Will my IVF cycle get canceled?
Hi my name is Gabrielle I've been reading for a long time and really am in need of advice. I have Pcos and am a poor responder to meds. I am in a cycle of IVF now on day 8. My question is on day 6 my E2 was 70 with 5 follies on each side around 8-10mm. They upped my meds. Today is day 8 and I still have 5 follies on each side all around 10mm I don't have my E2 back yet and the clinic said they would problebly up my meds. Do you think my cycle is a bust? I would love to hear any uplifting stories.

Day 10 4-follies 12mm the rest 10mm lining doubled. My cycle is getting canceled waiting on E2 is not above 200 were done  E2 200 even were a go still. E2- 944  Day 12 8 follies on each side from 17-11mm Trigger 10-26-09 Retrieval 10-28-09.....20 follies...9 egg's Fert Report only 3 fertilized they are growing Transfer 10-31-09 3 emmbies  Beta 11/13---17 3 large cysts nowBeta 11/16---81 Beta 11/18----138 Beta 11/20----151 Doc said it's not vialbe

Waiting to get my E2 levels back today if it's not above 200 were done. I feel completely hear broken I know were done. I don't know were to go from here. Prayers please

Me-Denise- 39- fsh of 4.7-6.2, all clear. Tiny cervix may be the culprit or just old. I don't know. DH-Jason-35 Perfect 3 cute Chihuahua babies. We live in Texas. Jan 21, 2009 First RE appt All test good. FSH, Clomid Challenge, HSG Feb 2, 2009 IUI #1 February 15, 2009  March 2nd. 6wks Cramping. blood, Beta 500  IUI #2 May 2009 June 22nd Sonogram. Heartbeat. Measuring 6 days small though June 29th #2 Devistated.Work up and NEW RE: Batter of tests -Everything checks out fine. Only blip is IGM medium positive, which has nothing to do with anything. Bad luck? one more IUI then maybe IVF with PGD IUI#3 10/8 POAS  IVF#1 and hopefully my last 10/28 Materal Fetal Medicine 2nd opinion on IGM positive on test that was found. Nov 4th Start BCP for Antagonist IVF protocol Nov 21st Start Stims 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur

I am sorry! Have a talk with your RE to review the options for meds and treatment that fit you better. IVF is a course of learning, almost trial and error. It is hard but I am sure next it will be better!

I am sorry to hear you are going through this. Hopefully, this cycle will work out. If not, please don't give up hope. Often, a change in protocol, change in RE, or both will make a huge difference in the success or failure of a cycle.

I've been in your same boat. I am also a very poor responder. I've been slow to grow before with my first IVF. I didn't have ER until day 16 so sometimes it just takes a little longer. My 2nd IVf was cancelled because I quit responding with about 10 follicles between sizes 12-15. We converted to IUI, but it didn't work because they weren't quite mature yet. I've been on straight follistim and follistim/menopur combination. I don't think one really works better than the other for me. I wish I could say something positive about being a poor responder but I have been told by my RE my chances of even making mature follicles are low. If I ever do another IVF we are using a donor. I can't put myself through the roller coaster of not responding. Good luck and I hope your E2 went up!

God gave me a miracle today! My E2 jumped to 200 even. The doctor said I was just really slow! I go back saturday morning for b/w and us. Thank you all for your kinds words and advice.

I was also a very slow responder. On day 3 of stims my E2 was 40
. So on day 5 I got E2 153 - I was sure I am getting canceled since I read on the internet that these were low numbers. By retrieval day I was around 1500 with 9 follicles. Don't give up hope, it takes only one good egg to make a baby. I am now prengnant, waitting for my 1st ultrasound. Beta#1 - 85 Beta#2 - 200 Stay positive!

What a relief...Day 12 today 8 follies on each side from 11-17mm Wow what a jump
 I'm triggering monday night and retrieval will be wendsday am transfer for sunday. They were quit happy with the big jump in size! Thank you all for your input...baby dust to all
