what time do you do your shots?

I start my Lupron tonight.

My 1st IVF cycle we did all evening shots at 7:30pm. Since that cycle ended in an early mc (chemical), I took a 2 month break and started really getting back into exercising and taking classes after work.

Tues and Weds my classes are at 7:30pm and 7:15pm.

Once I start stims, I am stopping the classes - but want to try to exercise as much as I can while I am still in my suppression cycle.

So. my question is - do my Lupron before my classes or after????

If I do it before, I will realistically need to do them at around 6:45pm bc of the time it takes to get to the gym. If I do it after, its going to be more around 9pm. Is that too late??

HELP !!! When do you do your shots and when do you think I should do mine???

THANKS ALL !!

When I started my injections for this cycle, my RE's office instructed me to try to do them about the same time every night, at some point between 6-9pm, so I normally did them at 7:30-ish, but there were a few nights where I had an evening obligation that would last past 9pm and had to do the shots around 6 before I went out, and a couple times where I was out during the day & got home later than expected and had to do them closer to 9. The only one I absolutely HAD to do at a specific time was the trigger.

I would definitely recommend talking to your RE to see if there's a specific time window that s/he would like you to do your shots in.

I wish you the best of luck with this cycle!

My doctor told me I could do them whenever, morning or night, as long as I was consistent with the time each day. I decided on 6:30 because I'm home from work by then but if we have plans they are usually after that. So far it's worked out okay - I've given them anywhere from 6:15 to about 6:50.

My RE wanted them done between 7pm to 11 pm and at the same time every night. The reason they want them done at the same time is because when you start going in for your B/w and untrasounds the growth of your follicles will be compared from day to day. So lets say you do your shots every night at 7 and then one night you dont do them until 11, if you go for your B/W and u/s your follicles may not have grown as much as usual based on the fact that they didnt have that extra 4 hours to grow. I always did mine at 9 because I knew that i would be home by 9 evry night. I would definately set a time at like 930 so you know you will be home at that time every night. Good Luck

I was told to do my Lupron shot in the morning some time between 6-9am, and then my stim shots in the evening between 6-9pm. I picked a time that was basically the same. I would do my Lupron at about 6:30am and my stims at about 8pm.

Good luck with your cycle!!!
