How to tell DH you're pregnant

So, for all the hell we've been through, I'm thinking that it'd be nice to do something creative/thoughtful/romantic to tell DH you're pregnant.

What are some ways you've done it?

I bought a red sox shirt that said
Boston red sox Future Fan. It is a maternity shirt and was big but he got the point. I also had the same shirt on when I showed my family,

I'm not too creative, especially with all this IVF stuff... Every single time I got pregnant, I called him immediately to tell him. Only b/c you go thru so much and SO MUCH can still happen - that you are not out of the woods yet...I guess it's just not as exciting to me anymore than if this was the first time getting pregnant... kwim? Just b/c of everything that I've been thru... I'm sorry - this "reply" didn't come across like I wanted it too!

Having gone through IVF and getting the BFP, I wasn't creative. I just came in dancing and jumping with the pee stick. (I do one Pee stick hours before beta to be prepare for the call). I think its hard to be creative when they know your cycle and when you are 'pose to know. Now telling others we sent out the 12 week scan on a post card saying whoo hoo we are finally expecting baby # 2 and for my parents made t-shirts that said grandparents 2 b again! We keep mum until chances of MC goes to less than 1% around 12-13 weeks.

IVF is so much different. He knew of every scan or bloodwork date I had scheduled. I was real original....I called him at work and said "it worked". He was very calm, knowing that it was very early and anything can happen. It's just so easy to get all excited and worked up.

i haven't been lucky enough to use it yet, but before when i thought we'd get preggers the old fashion way...i was going to make dinner for him and make sure everything had the word "baby" in it...like baby-back ribs, baby corn on the cob, etc...

my husband only knows what i tell him about each cycle...so i think it will be easy for me to suprise him...hopefully )

i just cant wait for the chance to do it!!

Like others said it is hard for it to be a surprise with IVF, but he was not at his desk when I got the call so I left a message...something like you're going to be a daddy...I cannot remember the exact words!

One girl I work, who conceived naturally, bought a pair of baby shoes, wrapped them and gave them to hubby at dinner...I thought that was touching!

My sis in law suggested an evening at the beach with her DH and their young son. She took her little boy down to the waters edge and they began writing in the sand. She then called her hubby over to see what they wrote and it said "Mommy's pregnant"....

The ending to my story is not good ( )...but with IF its one day at a time

So DH knows most of whats going on. Several days before my beta I took a digital hpt in am. It said pregnant so I left it on his side of the sink so when he got ready for work he would see it. He came downstairs- and didn't say a think! So I had to ask if he "found" something...he said he did but didn't have his glasses on and asked if it said what he though- I said put your glasses on! So at the bottom of our stairs he pulls the stick out of his pocket!! It was a funny moment. I waited to be sure and did not share with him when I though I saw an ohh so light line the day before on a different test.

I hope I can do something next time b/c there will be another time. Our FET is 11/11.

This is not that creative, but my DH was out of town for work when I peed on the stick before my beta. I took a picture of the HPT with the word "Pregnant" on it on my cell and sent it to him while he was in his meeting. I wish I could have seen his face! (Now, waiting on those words to come up when I was all by myself is a whole other story . )
