for me). I'm hung over from my last night out yesterday! I danced, and laughed, and danced some more. It was great to let loose.

It's "biketoberfest" here in Daytona, and the streets are packed with people. All our friends rode their bikes down to main street. Of course we don't have a bike....b/c we have fertility bills instead! Oh- the joy of being "fertility poor"! (Venting)

Smiles! Robin

That's awesome, Samantha! 23 follies is terrific. There has to be a good one (or 2 or 3 or more . . .) in that bunch.

It seems we're on the same schedule. I trigger tonight and have ER on Tuesday morning at 8:00 am, too. I think we are on opposite coasts, though, so I'll be 3 hours after you.

If we have 4 or more of good quality on day 3, we'll go to day 5. If not, then it'll be a day 3. My eggs didn't look very good last time, so I wouldn't be surprised by a day 3 transfer. I'm hoping, however, that they're a little better as a result of all the healthy living and supplements I've taken over the last few months. My RE says that you can't change egg quality, so I am very curious to see whether this batch looks any different than the last.

What's your plan, and do you know how many you are going to transfer?

Squito - I hate that they say there is nothing that you can do for egg quality. I believe you are doing what is best for you and hope you see a good change . You have a good plan. We hope to do a 3 day transfer. Last time we did day 2 and transfered 3 but quality seems to be our issue as well. So we will transfer 3 if they are 6 cell grade B or better and if not so good we will transfer 4 . I hope EPP does the trick for our eggs.

I would love to joing your group. This will be our fourth attempt at IVF with one cycle being cancelled. Will start stims on 10/27 and estimated retrieval and transfer week is 11/7-11/12. Have been doing acupuncture, royal jelly, bee pollen, herbs, and the list goes on and on. Hopefully this will be it I wish everyone the very best.

3rdtimes-i would also love the chicken chili recipe. DH grew up a vegetarian but he doesn’t mind chicken so I would love to try it out!

Justone-hope you had a good time last night, I had my last glass of wine on Fri night…
Do your friends know about ivf? Only 3 of my friends know, I haven’t told any of my friends from college which I sometimes feel bad about but I do find it easier dealing with it with less people knowing and asking about it. YAY for last BCP pill!!!

Squito and Sam-Congrats on triggering, I am so excited for both of you!!!

Sam-23 follies is amazing!!! Sounds like you have responded great to your new protocol. I am so happy for you!!!

Is the EPP supposed to improve eqq quality? Is FSH usually associated with egg quality? (if this cycle doesnt work my RE will be changing my protocol so just wondering)

Mel- sounds like we are in a similar situation cycle wise. I also had a laparoscopy in September and that it did the trick. My HSG showed a blocked tube and RE thought that there is some hydro per the ultrasounds and I have it to tries with a
I thought I was going to need the blocked tube removed but it turns out that I had a cyst at the end of it which was removed and both tubes were saved. My RE doesnt recommend trying IUI's since my chances of an etopic are higher due to removing the cyst from the tube so back to IVF

AFM: The Lupron has been treating me fantastic so far, no complaints, I am one week away from my suppression check. The extra ivf pounds suck, I haven’t been at the gym since May. Today I promised myself that I will due the Bosu ball video once a day since it’s a light enough workout but its still better then nothing.
